I had an accident and within the hour, Farmers was dealing with it. They provided a tow truck. Called and setup repairs for both partys. Everything was dealt with on a professional level. We have been with Farmers/Dan Youngs insurance since 1985.Our house was still standing after the Paradise California Campfire occurred November 8th, 2018.However we were displaced for 35 days in our RV and lost two outbuildings along with considerable exterior damages totaling sixty thousand dollars.The Farmers field adjuster was responsive and professional.We received payment for our fire damage claims right away.Comparing our experience with Farmers insurance to some of our neighbors experience with their own insurance showed us that choosing the right insurance company and the proper coverage is of the utmost importance.We recommend Farmers. The one thing that bothers me, the risk involved in both the house I’m in, as well as the cars covered by the policy is minimal. The cars, for instance, could be totaled in a parking lot event. Their age and mileage is consistent with that and yet, although I have not entered a claim, against any of these, cars as well as the house in all the years I’ve owned them my rates exist above virtually all other sources who have offered them. My loyalty to Dan and his father is the only reason I remain a customer. Also pursuant to checking the box labeled “Responsive” they have responded, in quick fashion, to requests I have submitted.

Wanted written breakdown of savings related to car/house/life/burglar alarm..etc package to compare with other companies as rates keep going up. Also had to switch life ins as mine termed out and extension rate was way out of line. I never got any written response, although they were willing to talk over the phone. Its hard for me to have an opinion as I have had no interaction regarding claims EVER. For that very reason I did not give an excellent rating. I just pay my bill once a year and keep my fingers crossed that I dont need to call you. In many incidences over the years I have thought about submitting a claim when my HOA doesnt step up to the plate. However, I dont because I worry about my rates going up. Thank you and sorry for my slowness in responding.
