This is the worst agency I have ever work for. They are so rude and they didnt pick up calls

No phone to reach office

DO NOT WORK FOR SMX!!! They are a terrible company to work for. I have been terminated from this job twice now because people in their office cannot do their job. I requested to have my shift changed because of school. I was in there office every day for a week, and felt as if I was annoying them for being in the office so much just to make sure things were taken care of. But they give me no choice because I have absolutely 0% confidence in their abilities. Anyways after checking up on the status of my shift change about 7 times they finally told me the paperwork had been submitted and that I was good to go. Several days later a I got a phone call for a no call/no show. I explained to them that I wasnt on that shift anymore and that someone must have not turned in the paperwork (even though I was in there office 7 times to make sure they did). The woman on the phone apologized and said she would take care of it. The next time I came to work on my new shift, I couldnt get through security cause my badge was cancelled out of the system because I had been terminated a 3rd time because someone STILL had not turned in the paper work for my shift change. Im thoroughly disgusted with their service.

Absolutely the most unprofessional and dishonest management ever! They allow other employees to threaten people with physical harm. They will send you home because they over schedule shifts. You wont know until youve already arrived to work. They are rude and unorganized. My lead would not do his job and deferred everything to his unofficial assistant who has no official authority. He shared confidential information with her. It is such a bad company.

As long as you follow the rules (of Amazon) you can count on a month and 1/2 of pay (11.50/hour-I see where some guy made 12.50....are they discriminating between males and females??????) until youre terminated. I could never make the pick rate (100 items/hour), but followed the rules religiously and hung in there. Christmas peak is the best time to be there. SMX was paying for gas (if your commute is far) and rewarding overtime weeks with gift cards (long lines to stand in to pick up these cards after your shift.) The other pickers are what make the job fun. After peak it was really lonely. Youre on your own with your cart and totes and scanner. If you like to work with other people try to get on as a stower, sorter, or packer. But good luck. Those are the premium jobs. Everyone starts as a picker. This is a great job for college kids during Christmas break. I worked for SMX in 2013 and 2015. they have improved since 2013, but do have a looooooooooooooong way to go to make a list of best companies to work for.

Could not for the life of me find where the building is located. Tried two different addresses.

It Friday and they have not pay me yet for last week. I try to call them and it just ring no one pick up the phone. I guest I have to go there on Monday and ask why my paycheck have not bank deposit in to my account. I might have to call tn labor department on them to. I will never work for them ever. I worked for this company. Started as a warehouse associate. Promoted to a coach. And then promoted ops admin in the office. The problem is team work between offices, on site and recruiting. The communication is horrible. Also, I was fired.... Bc someone who had pull within the company didnt like the fact that I didnt like someone he knew. I was at bna2, the lebanon office TRAINING someone for my position except they said it was for that office. Anyways, it was all internal, no actual investigation. My supervisor didnt even know they were questioning the incident. They did it all,the right way behind my bosses back and at another office within 24 hours.I have been unemployed now since July because no one will hire me because I was fired. Wrongfully fired, at that. I went and filed a formal complaint downtown and with the company but nothing could be done because I was not discriminated against based on the protected freedoms and laws. Really. its now legal to fire someone for personal reasons. They suggested I personally go after the guy, which I wish I wouldve done.Then on top of that, this company cleaned house. The same month I was wrongfully fired, the let both my bosses go because of budget but 3 brand new guys were put n the office and have been there since they fired/relocated us all.But u know who does still have their job??? The guy who had me fired....

They are good at first. Then they forget how to pay you. Dont recommend smx or amazon!

If I rated it on the majority of their individual likeability Id give 3. If I rated it on their politeness Id give 2. If I rated it on their ability to function as a proper company Id give 0. They act like questions are your fault. They dont have their priorities together, and their employees suffer. They sit around and degrade their employees, and dont respect company rules. They need to reevaluate their whole team. Only plus is a few of the male staff are pretty good eye candy.Basically this place could easily be used to justify illegal means of income. Also its awkward when you walk into the office and every staff member looks you up and down, like their weave didnt come from a dominatrix costume set, from party city. Generally they are astoundingly rude, and have the teamwork of a pack of blind hienas chasing Honey BooBoo thru a pit of bacon. This isnt an upset rant, but a close observation. SMX gets a ZERO rating from me.(actually 10 below zero) They lie when they say you will get $16.50 an hour. Its $12.50 an hour. As a bonus -- you will receive $2 additional for every regular hour & $3 additional for every overtime hour worked --- IF --- you dont miss any days. You dont have a choice but to work like a DOG for 6 even 7 days a week at 10 or 11 hours a day. The work of 100% must be met or they will walk you out the door with NO bonus pay. 99.99% is not acceptable to Amazon. The percentage is NOT realistic and cannot be made. Thats just part of the scam. You will work Thanksgiving & Christmas BUT December 26th your rate of pay drops to $9.50 an hour -- losing $7 an hour until after the first week of January because the bonus pay doest apply to that time period.From $16.50 to $9.50 --- YOU DO THE MATH. So youll work 40 hours or LESS at that time losing $280 a week from the pay cut. $280 times 2 weeks is a $560 lose. BECAUSE IF YOU DONT TAKE THE PAY CUT AND DONT WORK THEN NO BONUS! The $2 & $3 additional pay -- will come to roughly $800. (Minus the $560 you lost = $240 take home bonus) And dont forget the TAX MAN takes his cut also!!!!! And you wont get the bonus pay until January 15th IF you still work there. I worked for SMX 2 years (seasonal end of year) & they still tell the same lies every year about earning $16.50 an hour. Dont believe a word of it.You will work like a SLAVE and 8 out of 10 people WILL get walked out the door. Im not allowed to tell you what the work inside Amazon is like but I can say this You will walk more than 12 miles a night. And Amazon doesnt care about your disability when they can say something like this - you can work here with your disability but if you cant perform the work than we dont want you. I personally dont recommend this job to a disabled person because I know for sure --- YOU CANT DO IT!!! And SMX is screwing everyone. If i was getting paid $16.5 an hour with 10 hrs overtime every week for the 10 weeks --- thats better than $12.5 an hr and the promise that SMX never intended to deliver!!! Its a $1500+ BIG DIFFERENCE (IF) you made the bonus date. People look into it before you work for Amazon through SMX & get screwed. DONT SAY I DIDNT WARN YOU!!!

Very rude. When it comes time to go into full time (for amazon) they loose paperwork (Im my case 3 times), and random infractions start to pop up when you start to talk about the incident, I know many people this has happened to. Unprofessional.

Filed an application online showed up for interview and drug test. I was suppose to start on the first of march. Showed up at Amazon, and I had no badge. Checked to see whats up, and they said that my background check didnt come back yet. They rescheduled me for the 15th. Im thinking why not the 8th but oh well. Didnt ask. On the 10th I heard they hired some more people, and on the 11th I called to make sure everything was okay. They had gotten my background check back now everything was good to go. The 12th they call me and say they have no more positions available. On the 11th they put an ad on simply hired for 10 more people. Im not sure what has happened.. Im calling tomorrow to see if they found something in my background check or drug test. It would be strange though cause Ive never even gotten a ticket or been kicked out of a store or anything, and as far as drugs go. Im positive that I am negative. Idk Ill add more to the review as time goes on, and hopefully Ill get a job at amazon. It would be nice to work somewhere where I know a few people.*Edit* I did get a job, and it seems pretty good so far.

They gave me a job on spot.. They called about multiple shifts a week after... Pays extremely well...
