Very sanitary! Professional phlebotomist professional receptionist. They greet people with kindness. Very clean environment I loved my experience here!! The best lab Corp Iβve been to so far! Keep up the good work!! ππ½β€οΈ
I registered at the check in station. You are asked to leave a number where they will text you when it is your turn. After an hour and thirty minutes I enter the location and ask the receptionist (who by the way couldnβt be so bothered to look up) how much longer will the wait be. She replies, Iβve called you several times maybe if you stay inside youβll be called. Are you kidding me? Why should I sit inside during Covid with unmasked patrons? Especially, when I was provided the option to wait within my car. Very disappointed at the service. Needless to say I was never called my phone was in my hand.
They lost my test result. I have contacted customer service rep and they said they are going to investigate and keep me posted. No updates from them. I would give them zero star if I could.
What an awful experience! Stay away from LabCorp in Montclair, NJ!First, I will begin with the filthiness! it doesnt take a Health professional to clearly see all the cleaning and safety violations (pictures attached for reference). When it was finally my turn, before I sat on the chair I noticed no one disinfected it, the room divided by a curtain had just been used by another guest, no one cleaned the area. Above the chair, there was a sign that read This Area is Disinfected After Each Guest, didnt happen. I asked the man who was going to draw my blood if there was anything I can use to disinfect, he did not even look at me and pointed at a disinfecting spray bottle. Even worse, the bucket where used syringes are discarded was open and overflowing and exposed.Secondly, they were highly understaffed, three staff members in total. I waited 1 hour and 10 mins for blood work that was requested by my doctor to be done the same day (urgent request) some walk ins were seen before others, there was no order. The phone rang non-stop and no one was available to answer. One of the staff members was taking her frustrations out on all guests, she verbally stated that they were currently all over the place due to lack of help and was treating guests very poorly.Lastly, I was told my results would be available in approximately 4 hours, it has now been 6 hours and no results available, also no one to reach since they close at 3pm. The results are crucial for my doctor to determine how quickly we can perform my necessary medical procedure.
I made my appointment online, once I arrived I was asked if I had already checked in? I stated yes. I was called right away. The staff was friendly and helpful. The phlebotomist was an expert. I didnt even feel the needle. My appointment took all of fifteen minutes.Thank you for being amazing especially during our trying time.
The staff multitask in a very efficient and friendly way. I want to especially thank Bianca for her pleasant professionalism.
Scheduled an appointment for labwork online, and was able to get one of two remaining slots. When I arrived for the appointment, the door was locked and note on the door just said temporarily closed with no explanation. I watched tons of other people walk up to the building and go through the same experience... including mothers with babies and elderly couples. How can you close a medical office and not even bother to notify anyone that had an appointment?? I wasted money on cab fare going to and from a non-existent appointment. Truly unacceptable.
I had no issues. Made an appointment online, checked in from the parking lot via the link provided. Received a text within 5 minutes of check in that I could move to the waiting area. Was seen within 5 minutes of being called in. The phlebotomist was gentle, never had blood drawn before and barely felt anything. Everything looked clean. Overall very seamless experience.
Fastest bloodwork I have ever done. I went here twice in the past month and I was in and out in under 10 minutes even with other patients in the lobby. Everyone is very friendly and super professional. Do not hesitate to go here!
Some of the phlebotomists are not friendly but most are efficient. The office personnel is the same. The wait here is not too long for walk-ins. Theres ample parking at ground level and up above in tiers. The bathroom is not clean. Wiping up a few drops of liquid off the floor if you have to submit a specimen revealed a filthy floor. Toilet paper out. It is like that every time I go in. Update Sept 20, 2018. You now have to scan your ID and insurance card in yourself. There are 3 kiosks now in the waiting room. Ive done a lot of bloodwork with no issues, but today the young woman who drew the blood caused me intense pain with both the needle going in and pulling it out. There is a quiet man there many times in the mornings who has a pain-free technique who I would prefer to use in the future, but its impossible to select your favorite phlebotomist each time. The pain makes you dread going there again in the future. The seats and arms of the chairs are filthy in the blood draw rooms and look like they are never washed. There are tiny splatters of blood on the side of the seats. Despite signing yourself in, the wait to get your paperwork ready with a new worker takes forever. Overall an unpleasant experience. Update: you can request a phlebotomist of your choice. Bathroom updated. Place still lacking a good daily scrubdown.
They are great & Fast π.
They lost my sample and refuse to call me to discuss. It was a kidney stone sample that my doctor wanted analyzed. They told me to come in a provide another sample. They are not a very professional organization, and I will not go back to this place
If I could give less than 1 star I would. First, customer service there is beyond horrible and almost nonexistent. They are extremely rude and not helpful what so ever. My husband got a new job and has been waiting PAST TWO weeks for the drug test results. The company he was hired for has called, as well as we have and as I understand that COVID is going on so it delays things, as well as I understand that the patient themselves cannot acquire their own results.. IT makes no sense to me that a drug test will take anything even past 1 week (going past week 3 waiting for results now). If the fact is that the patient cannot be told their results then they should have representatives with better customer service to either give them a better answer than The company has to call for results when the company has been trying to get the results for weeks now. At least the people that work in this MontClair location should transfer us to someone that is ACTUALLY knowledgeable or that can let us know if its due to delays/give an eta, if there is a problem or whatever the actual case may be. I find it honestly ridiculous not only the long wait (since obviously the drug test is needed to start the actual job) but more at the rudeness and not so helpful people in your department. They literally do not even hear you out, they just repeat the same thing. It is no wonder why this location only has 3 stars.
Surprise of the bad reviews I went yesterday for the first time with my daughter 1/21/2021... I was in and out not even 10 min... friendly staff.. bathroom was super SUPER CLEAN including where they took my blood... I will be going there for now on... thank you
I took my 5 year old Son and it was the worst experience ever. We had an older guy that did the procedure of taking blood and the guy was not gentle at all. He had to do it in each arm because the guy was not trying to work with us not my son. I Would never go to this place again and I do not recommend this place for kids.
Love this place, friendly, caring and professional. My family and I have been coming to this location for over 15 yrs. Fast service and a available parking on site
I am surprised to see such bad reviews. I went there today and had such a pleasant experience. The staff was friendly, accommodating and had me in and out in minutes. Also ample parking off the street so that was a bonus.
Bianca and the other staff are always quick, friendly and get you out of there fast!!
I would rate it a zero if that was an option! The staff are horrible and are too busy laughing with each other to pay attention to us. At least someone actually called our name and registered us. Then we were waiting in line to get blood drawn. The lady right behind us sat down in one of the stalls and waited there. The technician went to her stall next and said to everyone else in line that if youβre not in a stall, you wonβt be called. Then one of the front desk ladies came and said the same thing to us. Even the lady who was sitting in the stall wasnβt nice enough to give up her spot to us because we were first and instead repeated what the technician and the front desk lady said. Nobody ever told us when we came and we had to wait even more longer. While the technician was working with the other patient, they were chatting and he said about us βdifficult patients.β When the technician finally came to us, he used a think needle to draw the blood, and my mom even asked him if he could use the butterfly one (itβs a thinner one), and he just said βhis vein is fineβ and still used the thick one. Iβm warning you, donβt come to this place, even if itβs the closest one to you!
Today Saturday 17, 2020, I went to the Montclair Labcorp office at Essex county. I checked in at 10:00 a.m, I was giving the instructions as per covid 19 guidelines. I waited until 10:30 a.m. No one reached out to us. I went in again and was told by a technician to wait for a phone call, which I did.At 11:00 a.m., we noticed that the lights were turned off, and the doors closed. Three technicians walked out of the office with their personal belongings and locked the front door. Therefore, I am unsure of how many people were left unattended, beside me, waiting in their cars.I was with my husband and my child, who was supposed to get tested. He was very anxious about the testing. We are very upset about what happened. I am requesting an investigation of this situation. Hopefully, this does not happen again.I know LabCorp can do better. There are hundreds of people unemployed today and eager to work.
Called to schedule an appointment - they said to walk-in and it would be like 10 minutes. Sure enough, I was in and out in 15 minutes. Very fast, easy and convenient check-in.
Been here before and it was fine however this time both techs had an issue with my request they wash their hands before putting on their gloves. The Tech went back and forth with me about it. I dont understand why I have to ask a health professionals to wash their hands.
Love this place great vibes, great people all the staff from front desk to draw room was great.. The girls that entered in the front ran in the back just to help draw . The team work and love put into their patient I felt was great.. will definitely come back..
I came around 8:30 and was in and out in under 10 minutes. Staff was friendly. Edgar drew my blood and he was excellent! I didnβt feel anything and no bruising afterwards.
Showed up right at 7am when they opened and was home by 7:15. Easy and efficient self-serve computer check in. Fast service. The technician also found my vein so easily for the blood draw, which is something most hospitals have a problem with. Would definitely go back!
Great service in and out. Sabrina was helpful, kind and quick. I will definitely go back. The staff there are great. No appointment needed
Nice, quick and easy. Made appointment online--easy; had to reschedule, and just did it online--easy. Showed up 4 minutes ahead of my appointment. You check yourself in with a kiosk (they have 3) just by scanning your drivers license; took 10 seconds--quick. The screen told me I would have a 4 minute wait. 4 minutes later, I was called back. Had nice 5 minute discussion with the admitting person and then went to procedure. Less than 30 second delay, I was being worked on and was out 5 minutes later. Note that when I commented to the staff that this place was poorly reviewed, I was told there was a total management/staff shakeup to solve those prior issues. AFAIAC, those issues are resolved.
Had a bad first experience with a blood test at another facility. Knowing Iβm terrified of needles, Bianca was efficient and made the experience way less scary than I thought it would be. Came on a Monday morning and was out in 15 minutes. Quick, easy, and Bianca is a boss!
I went on a Saturday morning around 745am with no appointment and was done by 815am. The staff were all nice and it moved very quickly. Ive had a lot of blood drawn over the last several years in a search for answers to unexplained illness, so Ive been to quite a lot of labs. Based on my experience, I am not sure why there are so many bad reviews. Compared to many others, this place is a good place to go get your routine bloodwork.
Not sure why there are so many bad reviewsI came early like around 8am the place was empty, I self checked in and they call me right way. The gentleman who took my blood did direct needle and Jesus Christ he knew what he was doing, I was done in 60 seconds and didnβt even hurt
Bianca helped me and found the proper coding of my necessary blood test. This was after Quest could not do the same thing. She is pleasant and discreet.
Terrible experience !!!! Employees have a nasty attitude !!!! Not professional it take three employees to find my daughterβs vein I will give them. -0.
Came in at 7:00AM under the assumption that aappointments were not necessary. I started the check-in process using the self-service machine, but was told that they were unable to accommodate me that day and the next available appointment was 10:35 on Wednesday. I tried to find another appointment earlier in the morning, so I wouldnt have to miss a couple of hours of work, but there was nothing before 9:00AM for two weeks. Decided to drive to another location.
Love this place nice and friendly staff. The longest I waited was 20 minutes to go in and thatβs cause it was busy and I still made home in time. You guys ROCKππ½
The people here are very professional and friendly. The lady who took my blood was Fantastic. It was not my first time so as last time it was great.
This is by far the worst LabCorp I ever visited. The service is horrible!!! They open at 7:00AM and upon arrival and being only the second person to sign in, my son was not called inside until 8:31AM where we had to stand on a line and wait another 30 - 40 minutes. Ive seen much better service and organization elsewhere. I definitely dont plan on returning and strongly suggest you try another facility for a better experience. Would rate them at a 0 if I could have.
I recently took my 6 month old here for blood work and as a first time mom I was VERY nervous. Let me say, we were in and out and the staff was amazing! The two girls that did his blood work were very patient and would not even attempt to draw blood without finding his vein to avoid having to stick him again. I could not be happier!
OMG, first time in my life that I got nice quick and efficient attention, came half an hour early for my appointment thinking that it may be an issue.. donβt at all... then the person taking my information was kind enough to explain what she was doing and finally the phlebotomist Bianca was just AMAZING, she nice chit chat to relax me and I was out of there 15 min after. Def coming back and def recommending this place!
I have to go to have blood drawn every few months. Unfortunately this is the closest facility to my home. There is usually a long wait, the technicians are butchers, I rarely leave there without a bruise. I was recently told by one of my doctors that I there is a facility over in Livingston. Though it is farther than I would like to go the staff there is friendly and courteous and I didnt even know the technician had pricked me to take my samples. I wish someone would make Montclair as nice a facility as Livingston is now.
I had a good experience too! And I came from an upsetting doctors visit. To get lab work done is not easy. Regardless of who you are and where you live. I work at a different lab and it is a very stressful job.The people that have the most control are never around, and all of the women I saw the other day were busting their booties. No oneβs a magician and we all do our best. Itβs upsetting to be a patient, but I try to have patience! And a smile ..and some compassion go a long way. I have to laugh at myself, it helps me cope. And honestly...working in a clinical laboratory..faxes....tests..wait time on results..and the mistakes ..are usually the doctorsβ. Just saying... ;)
This place is the worst. Arrived to get blood work for my daughter. There was one person in the waiting room. Two hours later and a full waiting room later I was still sitting there. The staff was so lazy they never got up to call patients from the window. They just yelled peopleβs names from the back. Iβm never coming here again. Rather drive for an hour then sit in this dump for hours for no good reason.
The employees here are always the nicest people and they do a great job. Bianca is the best!
Was in an out within 15 minutes now that you have to make an appointment on line. There is hardly any wait b.v time to be seen.
Doctors told me it is going to take me A MONTH to recover... The phlebotomist nicked a nerve during my blood draw. The pain was crazy and she basically dismissed it. Its been a week now and my arm is still tingling and in pain. Now I cant go to the gym or play music for weeks more. Im infuriated, and am looking at legal options.
Rude
The wait is very long. You cannot reach them by phone. Theyre very good at drawing blood but the whole operation of the place needs an overhaul. All the employees, except for one, are non-american which is very disgraceful too. But theres alot of parking.
TERRIBLE service!! This is my second time here and I came here for bloodwork since it was close to my doctors office I donβt know how they have any good reviews they must have written it themselves. The staff they have upfront is very unprofessional, the woman name Bianca came inside as I was getting my info entered she was talking loudly on the phone with someone and I heard her whole conversation not only was she on the phone she smelled of cigarettes and coffee. Then the girl upfront Sabrina not sure is she the manager but sheβs very rude i asked her what I should do since the kiosk was down when I was trying to check in and instead of listening she told me to scan my id and check in when all 3 screens said proceed to front and the woman with the short hair just put the clipboard out as if I was bothering them. Sannai drew my blood and she was very nice probably the only nice person there and Sabrina entered my information incorrectly after I filled out a sheet and have her my id. Not only did she get some information wrong she mixed up my blood test with someone elseβs and when sannai asked her about she gave her an attitude as if she did something wrong. As I was waiting instead of telling to fill out the form Sabrina waited until I came in to tell me to fill it out and then asked me to go back into the waiting room which made no sense. As I was getting my blood drawn all 3 of the women sat in the front on their phones talking and showing each other stuff. Sannai and another young lady in the very back were the only people working. I like the old staff better with Dione and the Spanish guy. The ladies up front are rude they need to go to customer service training. NEVER coming back here and if you know whatβs best for you donβt come either. Sannai Iβm sorry you have to work with these people
If you are vising for a pediatric draw stay away from this place. Like one of the reviewers said The technicians are butchers here. I wont be taking by kids there anymore.
My mother was there and her expirience was horrific. First of all the service there was terrible. The lady who took care of her was not only rude but also unprofessional. She was doing my mother blood work while being on the phone. She tied the rubber band and then it snapped on her and hit her right arm leaving a bruise and she did not apologize or say anything. TERRIBLE PLACE. Staff is simply nasty and rude.
Staff has always been pleasant and courteous. The phlebotomist are very experienced and gentle.
We had an appointment and didnt have to wait long, but the bedside manner was bad. It was if our technician was trying to communicate as little as physically possible, which doesnt help when youre trying to calm a 2-year old who is getting her blood drawn.
Lobby open to sit in a few minutes before the lab opens. With a few people ahead of me, still very quick, efficient and friendly staff!
The ladys over there they are so sweet and they love to do there job and they are very funny
This entire companies customer service system is inefficient and disgraceful. I simply wanted to reschedule an appointment. I tried doing it online, I tried calling the office, which directed me to a automated phone system, that did not even function correctly. Currently still cant reschedule. I dont think I need to talk to someone to make an appointment, but your automated and internet system should be at least working for a simple task. AWEFUL!!
Ive been using this lab for many years. After I make an appointment, they take a right away.
I am only giving a 1 star as I cannot give none. I came in and asked receptionist if I should sign in as I did not have an appointment. The receptionist looked at me but did not acknowledge me and continued with to discuss their lunch plans. I finally just signed in and sat down after making serveral attempts to speak to staff. The two other patients in waiting room stated they received same treatment. I was finally called after some time but was addressed by wrong name. When I corrected the staff I was told well I guess its you, you are only one in waiting room. I saw manager once I got to the back. Im guessing he took my concerns to staff immediately as the staff began talking about me even technician drawing my blood. I told them their behavior was unacceptable. I will not come back here and you should save yourself the headache. The staff here not all but most are unprofessional. I would thank Hector for drawing my blood. Im a hard stick and he managed to get it on first try.
Slowww. Lady at reception is bipolar (can be entertaining, like a rollercoaster). Parking sucks. After a long wait, get pricked, leave, and hope you never have to come back.
I recently visited this Labcorp. Surprisingly, the usually crowded waiting room was empty. I was encouraged! However, I was soon to discover that rather than allowing patients to sit and wait in the waiting room, we were being asked to stand in a line inside the facility after we signed in. When I asked the manager if he thought that was a good policy, he very solicitously said I could sit at the check-in station and they would call my name when my turn came if I didnt want to stand. Nice, but what about all the others standing in line?? While seated, one of the technicians asked for tissues. Nope - no tissues in a health facility. He was offered toilet paper. The manager then decided to go to Pathmark to purchase tissues. But the worst came when I was asked to move and wait my turn on a gurney-type structure. Not a problem for me, Im 59. But when an 85-year-old, frail woman came in, her grandson was told to hoist her up on the same table. I was outdone and went looking for a chair. Forget that the waiting room had at least a dozen chairs, I found several chairs in what seemed like a lunch room. I asked if I could take one and was told to wait. In the meantime the grandson had gotten his sick grandmother on the table and was told to be careful when he took her down. Avoid this facility and travel to Parsippany - I hear they treat their patients with kindness.
The staff was phenomenal! Very please with their knowledge, professionalism, and care!
This place sucks
Nice and clean and polite workers
What a fast service! And the crew is fantastic
This place is nice but the staff is just....... Nasty.... And rude. Such an unpleasant experience. They yelled at the patients and talk down to them as though theyre stupid animals.....
Most of the experiences that Ive had at Lab.,Corp., in Montclair, NJ have been good. About five to six years ago, I wrote to Lab., Corp., the Staff at LabCorp in Montclair are overworked! People need jobs! Why not hire more staff for the Montclair, NJ, facility?Since that correspondence, I have retired, moved to another state and have not had to use the LabCorp facilities in Montclair. Today, during my first month on Medicare, and a supplemental insurance plan, I went to LabCorp in Montclair to get lab., work done. Well, not very much has changed! Staff overworked, processing paperwork that they can not explain to patients, and generally just going through the motions as dictated by LabCorp. No, I will not sign paperwork holding me responsible for charges that I know is covered by Medicare! People really need to think hard when casting your vote in November!
I have gone here a few times and from past experience I was prepared for the worst...long wait, rudeness from staff but to my surprise the overall visit was an improvement...front office staff still leave alot to be desired in terms of friendliness but I wouldnt say unprofessional and the phlebotomist I had was spot on...I was in and out within an hour
I do not understand why this facility had such bad reviews. It was not crowded, the receptionist was friendly, and I was out in no time. Glad that I did not go by to the reviews that I read. Would come again if I had to.
I called to ask about a drug test and the woman told me that I did not need it an appointment, I got there and I waited 2 hours when I ask why they taking so long they told me that it was my option to make an appointment. They didnt care how long I waited there!
Totally inept. Poured out my urine sample before testing, had to recollect (24 hours) forcing me to reschedule all my Dr. appointment. Then the employee laughed at the situation.
Been here with my 4year old daughter and are ver rude ,comments like she scream to much
God forbid you try to call them........... this service is so bad
Rude and even when theyre not busy they sit and talk with with each other and leave you hanging.
Horrible service. They wasted my time! I am never going back
Not accurate if open or closed during holidays when you Goggle.
Excellent service
Staff are very rude, they have no respect at all...
Very slow despite appointment
Very rude, extremely slow.
Fast services
Worst service every
Intake service was lovely. The gentleman or should I say angryman that refused to take my sons blood was belligerent and rude. He needs to understand the disabilities act and civil rights act. The way he treated me and my son with autism was an insult to humanity. He should be reprimanded. He needs to practice love and not orders. The wonderful lady who stepped in and took my sons blood was beautiful and kind. I think her name began with S. Unfortunately the angryman dropped the stars to three. What are we becoming in society? Love and kindness rules the day πππ―π―π―
