I had an older gaming computer shipped to a buddy in Tennessee and when it got there the liquid cooling system has stopped functioning, the CPU temp was spiking over 90. Joe was able to fix it in record time, the whole thing took 2 days. He ordered and installed a new fan and kept both me and my buddy up to date on his progress. He was also super responsive and pleasant to speak to, and he offered suggestions to solve the problem at various price points. He also went above and beyond, cleaning the 4-years worth of dust off the components and interior! My buddys computer is now working perfectly and weve been having a blast playing New World! Best most honest place to go to have your computer repaired hands down. When you go in there 90% of the time Joe is there. He is 100% transparent and will go the extra mile to save you money. He knows computers down to the 1s and 0s. I dont go anywhere else if I cant fix it myself and the volume He does gives him the experience to tell you what it most likely is before you turn it over to him. To say he is good is an understatement. He is a master of his craft. Hes also locally owned and operated which is a huge plus in my book so his prices are fair. Long story short:My son broke the screen on my business laptop. My fiancé dropped it off at Joes. Great service and turn around. I was impressed. A couple of weeks go by and my new screen went out. I figured it was faulty and brought it back to get another replacement. No big deal. Things happen in life. As a business owner in the community myself, I get it. Weeks go by with no answer. No texts. I finally go down there and complain. Another 2 weeks goes by and its done. Says it fell out of the 30 day verbal warranty and I am responsible for the charges of the same repair a couple of weeks earlier. Lesson learned. Never will use this business again

My daughter goes to MTSU and I live two hours away. They fixed her laptop screen the same day and had the best price around.i cant thank them enough for helping her out!

Joes Computer shop was very helpful on fixing my computer. Very easy to work with an a honest. Business. They have been in business for years.an a real computer shop. I used Compumax in the past will no longer use them. Had problems with them working on my computer in the past..

My laptop had a huge crack in the screen, and I needed to get it repaired. I initially took it to geek squad at Best Buy, but when they told me it would cost upwards of $300 AND a 4-6 week wait. I decided to try Joes and so glad I did! About $200 less expensive, and my computer will be ready within a week. Thanks Joe :)

Computer crashed recently. I took it to Joes and he was able to reload operating system. Works great and the cost was reasonable. He also saved my thousands of pictures still loaded on the hard drive.

Honestly, I am disappointed in the whole process with Joes. I brought my laptop into the store on February 25th. I needed a new hinge on my laptop and explained to the guy who checked me in that my computer is 2 years old and works fine but because of the hinge issue, I cant get the charging port to connect.I received an email on March 3rd (Wednesday) saying it would be $185 and that it could be ready by Monday/Tuesday. I called on Thursday morning to go ahead and do the work. I never heard back from anyone. On March 15 (they now have had my laptop 18 days) I messaged to see what was going on. I was told they were waiting on my approval and when I responded that I did approve over 2 weeks ago...well the guy I spoke with was fired and no one knew. They said it would be done as fast as possible. Ok....things happen.ANOTHER 2 weeks go by and I havent heard ANYTHING! Seriously?! So I call - the part is there but Joe needs to get his bench cleared so he can work on my laptop. I finally pick up my computer on Tuesday, March 30th. It has been over a month - no apologies, no discount for waiting weeks and weeks...nothing.I get into the car and the bottom part of my laptop has cracks in it and the part they did replace is filthy. I went back in and was told well that wasnt the part we ordered. They replaced the keyboard because thats the functioning part of the hinge so that works now. I asked about the bottom and he said it would have been $30-$40 for that part but now Id have to add labor if I wanted that done since it wasnt ordered in the first place. WHAT?!? Nothing was even mentioned about my laptop being filthy and I having to clean it.The customer service sucks. The waiting over a month for what I was told would take a few days is ridiculous. No apologies or even a call to say sorry were behind or do you want to spend an extra $30 for it to actually all work right. Now as I continue to type, all the buttons on the keyboard squeak. NEVER AGAIN!

Extremely poor experience, the only good thing about the place was a nice man who worked there I believe named louis. Brought my macbook in 1/20/2021 for diagnosis and possible fix,( it was stuck in a startup loop and I suspected there might be something wrong with the hardrive) didnt hear from anyone for two weeks and decided to call to check up, was put on hold for 15 minutes and when I hung up and tried to call back nobody picked up, it was almost their closing time so I decided they were probably busy, tried to call the next day with the exact same response, phone answered asked who we were told to give them a second put on hold for over 10 minutes never spoken to, had another person call throughout the day and they had the same thing happen. I decided to go in person on my next off day, while we were there they told us that they had to order a part but could not tell us how long it would be for it to come in or for them to fix it, there was a gentleman there who told us he had been coming to joe for years and he praised him highly, shockingly we then overheard joe heavily try and oversell this man on a new hard drive that was completely unnecessary to the point where even the employee was looking at him funny, trying to point out why he wouldnt onldy for joe to look at him and him stop talkin.They promised me they would give me a call as soon as the ribbon was in and I decided to wait and see, another two weeks flew by with both me and another person calling trying to get someone to talk to us and tell us what was going on always being put on hold and then nobody would answer the phone when we tried to call again.2/22/2021 I decided a month had passed and surely they would have some answers, I went up there, first they couldnt find my computer and had to call joe, he told Louis he had fixed it but when Louis started it up nothing had changed. he didnt have any answers for me and said joe would and that he would callme as soon as he came in. hours passed and we decide to call and see if he had come in store... surprisingly we were out on hold and we just decided to go back and get it even if he wasnt there, we get there and you can hear joe in the back behind the wall yelling at Louis and when Louis tells him that we were here cause joe needed to tell us what was wrong he said in an extremely nasty way that she can wait itll probably be 15... make it 20 actually tell her it will be an hour and told him to put my ticket back to the side and since I could hear him I replied Back that I just wanted to take it back right then because they had it for a month and I need it fixed. he yelled at me telling me that I can wait then because he needs to put it back together. I then look into the little hole they had and saw my computer sitting there completely intact. pointed to it and said thats the one, he yelled again telling me he spent all this money on parts and he needed to take them out ( these parts werent even worth $40) I was upset at this point and yelled back that he never told me or had permission to put parts in it, he told louis he couldnt deal with this and walked out to the very back telling him to give it to me. cant stress how nice Louis is but joe is an extremely nasty man. I lost my $40 deposit of course. I needed my laptop because I am an online college student I paid $40 for them to have my computer for a whole month, my semester ends in a week and half I had to do this entire semester on my phone, I Regret ever leaving it there. 2/22/2021 took it to a different shop (on middle tn blvd and broad st) and the man told us hed have a diognosis by 24 hours...we didnt have to pay up front, they call you to tell you whats going on, what the problem is and to ask if its okay for them to try and fix it before they do, seriously one of the biggest mistakes of my life was to go to Joes...

Spoke with a gentleman and he gave me round about prices like I asked. He was SUPER helpful as well by telling me a little hack I could use for my broken screen untill I get the laptop into the tepair shop. I would HIGHLY recommend to any and everyone.

We have been going to Joes computer shop for over 10 years. We’re in the shop at lease once a month since we have a daughter with autism that likes to “tinker” with her 2 lap tops. I was trying to find a oem charger for my daughters laptop they new exactly what one and sold me an extra one at a good price.

Whenever we gave themMy Pc to hook up the wires they couldn’t do that properly. It took them 18 days to actually finish it, and when we took it home and plug it up it wouldn’t start. So now we have to take it back to them so they can fix it.

They built a desktop for me thats better than any I could have purchased from any retail store or ordered from any major manufacturer. Ive had it for almost a year now and it still runs and boots just as fast as the day I purchased it. Their customer service was great. They had the build done within a week of order and I have since purchased a desktop for my wifes office that is just as good. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a new computer or servicing of your existing computer.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR COMPUTER HERE JOE IS A THIEF. I toke my daughters 1500 Samsung computer to him to diagnose he told me it was not worth fixing and said he would retrieve the data from the hard drive. He did not and he does not have my computer and does not know where it is. He says he retrieved the data but cannot find it. I THINK HE FIXED AND SOLD THE COMPUTER.

Great service, very reasonable prices, honest. An amateur expert friend offered to custom build a computer for me, so I could get high end performance where it was important to me without paying for a lot of stuff that I do not need. I bought the components, he put it together (about half-way) and could not get any further, so I had a pretty expensive box of computer parts. I took the box of parts to someone else who thought I might have a bad motherboard or CPU. He recommended Joes to check it out. I took my box of parts to Joes, expecting to need to replace something, which would mean buying the replacement, because I was way past the time for returns.Joes got back to me the same day and explained that the problem was with the assembly. They put it together for me (also the same day). It works great, and I got a good bit of useful free tips just in the conversation. Joes had an opportunity sell me something I did not need by saying one of my components was defective, or that I really needed something additional to make it all work. I really appreciate the quick service and its great to know there is a resource I can trust in the future.

I have recently got into PC Gaming a few months ago, and I have bought a custom built computer from a buddy of mine. I brought it home and as I was setting it up a few minutes later it automatically shut down on me. I messaged the guy back to tell him what the problem was. He said it could be a misplaced ram or a power supply unit problem. I went to go purchase a higher power power supply and new ram for the computer.After installing both the new ram and psu, the computer worked for about 3 days before it automatically shut down again. I complained that the guy sold me a faulty computer and that he should come down to my place and look at it and diagnose it for me. He suggested that I should take it to one of his computer tec buddies at iGeek on Church Street. Healso said that his buddy would not charge me at all for diagnosing it if i mentioned his name.I took it to him and he said that there was a problem with the software and he downloaded a brand new windows 10 and that it did not shut off not even once when he was working on it. The next day, after the diagnostic, I ended up being charged $50 anyways after I mentioned that his friend was the one that sold the computer to me. When I got it home literally 20 minutes of turning it on it completely turned off on me AGAIN!At this point all hope was lost. I looked up google and decided to try Joes Computer Shop. After reading all of the positive reviews I wanted to take another chance at fixing this problem of mine. I brought it in and i told them what had happen with my PC. Long story short and 1 week of diagnosing they have found the problem! There was a little dent in the heatsink which caused the cpu to overheat almost instantly!Joe was the one who worked on my computer and he ordered me a new heatsink and added another fan to my computer tower. The service did take a while but at this point I didnt care how long it took as long as I had my PC fixed. He charged me a reasonable price which was fair for the both of us! Joe was very knowledgeable on his work. I wanted to wait a week after retrieving my PC to see if everything worked out fine and it did! I would highly recommend coming here for all of your computer tech needs!

I brought my custom built pc in for diagnostics (I really just needed to know if the motherboard was the problem). Half way through the diagnosis the owner and his wife began discussing what they were going to have for lunch and took ten minutes to make up their mind on what to eat. Once they ordered their food over the phone other customers began coming in and the owner repeatedly stop working on my system while he waited on them. After 50 minutes I was charged $35 and told that the motherboard was probably not the problem.

Great service. Computer couldnt be repaired but most files were surprising saved and i was very happy.

Organized messily. Left PC in for one night and came back dusty. Parts I organized to be looked after were messed up, I even had to ask for the main installation book back. One part wasnt even returned and denied that it was even left with them after photo evidence. I would not go back again.

PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE TAKING YOUR COMPUTER INTO THIS SHOP!I can honestly say that this shop may have given me the worst customer service I have ever seen or heard of, frankly. I dropped my computer off around three weeks ago for what should have been a simple diagnosis, and for three whole weeks they did not get in contact with me. After calling me, they seemed shocked that Id be wondering, telling me the diagnosis has been done for weeks, and then PROCEEDING to lie to me saying they tried to get in contact whereas I have physical proof that they did not in any way, shape, or form. After this phone call, they promised me a quote for the diagnosis on Tuesday of this eeek by noon. Oh wow, its Friday! Still waiting on that call! PLEASE do yourself a favor, never bring your computer here and save yourself from going through what I went through. The second I am back in town, Im going to grab the computer and take it elsewhere. TL;DR Serious disappointment, bottom tier service, save yourself the heartache.

I had a cracked screen on my laptop i called they gave me a quote and they ordered the screen and they had it fixed the next day within a hour of me dropping it off. If i have any other computer trouble i will for sure be back.

Totally incompetent! I took a hard drive in to have it copied to an external hard drive. It took them 6 weeks to complete work. Turns out they lost my old hard drive, gave me someone elses hard drive and left my external HD blank. The hard drive they lost had family photos and music including some from our daughter that died of cancer at age 26. Stay away from this place!!

This review is a little bit long overdue, but I just want to start off by saying this is a GREAT place to take your computer. I had issues with my pc so I took it to another store and after having a bad experience with them, I decided to go try out Joes. As soon as I walked in, I got greeted and the staff were very friendly. Joe and his wife are awesome at what they do. I left my pc early in the afternoon and by the same day before they closed they already had my pc diagnosed . I got pc back the same day and fixed my issue. These people and shop are really amazing and deserve all the business possible. Thanks for all your help joe.

I had a custom built computer that had held up extremely well for five years or more, but one day it suddenly went to a blank screen when I cut it on. It was like there was no computer hooked up to the monitor. I know a bit about computer, and I helped put this one together when it was built. So I started trying everything I could think of, and then I went to searching the internet on my labtop looking for anything I may not have thought of. I spent two or three weeks working on it myself and could not make any progress, but I was convinced it was a bad video card and couldnt figure out why the brand new one I bought wouldnt work. I finally took it into to Joes and even though he was extremely busy he found time to work on it that day. I spent almost five hours watching and helping when I could, but he fixed it when I honestly think I would never have gotten it. The reason it took so long was most likely my own fault as well. When I first brought it in the second thing he wanted to do was check the power supply, but since I thought I knew something I assured him that the power supply was most likely fine. I told him this because it had just been replaced a few months before, and so we spent hours going through other tests. When it was starting to look like we may not get it fixed he decided to go ahead and check the power supply anyway. It turned out that there wasnt just one problem, but instead there were two issues that were both serious alone. When he put his tester power supply on and changed the ram to a different slot than I had it in the computer booted right up and worked perfectly. I would never have found both of those on my own and I am skeptical that another computer repair place would have done anywhere near as good a job. I know they would not have been as patient with me and explained as much as Joe did, so that not only was my computer fixed but I understood what he did to fix it and why it wasnt working to begin with. Joes Computer Shop is also willing to work with you on the price more than any other shop I have seen, and that was a huge help to me. Personally I will not be taking my computer to any other repair shop in murfreesboro as long as Joes Computer Shop is open for business. If you ever need to find the place it is across the road from OCharleys on Memorial road, in the same parking lot as The Grumpy Book Peddler. Once again this place has my highest recommendations, I dont believe you will find a nicer or more competent couple of people to help with any computer issue than Joe and his wife at Joes Computer Shop.
