Very bad experience. Love how the chick who did my nails did good shape and color, but keep getting up to answer phone and distracted that she sliced my finger with the drill, still Charged me FULL Price, acutally more a fill is said to be 20 plus 10 for gel color but I got charged 35$. Ontop of my bleeding finger. Would not do at least half price since they cut my finger which is unprofessional. I pay for a good service not distracted workers. Now my finger still hurts days later 😡

They were super fast and had a great price but they did the bare minimum. Didnt even file or clean my nails, just clipped them super short. No cuticle work, just polish. It wasnt a bad experience, I appreciated how quick but I was a little disappointed in the attention to detail.

New ownership. Just not the same. Last 2 visits I had made an appointment earlier in the week. First time they took me 40 minutes late, second time 20 minutes. And both times they rushed thru my nails they arent the right shape and are all crooked. Others walked in after me with appointments made to wait just as long. Gave a second chance but wont be giving a 3rd. Time to find a new salon. Too bad, Ive been going there a couple years now and was really happy til now.

The people are nice… but this was my second attempt with them. I thought it would be better but within less than a week 3 of my nails fell off already so I ripped them all off in anger… I paid 47 dollars and gave a nice fat tip. The guy literally didn’t even make sure the tips fit my nails lol. I have gotten my nails done countless times from other places and the quickest my nail would fall off is like ar least 2 weeks unless I hit it really hard but these fell off with zero to no effort. Upset that I wasted my money.

I was so happy to start coming here every 3 weeks for 2 years. The quality was the best I’ve had. Even after I moved out of town? I would travel 30 mins to stay a loyal customer! The owner is wonderful.The past two visits, even after 2 years and tipping VERY WRLL, I have been treated like garbage, rushed, burned and left bleeding on one occasion.The last visit I had their which will be my final visit regrettably, was terrible. I went in on a Saturday which typically I never do and I didn’t recognize any of the staff but I had full confidence they would be great. I was bounced between four technicians and they kept allowing walkins as I sat and waited after having an appointment. The last person who ended up seeing me was not only rough, abrasive, forceful with my hands, and rushing me but also she was completely rude and unprofessional. The first person who drilled my polish off missed a lot of the polish and I wanted a French manicure. When I pointed out the remaining spots, the rude woman barked at me and said “that’s because you need a new set”. I told her I haven’t needed one as I had a bee set put on routinely a few months ago.I couldn’t get the French manicure and so I asked for a color I usually get and she just grabbed whatever was on the table and applied it. At that point, I felt violated and rushed and I just left..even left a great tip because I appreciate the industry.So long Y and J!

They used to be the best it has gone so down hill the last few months. I kept trying to give them a chance since Ive been coming here for a year or so. It just got worse and worse. My nails are all different shapes and sizes. Theyre uneven and bumpy they look awful. The quality isnt here anymore its such a shame. I used to leave so happy but Ive been incredibly disappointed by them the last few times.

Stopped in during lunch break at 1:15. It was busy. Manicure was extremely, rushed and the staff wasn’t all that friendly.

They did a great job on my nails. Recently moved to the area and I’m so happy I found them! They were so nice and made me feel really comfortable. Service is above and beyond any nail salon I’ve ever been to. I will definitely be going back and highly recommend them if you want your nails done. I get acrylic stiletto nails and they came out flawless!

It says 30 dollars for acrylic set, yeah right! All my daughter got was sparkle butterflies and it came up to 106 dollars. That’s ridiculous, for one new full set? That’s way too much I will not take her there again! I pay 95 dollars for bothOur nails to get done in Hartford, guess I’ll be making the trip

This place is wonderful! Made an appointment for my dad and I for a Fathers Day gift. Due to COVID19 they took every precaution to make the place extremely clean and up to regulation. The customer service was so nice and my nails look and feel great! I will definitely come back!! ...P.s if you make and appointment and decide you cant make it, be good person and let them know so they can fit more people in!!! Thanks again Yuki!!

I have been going to Y&J Nail Spa for about two years now but today was my first visit since they closed because of COVID. I called this morning to make an appointment and they were able to get me in right away. I walked in with my mask and they took my temperature and had me wash my hands before picking a nail color. I sat down at the pedicure station where seats were separated with covers- both between customers and between customers and the nail techs. The entire spa was very clean and I felt completely safe and taken care of. The owner was telling me how they only allow 4 customers in the salon at a time in order to ensure everyones safety and follow the social distancing guidelines. Around the entire salon were notices and postings about the pandemic and how to stay safe. Y&J Nail Spa has always given me the best care and service and today was no different - I am absolutely impressed with how much care and the precautions they are taking to keep their customers and staff safe from COVID. Rest assured if you come here you will leave with beautiful nails and peace of mind. Thank you YJ Nail!!

At first everything was good, real nice and friendly but after a couple vists I realize how they overcharge ridiculously and not just me but other customers. I didn’t want to make a review about this but I felt like I should let others know what to expect. And whenever I made a comment or about how bad my service is they had a attitude. I attend a better salon in the area and I realized a big difference, from this place I been going too.

Under new owner . Everyone is so friendly . I got my power nails done .They came out great .Also they do fancy nail art . If youre looking for a good nail shop around middletown come here

They are Chinese who run the salon so they come across as rude but when in fact their english and mannerism is coarse. However, that said, their work is fantastic! I have been going to the for a few years now and theyve been friendly, honest, and consistent! They did my nails for my wedding and it came out absolutely stunning!

Week ago I stopped in to get my nails done. They are very attention to detail u was very happy with the nail job done ·he take his time and make sure my Ballerina shape was right .I feel like it was well worth 5 for the shape .And the technician he definitely deserves it.

Although I have absolutely no intention of returning to this establishment, I am choosing to remove my 2yr old review. I had an awful experience with the previous owners/management but it has come to my attention that the spa is currently under new & better management. I wish them the best! 💋

I went to them on a Saturday and my nail broke off on a Monday . Thats not even half of it . My nail polish then began to come off and it looks like i had these done for a month... its only been a week. The staff are friendly but that doesnt mean anything if the nail quality is trash . I just go here because its close to my home but i will NEVER come here again. This is the worst my nails have ever been. I dont recommend this place to anyone. Nails are supposed to last. I dont appreciate my polish coming off. I paid over $30 for this? wow..... so unsatisfied.

Nice place especially for the cheaper prices, but sometimes a long wait. Service is hit or miss...you have to be very specific and be honest if you arent satisfied so they fix it. They do have a members discount card if u pay cash 8 times u save on next service. Parking anywhere on Main Street sucks but park in Melilli plaza and walk thru market place then bang a left and Nail City is right there.

My experience started off good! I requested a pedicure and mani with gel fill! The women were very welcoming, even gave compliments on my hair! Pedicure was ok! She didnt really focus on the areas I asked. It was more attention on the moisture of my legs when it was my feet that needed the attention. Immediately after I sat for my nails, a guy serviced me. I was waiting for him to be cordial (professional ) and say hello, but he just grabbed my fingers and began to service me. I could go on and on about his demeanor and attitude but just know he was EXTREMELY RUDE and disrespectful. I had to get someone else to finish my nails. Im paying my money I expect for you to at least be kind and courteous. Its YOUR JOB to! They would have received more stars if he wasnt there! Im sure hes the reason they have bad reviews and if he didnt know before , he does now! Throw the man away and hire someone more professional, he doesnt belong there!

After my Nail lady canceled on me 25 minutes before my appointment, I had to run around looking for a Nail salon to get my Nails and pedicure done for my Uncles Funeral.. Thank you Nail City and great job..
