American diesel provided my dad with professional, quality service. Even when things didn’t go as planned, to no fault of their own, American diesel was able to swoop in and keep working until it was right again. My dad would recommend them to any one of my close friends and family because that’s how he was treated there.

BEWARE! First off I never write reviews but this one is unavoidable. I hope no one experiences what I have because of this shop. I had an Egr go out on my 6.0 Ford. American diesel said they would take car of it. The staff was friendly but never ever called me when they said they would. When it came to the truck it was water locked. And needed a new Egr. The work was done and I picked up the truck a few days later. I drove it less the150 miles before it lost power and died. Truck would no longer start hot or cold. I called them they instantly had a tow truck pick it up. 3 days later I got a call that 4 injectors are now bad. I told them you might as well change all of them. Another 3 days went by with no call. So I called and had it towed to a Ford store just because of the lack of communication. The Ford tech had it for a month Fixing various things causing a no start. Then told me all 8 injectors failed because American diesel messed up the fuel spring during assembly which made the truck loose fuel pressure and cause the injectors to fail. They broke my wiring harness for the glow plugs which caused a short. Afterwards I had to replace the wiring harness and the glow plug on cylinder 4. Now I am on my way to Texas (made it to Tucson ). A wrench light came on and then the check engine light came on. I found a great diesel shop that said the Wrench light is the oil cooler not properly functioning causing the oil temps to go too high which can cause complete engine failure. The turbo now has an under boost code caused from the coolant being redirected to the turbo during the failed EGR that lead to clogging the turbo veins.This was all caused because American diesel cut corners and did not do their ethical duty to do the right work the first time and it has not cost me in total $9,000 in two months which should have only been $3000 if it was done right the first time. Please take my advise and STAY CLEAR OF THOS SHOP!

1st time there. Went in for a repair, they mistakenly repaired the wrong item based upon the touch of a keyboard selection. But repaired the correct item no questions asked and no additional funds out of pocket. The prices are cheaper than most places I shopped for the repair needed. The customer service is great and very knowledgeable in response to my questions on The how tos.. I will definitely continue bringing my Diesel truck there for service and repairs.

Took my 2003 Chevy in for a oil leak that seemed pretty bad. It was Blow By. Never words you wish to hear. Instead of trying to sell me on a new block or rebuild, they suggested a much faster and inexpensive repair. They did state it doesn’t always work but they felt it was worth a try. So I agreed on it. And bam. It worked very well. I don’t trust mechanics. I build rock crawlers and do all my own work. But I have never touched a Diesel engine before. So I took the recommendation of a friend and came here. They will be the only ones to EVER work on my diesel. They have earned my business for life.

Took my truck in to have brake fluid and power steering fluid flushed, the quote seem reasonable. I think so far they are pretty good , the only thing negative I have to say is it was $100 more than it started out, however they did find a fuel leak and replaced some parts which Im good with, I only wished they would have called me first. If I have anything else I will give them another shot at it. Nick seems to be a pretty good guy to deal with.

I like to wait a bit before I review a new shop, this way I get to see how the work they did turns out.American Diesel floored me. This coming from a person that has been in the auto/bus repair business for many years.Lets start with their customer service and office atmosphere. They allowed me to stay in their waiting room with my dog the whole day and made me completely comfortable doing so. All of their staff were very friendly and helpful, especially as I would occasionally ask questions throughout the day...as I waited patiently for them to complete the work.Their technician, I believe his name is Dave, was an incredibly talented diagnostician. He had a great grip on the workings of the vehicle, how to diagnose the issues and how to repair them. I could not have asked for a better master tech than that. In fact, I would have loved to have this guy work for me back in the day.These guys went above and beyond in handling my issues and if I am within hundreds miles of them, I will head to their shop again in a heartbeat!I cannot thank you all enough for doing a fantastic job and keeping my costs down. It was a great feeling to drive away from your shop with confidence.I applaud the integrity and skill by which this business operates and find them to be a very rare breed of excellence!Thank you againMarneen & Dash

Poor customer service. I kept getting the run around for about a week. Finally got tired went and picked up my truck with only half the work done that I had asked for. Not coming back

Drop my truck off for a bumper to bumper check and after a few days after purchasing the truck from a dealership I had about seven to eight oil drops in my driveway which concerned me so I inspected my truck and found my high pressure hose to my power steering pump is leaking it is leaking all over the engine down my axles so I dropped the truck off to be checked cuz I was very concerned about it 2 days later I ended up getting a call that they didnt find nothing wrong with my power steering pump but my engine has to be pulled out of my truck because theres gasket that need to be replaced the oil is leaking so I immediately got my truck because it is not leaking oil my oil levels have not changed since I bought that truck have driven it for over a month religiously checking the oil levels and has not changed sensed oil levels have been fine after picking up my truck got it home and inspected it there was nothing clean under the truck and i inspect it and with further inspection I am missing a power steering bolt now how they missed a missing bolt in my power steering pump and the high pressure hose leaking is beyond me but my truck was not leaking oil it is still not leaking oil and if I wasnt mechanically inclined person I would have just been screwed out of thousands of dollars please know somewhat of your truck mechanically before bringing it into a shop so you know more less what is going on I feel this was just a case of being too busy rushing a job and its a bummer because I just wanted my truck fixed so I purchased the parts myself and Im going to fix the truck and I dont think I will ever take it anywhere it really scared me to hear that my engine need to be pulled out good luck

Had some gauges installed at the shop, felt like the customer service could have been a lot better. To test it I asked what safe pyro numbers were and was brushed off and told that anything over 1000 would hurt the motor, which is not what I expected to hear from a shop specializing in diesel motors. The work on the gauge mount was adequate but $300 worth of labor and the wiring was hooked up incorrectly, so that the night mode on the gauges only worked with the headlights off. Theres a screw in the pillar that doesnt sit flush - not a functionality issue but sloppy work in my opinion. The probe for the EGT Gauge was installed in the front half of the exhaust manifold rather than the rear, so the cylinders that are getting the hottest arent necessarily being registered on the gauge. Shop ordered a 2200 degree egt gauge instead of a 1500 degree gauge (its a daily driver and a tow vehicle, not a drag truck) without asking if I had a preference. Again, not a functionality issue but definitely an annoyance when I drove an hour to the shop and paid for professional labor. Finally work had to be delayed by a week because initially the wrong parts were ordered. Dont plan on returning, too many minor issues and indications of careless work for me to trust these guys with anything major.

I called them up and told them the what was going on and with 80% possibly told me what it could and to bring it down I did it was a boot off of the turbo line he had one of the techs go take a look he fixed it with in 20 min. And didnt charge me that is great customer service I will be going back there for all my work and letting everyone I know with a diesel were to go and I know a lot

So my truck needed an injector and I was referred by a friend to American Diesel. Called the other day and got a quote to get an injector replaced on my 6.0L Ford and it was HALF of what the dealer quoted. Made an appointment that worked for me and was able to drop the truck off in the morning and pick up before close. Truck runs great and I will definitely be calling American Diesel again for any of my service needs. Thanks Jr. for getting it all set up and scheduled for me.

Ok. Honest opinion. Will never use this mechanic again. Heres my why.I appreciate honesty on all levels. Specially your word. They told me 5 different times that they would call me. At a specific time and before any repairs were done. Sounds like what a mechanic should do.Yet. They never did. Ever time I waited till said time they would call. They never did. So I had called them. All 5 times. Also, they did two repairs without contacting me first. As they said they would. Plus charging me for said uncommunicated repairs.So...Even though they did complete what I needed.Unless you have deep pockets and endless patience.I can not and do not recommend this business.

Rancho Ford wanted $6,500 to fix my F-250. A friend recommended American Diesel so I had the truck towed over for a second opinion.They took extra care with the diagnosis since the Ford quote was so heavy.In the end, they had me back on the road for just under $1,050. That saved us a lot!A BIG thanks from my family to American Diesel for that. You guys have earned my future business.

Unethical business practice. I was brought in with my engine torn down to show me all that was wrong. I was quoted a price of 10,000.00 dollars. I agreed to that amount,. However I was never given paperwork.This was a commercial truck and I am told by law a work order has to be made and signed. Non of this was done. When I was called to let know it was complete Jr. said I owed another 3000.00. I of course said no way , I was never notified of the extras . I was told by Jr. that he was out of town and his crew performed extras that they thought was needed. I was never told what the extras were. I said I was not paying that because i should have been notified and approved,. I dont just happen to have 3000.00 extra laying around . Jr. said well how about giving us 1000.00. I said no i dont have that laying around and I was quoted 10,000.00 so thats what Ill pay. It was agreed. My son took in a check for 10,000 and picked up the truck. Now they have sent to collections for 1500.00 more. Seems their prices change at the drop of a hat. First wanting 3000.00 then 1000.00 now 1500.00. There is absolutely no paper work showing extras and surely nothing with my signature on it approving anything. How can you expect to charge someone that much extra without approval. To top it off when we got the truck back it was still not fixed. They cracked the exhaust and the smell in the cab was so bad you couldnt hardly drive it. The check engine light was on and indicated 2 other problems. I took it to 2 other shops before they could find the problems. Which were all electrical. The computer was also cleared and we had to send back to the MFG to get re-programmed. I have spoke to 2 other people who also said they got ripped off by American Diesel. I also have talked to other repair shops that have nothing good to say about American Diesel . I wouldnt give them one star but I had to in order to post.

This is a very unprofessional unethical business I had my truck diagnosed at a Ford dealership and because of the price I decided to go with American diesel to get it diagnosed from them and see if I could save some money well it happens that my truck has been there for two and a half weeks now and Im $1500 in parts and labor because The truck does not turn on and cant diagnose the truck and get it to turn on now that I talked to Jr he said they put in a new fuel pump and still not getting enough fuel pressure so it looks like they are guessing of a problem and if its not what they guessed will it dont matter I still have to pay for there mistake of it not being the fuel pump so people do not do business with this company they dont keep you updated they are dishonest because every time I call they say that they are busy and will call back and they never do and when I confronted Junior about that Junior said and lied that he did call back and left a voice message which is a lie so please beware of American Diseal.
