This morning (6/17/21) my daughter went to the Hilltop Nail and Spa for an eyebrow waxing. This was the first time she had visited the establishment in several months. When the owner lady went to apply the wax to her eyebrows it was extremely hot. When she ripped of the waxing paper it felt tender to my daughter but she assumed it was just the typical tingle that comes with waxing. After she arrived at home I noticed that her eyelid had been burned and was raw.I believe that this spa should be investigated. No person should be paying for a simple treatment and leaving with their eyelid burned.

The professionalism here was horrible. My daughter and I went in to get our SNS re-done and while she was taking off the SNS for my daughter with the drill, she was not looking at my daughters fingers. My daughter got cut with the drill because of this. They dont have a very big SNS color selection and she kept questioning if mine were actually SNS because they were so strong. Will not be back.

My very first time there and my last.. I was literally picked on and made fun of. I will NOT RETURN and that man John is horrible he is verbally abusive

First time going yesterday. Today my nail is chipped I will not be a returning customer.

Absolutely love this place. As a diabetic with stage 4 Lung cancer. I am always concerned about cleanliness and I will only go here. By far this is the cleanest salon I have ever been too. No matter how busy they are which is most of the time because they are so good. I have always received perfect service and Friendly. Even when I bring in my 4 year old Granddaughter to get her little nails painted they are so patient with her and keep her laughingI always recommend. Just remember this yes they will ne busy but it is because they are the best

The worst place they don’t do poly gel and also the owner is very rude smh never again

Not happy after removing the polish this is the horror I find. I had great time even though it was busy and I felt neglected and over looked. Sat in chair for over an hour water even got cold. Then few weeks later after removing polish this is my discovery. I have never had any problems with my toes. So scared and upset that I got infected with some thing. Will not be returning wish could be refunded my $40. I spludged did full package.

I’ve been coming to Hilltop for years to get my eyebrows waxed. Today will be my last time. My eyelid is burned. The owner didn’t even acknowledge it. I am very disappointed in the experience.

Fong did my nails today. Cut, file and gel manicure. He did an excellent job. At other times Luann has done my nails also good job. Very kind and friendly.

When my daughter and I walked in yesterday we asked the lady the price for a full set. When she told us the price she asked us if we wanted to get our nails done. I stated, Were still thinking about it. She then turned around, looked back at us and sarcastically said, OH, youre thinking about it?! Then looked me up and down and walked towards the back. I asked my daughter if she saw how the lady looked at me? She said no, but I heard in her voice that she had an attitude. I would give them a 0 score, if I could. ME nails on Roosevelt Blvd (across from McDonalds) in Monroe got our $120 that day plus a tip.

I have been going to this salon ever since it opened. Some times they are busy, and for a business that is GOOD! Just come back later. I have had to wait sometimes, and then sometimes I was taken care of right away. This is the first place that I have ever been able to get nails put on that I didnt pick, bite or otherwise destroy. It was suggested to me that I get the pink powder I did, and I am very happy with my nails. This is the first time that they have lasted long enough for a fill in. Thank you Hilltop Nails for listening to me and suggesting something that was right for me.

Very unprofessional. Not ever going back!

The place is full of people not social distancing, some customers do not wear a mask and they do not clean between customers. I was leaving and one of the workers told me that I can’t leave without paying like I do not understand how in the world she though that I was trying to do that very disrespectful. I will never come back.

Staff here are so nice and they take their time with each customer. Prices are great compared to other nail salons. Very clean environment. Always use proper sanitation practices and autoclave (sterilize) their instruments.

Today was certainly a disappointment for us. We have enjoyed this salon most visits even with the long waits.Today I made an appointment for us both at 2pm. We arrived on time and I was started on time for the $35 treatment. My guest waited a minimum of 25 minutes before they started her and that was prompted on speaking up 2x about the delay for a scheduled appointment. I had a good experience again today but realized that my guest was finished at the exact same time as I was. Essentially, she was cheated out of the extra massage for the addition $10 as we only wanted to pay for the $25 service. So at check out, we stated our complaint and we did not want to pay the $35 for hers. Additionally, Neither one of the techs came back to put our shoes on or say goodby for the tip.Asking for the discounted amount ... well, that did not go well at all. There was a scene... and the man who claims he is NOT the owner, cheated us out of the $5 on the card in addition. I scolded him in front of the other few patrons. I wont be back. Nor will my guest. Shameful treatment. I have never had to argue with someone over poor service. They should have compensated more than $5.Unfortunately the techs never got their tips in the heated exchange.

John is by far the absolute best nail tech In the south. And believe me Ive looked.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, TIME, OR ENERGY ON THIS PLACE. The only great service you will receive, will be from the 3 ladies that do the pedicures. I will honestly say I have never been more disrespected in an establishment of business before. The male and female owners are very rude. I went in for a pedicure and I was speaking to one of the ladies who always does my pedicure, by the way the place was super packed. There were two seats left in the pedicure area, and they had not been cleaned and towels were around the pedicure bowls. Long story short, the owners kept trying to sit me at those two particular stations. I asked him were the stations cleaned and for some reason, he became very aggressive towards me. He asked, “Why do you keep asking if they are clean? Yes they are always clean.” The owner and I began to argue loudly because he was disrespectful and refused to hear what I was saying. It was horrible. Also as we were arguing, one of the women who works for him was trying to tell him that the pedicure bowls were not clean, he was dismissive towards her. He and his wife began speaking their language. Furthermore, I left and WILL NEVER return. I have given this place soo much of my money before but never again. On top of that, prior to me coming in, I overheard another customer complaining about how the pedicure bowl she was sitting in had not been cleaned until she said something. Like why would you take the chance to expose a customer to any germs or bacteria that another customer could have had??? Sanitation should be the most important thing in any business. Good luck to anyone who decides to take their business to this particular establishment. They get one star for the girls that are employed there, because they are truly nice.

Quick service. Not a high end salon, but decent for the price! Would definitely go back again for a quick gel polish.

Horrible experience! Super thick uneven nails. Will never return. John didnt want to fix the mess up of his brother. Go to Serenity on Dickerson, to bad they were booked and I needed a last min manicure.

Have been going to Hilltop Nails for some time now. They do a super job and are always friendly and courteous. I recommend them to all my friends. My nails are always beautiful and I receive many compliments on my nails even from strangers. I will continue to go here for all my nail needs including the pedicures which are the best I have ever had.

I am beyond disgusted with this place. Don’t ever let John do your nails. He’s terrible. I went for a fill-in, he didn’t even blend the old acrylic with the new acrylic. You can tell where I needed a fill in and where the new acrylic is. I mentioned that a nail was crooked, and he told me not to worry about it. What kind of service is that? Please go somewhere else, save you $25+ dollars.I did get a pedicure, and they lady was really nice,And did a good job. I don’t remember her nameBut she’s the one that always does pedicures. Unfortunately, I won’t be going back there for pedicures or anything else.

Never will I go here again!The older of the ladies is WAY too rough when filing your nails.Not only that, when I informed her that it hurts she informed me that it did not, unbelievable!The filing she did wasnt even and was longer on the left side by at least millimeters. I had to file them myself before allowing her to paint them.Final Product: The acrylic didnt come all the way to the sides (was 4 millimeters shy) of the fingernail she put on and the polish didnt come to the acrylic (3 millimeters shy in places).There were indentations in the acrylic (like it was caved-in in areas) i asked if she was going back over with more acrylic.. she said no.You could see through the nails between the nail bed and white french tip she painted (like there was a gap)So on day 2 it was noticeable that I needed a fill in ALREADY!The white tip was incomplete on sides and sloppy as well.Also, didnt push cuticle back or clean those up which made the need for a fill in absolutely necessary by day 3 (there was such a big gap where they had already grown out.To top it all off..She charged me $40!Was told beforehand $25.Was talking to someone in Subway who said she doesnt go there anymore because they dig into you when they file, its so hard! and stated that they made her toes bleed!In the service industry you MUST know how to take instruction well and accommodate your client..Overall Poor Customer Service!

Horrible!! Dont waste your money! Three of us went in for manicures. My friend got a gel manicure with a design on her accent nail. The starfish looked like a blob. The nail tech took it off with acetone three time and started over and it looked just as bad when she finished. Not to mention youre not supposed to get acetone on the gel. Her gel polish was chipped the next day. My tips and acrylics were WAY too long. I told her to keep cutting them down and she wouldnt cut anymore off. I wound up having to cut them down at home as Im not allowed to have them that long at work. My other friends nails turned out decent....however, she wanted a flower on her accent nail. The nail tech who did her nails had already sealed it with the top coat, so the nail tech who was doing the design wiped it with acetone. She only did one nail and refused to do the other hand because it didnt turn out beautiful! WHAT? Again...just dont go here.

**long post, but please read! Could save you from wasting time and money!!!**went to this place on Saturday 11/4 to get a white tipped manicure and pedicure. The next day, I noticed a significant amount of bubbles over the white area of my nails. They were all basically just covered in bubbles. So on Monday I called and asked the guy if I could come in and just have my nails painted in a color to cover the bubbles. He said it was no problem and seemed super nice about it so I left work and headed back over there. When I got there he immediately got defensive when I told him I had just spoke to him on the phone about painting over my bubbles. I didn’t want them to be redone or anything that would take them spend a lot of time on my nails. He told me I was being dramatic and that white tip nails always have bubbles etc. I told him multiple times that I understand there will be *some* bubbles but my entire nail on every finger should not be covered in bubbles. He eventually told me to go pick out a color and they’ll fix it. So as I’m looking at colors, he’s telling everyone in the whole shop that I’ve obviously never had white tip nails done before, I’ve only ever had pink and white (I’ve never done pink and white in my life) and that I had no clue what I was talking about. He had two different techs come and try to rush me into picking a color. I apologized to the girl and told her I don’t normally do colors on my fingernails and I’m having trouble figuring out what I want. Eventually she suggested that she remove my top coat, file the tops and reapply the top coat. I said if you think that will help that’ll be fine. After she finished and I was walking about the guy called me to his station and said “see! I told you there’s supposed to be bubbles! Now do you see?!” I said “sir, once again, I understand there will be SOME bubbles but the amount that are in there now is not even half the amount that was there before”. He rolled his eyes at me! One week later, my nails look awful - the top coat has almost all chipped away and it looks like I desperately need a fill in. It’s been exactly one week. $55 down the drain. I’ll never go back to this place especially after how rude the guy was (I believe he’s the owner).

First off had asked the nail technician how much ombré nails would be which she said $50! Then had to wait 45 minutes before I got to sit even more before they got to me. Finally when the guy got to me never asked what I wanted and started to just glue on acrylic nails, then after cutting and priming nails, he asked what color I wanted and I showed him the ombré and he said he couldn’t do that with the nails that he put on. He repeatedly kept saying he didn’t know, after I repeatedly told the girl I wanted the ombré. Plus when he put the nail polish on it was totally half done as there were obvious missed spots. On top of that had to pay full price of nails I didn’t even want. Will never go there again. Do not recommend this place at all.

This is the worst shop I have been to for service. The tech did a crappy job with my toes, I came in the next day to get it re-done, and not only did they recharge me for the same job I got the prievious day, she could not even do an art piece that was on display in the shop. ****Do not go there..they ripped me off and still did not finish what I paid for twice**** BEWARE .BEWARE .FRAUDS ..I wish there were negative stars
