About 4 months ago, I brought in a Dell Latitude 5500 for repair because of a screen that wouldnt display anything. I handed them the computer, told them what was wrong, and paid them for the diagnostic. I was told the computer would be fine in about two weeks. Two weeks pass, and no word. About a month later, they call back, and turns out the screen wasnt the problem. It was the motherboard. They offered to replace it, and I accepted. Nearly three months later, until about a week ago, the computer was finally ready. I came home, tentatively booted up the machine, and was delighted to find that the store had swapped an i7 board into an i5 chasses. But it was working. For a whole 10 minutes. Currently the computer is back at the same store for the same problem, and recieving an identical fix as the last. Would not recommend to anyone, ever. Horribly inconsistent, and terrible service. Unenthusiastic about their work, and this carries over into the quality of their work. Unfortunately theres no option for 0 stars, but I would rate that if I could.

I called and asked if they could change hard drives on a new PC I bought. I didnt need a data transfer or anything -- just to have them remove the old one and put in the new one I bought. They wanted $140... Outrageously overpriced

I went to these guys in a crutch and a rush to get my macbook pro repaired as FastAF. They called within an hour with a diagnosis and delivered the very next day! No bs no excuses just Results!

Great people who do not fail to deliver! Over the last few years I brought them 1/2 dozen problem computers I wanted to retrieve stuff from or rehab and they always did it within a couple of days and very accurately to their estimate. What more to ask?

These guys are the best. Have been dealing with Catcom for almost 15 years and have always left happy. The owner Cat is great and very knowledable. He offers fair and fast diagnostics and can get the job done at a fair price. Have always felt like the people working here advise the customer on whats best for them, not pushing the customer to spend a fortune. If a computer isnt worth fixing they will be honest about it. Give this place a try and you wont be disappointed.

After going to the Apple Store and checking online sites and being told a power chord I need is unavailable, one call to these guys and my problem was solved. They knew what the others didn’t and I drove to their shop and gotthe new replacement chord. Also they werevery friendly and helpful.I highly recommend them.

I went to Radio Shack and Staples looking for help. No luck. I was on my way home when by chance I spotted Catcoms store front. Success! The young man who helped me was far more knowledgeable and willing to help me than the so-called techies at Radio Shack and Staples. He knew that the part I needed for my Asus laptop was comparable to a Toshiba part. A few minutes later, i was in my car heading home with the part I needed. Problem solved. Reasonable price. Great customer service.This experience is another reason why I prefer doing business with locally owned small businesses, instead of chain stores.I have another laptop that needs servicing. Im going to use their Yelp discount offer and have Catcom fix that laptop as well.

Based on other reviews, I called them ahead of time to explain what was wrong with my computer, and confirm that they had the tools to either get the system to post or triage which part was dead. I was assured they could do this both over the phone and again at the register.A week later their comprehensive diagnostics had determined the problem was either the motherboard, or the CPU, or the memory, or the cables connecting the parts (or some combination of those things), and they wanted me to authorize buying a new motherboard and installing it. I asked them if they had tried swapping out any of those parts to see if they could triage the issue to a specific part; they hadnt, and werent going to.I paid them their $25 and got my system back, still broken. If you want a part installed, or your OS reinstalled, or most changes you can probably figure out by watching YouTube videos, these guys can help you. With complex issues, look elsewhere.
