When John arrived to give me an estimate, I (jokingly) told him that he had too many great reviews online to fabricate them all. He said it was because he’s on every job from start to finish, gets the job done right, and leaves the site spotless. All true. John and Kyle fulfilled all my expectations and backed up their positive Google reviews (not sure if they have any negative reviews). Great communication, before and during, on time, organized, professional, knowledgeable. They were here for about 5 hours, took down some small trees and a lot of branches, and cleaned up thoroughly. My backyard looks great. Highly recommend.

Extremely Happy with the service John and Kyle delivered at my home in Clifton. I had a cluster of very tall mulberry trees and a row of razor sharp sticker bushes removed. John also grinded five stumps. They really went out of there way to clean up the area and to protect my existing grass. His equipment is top-notch. You would not even know they set up the truck on my lawn. Great service will use them again...before, during and after photos.

Z Tree and their crane saved me during this last storm. He worked with Arbor Ace to get my emergency tree removal done before the storm hit again with wind, hail, and rain. I had a tree thar was ready to cave down and would have done so much more damage than was already done.Z tree and crew worked HOURS in the pouring rain to make sure that the trees that could destroy my home were removed safely.They went above and beyond, and even introduced and talked to all my surrounding neighbors and next door neighbor to make sure everyone was safe and property was safe.He had a huge crane to fit into my small property and carefully covered my driveway to make sure it was not damaged.Z tree did extra work and put so much labor into making sure this emergency situation ran smoothly. They were there within an hour of me calling. We had multiple large trees in a difficult location that needed to be removed and he had the right equipment and skills to safely get it done. I independently had another tree expert who confirmed what Z Tree recommended be removed was necessary. While on site John identified another large tree (100+ feet) that posed a risk to our house and he recommended we remove that as well. While not in the original plan we are glad we ultimately listened to him as the tree was rotten throughout the inside. I had some small jobs: two stumps to be removed and pruning/crown thinning on one small tree. I called several local (and not so local) tree companies and couldnt even get anyone to come out for an estimate after multiple calls. John came out and gave me an estimate right away. These guys are amazing! John came out on an emergency call this past Saturday. Our beautiful but OLD oak tree that shaded our entire backyard as well as reached over 4 neighbors backyards decided to split in half as a result of the recent windy days we had. Used Z-Tree Specialist for removal of a rather large Maple tree in my front yard, amazing to see these men performing their job, as well as removal of a large Magnolia tree from the rear yard. The stump removal was amazing to watch and the workers were quick and extremely knowledgeable in what they were doing. Would recommend this tree specialist.

Z Tree Service was at my neighbors house to cut two huge trees down from their backyard. The day prior to the project, they knocked on our door and warned us what was going to happen and let us know where we should park, so that our cars don’t get damaged. They did a great job in taking the trees down without anything falling on our side of the street. If we ever need our trees taken down, we will absolutely be using their services! Z Tree is the best!

Had a great experience with Z Tree Experts. I called them up for an estimate and John was very professional and was able to fit us in to remove our tree the following week. We had a small tree in our backyard that had to go. The roots were starting to disturb the pvc pipes below the ground where our electrical was run. They finished so quickly and cleaned up everything beautifully. I would highly recommend.

In Christmas morning at 2am a massive tree fell on my house and collided with the room where my wife and 4 month old where sleeping. I got them out the house and started calling emergency places. Arbor and Z tree where the only place to answer on the holiday. They were up front an honest about everything that they had to get done and had someone come out on Christmas Day ( Z Tree Experts his brothers company ARBOR and they do work together in emergency situations). They gave me a run down of what they had to do and where at my house the following day . They brought excellent equipment for the job, which had to fit in a tight area with multiple wires to work around and only access was from the front of house. Not to forget that the tree was over 3 Floors high and branches where at least 15 feet long. They completed the job in the cold after the storm. The team did everything in a safe and profession manner hard hats, harness all machinery was spot on for the job and was used in a very safe manner. The complete staff was friendly and professional they felt like some old friends rather then people coming to fix my emergency disaster. They cleaned up everything way beyond what they had to and did not cause anymore damage. One of the biggest things was that they where upfront about everything and asked before the did anything to change the landscape even if it had to be done they always asked first. This is my first major disaster as a first time home owner and they made the situation smooth.

Z Tree Experts did a great job removing an extremely old and tall tree (which was rotting inside). They did the job promptly and left the area completely well manicured. Most amazing was that you could not even tell a tree had been there. I had a similarly-sized tree removed a couple of years ago by a different company and I am still finding huge chunks of wood in the area where the tree was located.I would also note that I mostly arranged everything by text message, and then got the estimate by email, which I could digitally sign, all of which made this super convenient.I would highly recommend Z Tree Experts.

I could not have asked for better service and precision from a tree removal company. After a wicked storm hit, a large branch from an old tree crashed onto my roof. I immediately called ZTree Experts and they showed up to assess the damage within 2 hours of the storm passing.NJ was hit pretty horribly, and yet the team still made there way to remove the branch within the week. They came back the following week to remove the entire tree, which was far back on the property behind 2 other large trees. The precision which the ZTree team worked was incredible. They were able to efficiently and effectively remove an entire giant tree, and weave it through the spaces between other trees and houses. There was no damage to ANYTHING - including the lawn, which they kindly protected by placing wood boards along a path so the giant tree-removing truck could travel the law without causing damage.Their services are not cheap, but you get what you pay for. And in this case, I paid for excellent, efficient, precise work - and they even cleaned up after themselves! ZTree is worth every penny! Thank you ZTree!!

I had a giant ancient Maple that was getting out of hand. Branches without purpose, some rotting which I, as a layman, couldnt see. I called Z Tree Expercts because I saw them take down a difficult tree a few doors down from me. John did a great job sculpting the overgrown tree. He also advised taking too much off which Im glad he did, because the tree looks perfect. He did all the climbing and cutting himself. Id recommend you get his proposal for any tree work you need.

Called Z Tree Experts to take down a long big hanging tree leaning on the side of a double detached garage about to fall on the roof and was held by another branch plus trimming some other big trees over a semi long driveway in Nutley. John, the owner with his assistant miraculously saved the garage, trimmed all other trees as if it was his own house and thoroughly cleaned the entire area. Because of their good work my both sides neighbors hired them to do some work for them.

These guys are incredible - friendly, take pride in their work, experts at what they do and the ultimate pros. About a month ago I had a huge tree fall in my side yard and onto the sidewalk late at night. Googled and found John. Called him expecting to schedule for next day - he came within 30 minutes to assess the damage and had his army of professionals at my house within the hour. John reassured me that they had everything covered so that I could take care of assessing the other damage. They methodically removed everything (it was a lot) and went above and beyond - got on my roof to remove debris and even pointed out where I should show the insurance company for the repairs. The cleaned up after themselves incredibly and my yard looked better than it did before. It was night time and raining and none of that deterred them. Within a few hours they were done. John let me work through the insurance process for payment and offered to assist where he could. I highly recommend John and his team.

Can’t say enough good things about Z Tree. They removed 4 trees and did a substantial amount of branch cutting/trimming over the course of 2 days. Any normal human would have done this over the course of 3 days and quit at 5pm, but they worked hard, stayed late, and not only got the job done, but got the job done in a way that significantly exceeded my expectations. They left my yard and my neighbor’s yard spotless such that even my neighbors commented that they were impressed. If you’re taking down a tree, I highly recommend stump grinding. It’s as if the tree was never there, and instead we’re left with a fresh plot of dirt for new plantings. Professional, safe, highly responsive, and excellent client service. Fitting his remote controlled crane past my house into the driveway was a very tough job, and he did so without damaging a thing. My eighty year old mother’s backyard was like a jungle, and she also had a dead tree that needed to come down. I called Z Tree Experts solely based on their good reviews. John came for the consultation, he was extremely friendly, and his quote was surprisingly fair.Last year we had a tree fall down during a storm. It was removed by a different company. The job was done while we weren’t home, even though I asked them to let me know when they were coming. They were very expensive, the job was poorly done, and to add insult to injury, they left the yard a mess. So I was dreading having to deal with another tree company.I shouldn’t have worried. Z Trees came when they said they were going to come. They did what they said they were going to do. No, did MORE than they said they were going to do. I thought they were just going to cut down all the overgrowth and remove the dead tree. They did all that, but they also gave the remaining trees and shrubs a nice shape! And they made my mom’s backyard look, dare I say, pretty. AND THEY LEFT THE YARD CLEAN. Couldn’t ask for anything more. Wouldn’t hesitate to have them back. JOB WELL DONE!

John came to assess the trees on the same day that we called him and was able to give a reasonable quote. They were able to remove the tree, grind the stump and grade the land as if the tree was never even there, plus prune the other trees in the backyard all in 1 day! John and his crew do great work and are a pleasure to work with.On July 18th at 6:30pm a very large oak tree branch, with many attached branches, fell on the roof of our 3 family property and John was the only person who picked up the phone the first time reaching out to him. He and Kyle, a member of his team, were literally at the gas station fueling up to head out of town, but they agreed to meet me at the property to evaluate the situation and determine the urgency. The situation was urgent and John and Kyle stayed with us at our property that evening for almost 2 hours until he found a crane operator that would come the following morning at sunrise to work with him to remove the limb. Needless to say he cancelled his plans to go out of town until after the job was done. He, Kyle, Pat and the crane operator were at the house at 5:30/6:00am and worked all morning to safely remove the huge limb and attached branches from off, and out of, the roof. It had to be taken down in pieces and John successfully removed it without creating any further damage to the roof/house. The guys chipped up all the branches and cleaned up the property to where you couldnt tell anything had happened at all.John, Kyle and Pat were great to work with and all have good attitudes and are polite with good work ethics. John is definitely customer service focused, returned my calls and texts (even on weekend while out of tow) very promptly. When I got upset because the roofers didnt get over to put on the tarp after two days of this happening and rain was expected, John told us he would come back with his bucket truck and get on the roof to put a tarp on it. I let him know the roofers were coming so he didnt need to make the trip but he still came by the house to check in on us and make sure it was taken care of.

Amazing service! John came out to our home on a Sunday afternoon after my husband and I discovered a large portion of a tree had fallen onto our roof and shed. With thunderstorms in the forecast for most of the week John and his team were there the very next morning to beat the weather. John. Was the only guy who was up for the challenge of removing a monstrous cherry stump off a 4 wall. I was in a pinch and he was able to make it there the same day. They spread everything out nicely and left the area presentable. I have no complaints with his service. Thanks again John !!!

John and his guys were amazing. They did an amazing job and they were very honest about everything. My neighbor and I had tress and bushes cut down and they were very neat with everything. I highly recommend them to do any work.

I had to have two trees removed and a couple others trimmed. The amount of time and care Z Tree Experts took was amazing. From protecting everything on my property to the actual tree removal and clean up, right down to spraying off my outdoor furniture was much more than I expected. John is the best. My tree is extremely large and has very limited access to it. I have had other tree guys basically run away from doing any kind of work with it. John came over looked at it and came up with a plan. He had to work under very difficult circumstances and was professional and courteous the entire time. He held true to his pricing ( even though it became more involved). Highly recommend

Hired them to remove multiple trees from my front yard. He came out the next day to give an estimate, which I thought was fair. He also offered to, for free, clear out the gutters and perform other small tasks around the house.He came the following day after giving the quote to remove the trees at the time he said he would, and finished quickly in 2 hours. Filled in the holes and did a great job removing the whole tree and the stump.

F you have a tree issue, CALL THESE FOLKS!!! John and his crew are amazing: extremely efficient, highly professional, amazingly courteous, and totally committed to the job. John himself is like some sort of timberland Superhero. The guy answers the phone, comes early, stays late, supervises all aspects of the job personally, and is a genius at problem solving. He and his crew make your problem their problem, and they dont rest until the problem is solved. Trust me, Z Tree Experts is in a league of its own. We just dealt with what could have been a nightmare situation with a tree falling in our backyard (100 year old tree, no access for the crane, torrential rain, etc.), but John and his guys vowed to get in there and make things right, and somehow they did. Johns as competent as he is nice, which is saying something. Dont waste your time with any other tree service. For price, quality, and commitment, they are in a league of their own!

I contacted Z Tree Experts after reaching out to numerous companies for quotes for a standard tree removal in my backyard. It quickly became obvious that they weren’t called Z Tree “Experts” for no reason.After meeting with John, he offered me a professional opinion to move in a direction with tree removal that I hadn’t even considered, and ideally would save me money in the long run. I initially only planned on removing one tree but John educated me about the health of a 2nd tree in my yard that would have to be removed in the near future. Ideally – he could have removed one tree and came back (because I would have hired him again) and it would have cost me nearly double at that time. This to me, shows that Z Tree Experts are looking out for the best interest of their Customers, not just taking advantage to gain a tree removal job.Z Tree Experts pricing was highly competitive. The knowledge and advice that John offered about what to with the trees in my yard, really reassured me that I was choosing the right company. They scheduled the removal and arrived within a timely fashion, removed the trees, were very respectful to the neighborhood while doing so, cleaned the yard up in a way that you wouldn’t even realize trees were removed, and left the premises exactly as found (minus 2 trees.) I wasn’t home at the time the job was completed and John made it a priority to make sure he stopped back within 24 hours go over exactly the job as completed and make sure I was a satisfied Customer, again proving that not only does he offer a great tree removal service, he offers great Customer Service as well. Professional, timely and neat. We hired John to remove a few large trees on our property as well as remove some brush and overgrown plants in our backyard. John was honest about his short and long term recommendations and never pushed for an up-sell. They did an incredible job removing the trees, grinding the stumps and cleaning up after the job was done on each of the 3 days. They placed plywood on our grass to protect the lawn and John even handled some of the permit issues with local township. Would definitely hire again. Great communication and customer service!
