Gym is good customer service is terrible. One time there was an issue with my payment and instead of approaching me about it at the desk before I enter the gym or approaching me at the desk when I finished I was approached in the middle of a workout. I had headphones on and awkwardly turned my head around to find out an associate was standing by waiting for me. She embarrassed me in front of everyone and awkwardly chatted with a guy about how this is really her job. How is that acceptable behavior for a store associate. Also you should never talk about payments or anything of the sort out in the open, common sense. Was not a returning customer after that.

I’m stronger for my family, my business and my friends; and it starts at The Gym @Milford. The Hammer Strength equipment and free weights are what I use the most because I love the independent movement, but there are a ton of choices with plenty of floor space across cardio, cable, Life Fitness, TRX, kettlebells, everything you could want… And always the option to do a class or book a trainer if I ever wanted to.As top notch as the the equipment and space is, their people are the best. They do an excellent job of hiring great managers, staff and trainers; super positive, friendly and knowledgeable; and the members are like that too. I can always get a “spot” if I need one; none of the intimidation I’ve experienced at other places; my workouts have more energy and my body noticeably stronger than being solo (which I did for months so I can compare) because I’m around other people with similar goals.Masks? I was concerned at first. Not going to lie, I really miss seeing peoples’ faces, but it was easier than I thought to adapt in terms of actually working out. Definitely recommend giving it a try before assuming you can’t or shouldn’t. Try different brands. COVID? They are very clean and diligent about hygiene. No worries. Thousands served, no issues. It’s not even a thought anymore.And I love it now that they are their own brand and can be themselves instead of confined to the identity of a large franchise. Can’t think of any better way to start the day. The Gym is The Best!

The only reason I didnt give it a 5 is missing my spin class and the fact that people arent watched enough for the mask violations.

I relocated from the area so I had to cancel my membership. When I joined this gym the membership sales person informed I could cancel at any time by just letting them know over the phone or in person. I did just that when I relocated. But they never cancelled my membership. I contacted them once again and they have made it nearly impossible to cancel my membership. They were still charging me monthly, I had to contact my credit card to put a block on the charges. They now have a third party calling me day and night, sending me letters to collect charges for months of membership I have no used. I have submitted a complaint to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. I will submit complaint to government office in Mildford, MA and better business bureau. This is ridiculous DO NOT JOIN THIS PLACE.

I called into Golds Gym in Milford Ma the other day. I spoke with someone really nice and they said as long as I came in this week they would wave the enrollment fee. I came in the next day ready to sign up and the manager wouldn’t honor what was told to me and was really condescending. Honestly I was deciding between paying monthly with a year contract or paying the year upfront which waives the enrollment fee anyways but she made me feel like I was lying. As a business owner I have no idea how this person represents the gym.

Great gym. Great atmosphere. Reminds me of the old golds in Worcester (now boost, but has stayed the exact same). this golds is How a gym should be. Signed up mistakenly at the worlds down the street and left mid workout and immediately signed up at golds... clean place and friendly staff. Great equipment, great flowing layout as well. Golds does it right and is a model for all gyms.

Let me start off by saying I love it here and the staff are friendly and inviting. That being said, this particular location needs a makeover. Equipment is constantly out of service and all the stationary bikes need to be replaced ASAP, carpet needs to be torn up and replaced with a sanitary type rubber. The smell of unwashed clothing (guessing the sweat drenched carpet) gets worse by the day and is extremely nauseating while you’re trying to work out. Please please please give this place the attention it deserves.

Tried to cancel my membership due to COVID, and they failed to do so. I recommend a cheaper gym that cares and actually takes their customers and COVID seriously.

Great gym. Ladies work out room which is nice but often 2-3 women take over the floor space making it difficult to move around to the different machines. Great place for a woman to work out without feeling like youre being judged.

Higher value than the most modern and broadest gyms.

Ive been going here for a few over a year now, and I truly enjoy it. Its clean and has everything you want in a gym, lots of space and plenty of equipment. There are things I notice...1. The staff ( not all the staff is friendly) most dont even bother to even smile.2. When you ask specific questions, like signing up for a program ( more money in Golds pocket) no one seems to know what you are asking about, or they refer you to a trainer that they dont bother to introduce you to.3. Interests expressed via email are not responded to.Sad. I will continue to go because I love working out, if there was another gym that offered what they have locally I would have been gone already.

So I recieved a flyer in mail when I called to talk about the promotion the guy over phone said I had to come in and talk to someone from membership, I went in yesterday and the girl was not helpful at all she said the promotion was over yet on the flyer it says it expires February 14. So that was weird. It says on flyer that its a clean gym but it didnt look or smell clean . Planet fitness seems to be cleaner then this gym. Not sure if I want to give this gym a chance feel like it would be a waste of my time. It seemed as if the girl didnt want to help me at all . The juice bar looked very ghetto. Not sure if this will be the right gym for me , experience dosent seem like it will be a good one.

It has everything you need but they need to desperately get more squat racks or tell their clientele that they can’t leave their stuff near a rack, leave it for ten minutes while they’re at a machine, and then come back.I used to come here after work but then there was never a free squat rack. So I started to come during lunch when it was less busy. Today that didn’t work, every rack was taken (one by a guy who wasn’t even using it, instead setting up box jumps inside while in between sets at a curl machine.It has a great facility, all the fixings a good iron addict needs. And its the only thing in the area that does. But, if you sign up here, be prepared to skip leg day.

I felt disrespected by one of the employees. She was a little racist, English isn’t my first language and I felt like she was making fun of me about it. She has red/orange and it’s not the first time this happened because she did the same thing to my friend the other day and didn’t let her go in. Unfriendly staff

I have been to many of the gyms in the area but Golds is by far my favorite. I have been a member there for the last six years or so. I like the atmosphere because it is well lit and clean. You are always able to get to use the equipment you need as it is not super crowded. The have ample weights and cardio equipment as well.

There is a wealth of equipment available for your workouts. Plenty of bars, racks, free weights, dumbbells, and machines. And the machines are arranged in a logical manner - upper body machines together and lower body machines together. Multiple studios. Lots and lots of cardio equipment.I was a member of another gym locally before joining Golds. Everything that I disliked about the other gym is a non-issue at Golds.

They have new 100, 110, 120, 130, 140 and 150lb dumbbells. This is the way.

Best gym I have been a part of for many reasons. Very clean atmosphere, friendly staff, friendly/helpful members, great equipment--everything I could imagine. Overall it is an awesome place and I look forward to coming every day.

My son did the Jijutsu program at Golds gym. The suddenly stopped the program and then charged me for the following month after I completed the cancellation paperwork. The communication is horrible as I called many time and even went in person and no one was able to help. They kept saying the manager Heather was on vacation. When I finally got in contact with Heather she was rude and unresponsive. She kept referring that I did not give 30 day notice even though the program stopped so I was unable to give notice when they stopped the program. I dont know how Heather can call herself a manager by the way she spoke to me on the phone. I would never be back.

One of the best gyms I have been to. Staff is amazing, helpful, and always smiling. Members are sociable and pleasant. You may get some grouchy hangry women around bikini training season, but I think we can all understand that. The equipment is very well maintained and there is plenty of it. Everything you need is here. I cannot attest to cardio equipment, classes, or the PT because I primarily use the gym for power lifting. However I do incorporate rope slams, the sled, resistance training, tire flips, etc into my workouts. They have all of that. I also like rope climbs. They have the machine. Would be cooler if they had an actual rope. They have a heavy bag for punching and kicking things. Ive been to about every gym, and I personally like this the best for lifting and having such a huge variety of options to spice up your workout. They have full and clean locker/shower rooms, daycare, themed spin classes (amongst many others). Only thing missing is contact kickboxing classes or bags, hence the four stars instead of five. I hear the Golds in Medford got contact kickboxing....hint hint.

Great gym, great people. As long as I live in this area, I will continue to be a member of this establishment. The only way I could ever see cancelling my membership would be if I got hit by a bus. Or eaten my a wild Jaguar. Wow. That would be Craaaaaaaaaaaaazy.

I love the customer service! Everyone is so nice and the atmosphere is uplifting. The equipment is well kept and there is such a variety of machines to work on.

Well-equipped, but dishonest and/or disorganized staffI tried to sign up for a membership after hearing about a special offer. I spoke with two different people on the phone and received two different offers, so there doesnt seem to be good communication between the staff.After some time trying to figure out the various confusing offerings, some involving cancellation fees, some without but with first and last month down payment and a 30 day notice for cancellation (which the manager was unable to justify), I was given the minimum amount that I needed to pay. This included a random $10 processing fee, but I was like whatever.Then when I go to sign the contract, at the last minute right before signing my name, Im informed of an extra $40 annual fee for maintenance that is charged in April. Being a new member, I essentially just had to pay for an extra month for no reason.Overall the gym is well-equipped, but the website is useless and the staff somewhat uninformed. Pay VERY close attention and ask detailed questions about the plans that they offer, and make sure you read the contract carefully.

I went to cancel my membership, the manager came with the form ready and just told me your contract expires in six months so it’s $100 termination fee plus 30 days notice $24, sign here, should we charge it to the same card? She didn’t ask to stay until the contract is over because the price would be about the same or enjoy the membership for the remaining time that way it will be cheaper. As long as she gets the ~$100 she was ok. If I was going to spend the same amount of money, at least put some value into the customer too. I am talking about customer service and she is the MANAGER?
