The work was partially completed so he finished the at our home. He stayed late with no problems but made sure that our computers were all in working order. Would recommend with no problems.

Within a day, the issue was fixed and I could get my laptop back. He charged me half of what Dell Tech Support estimated the cost to fix my laptop would be. Although Frank seems like a nice guy his service is very unreliable. My pc’s motherboard got fried and I needed to repair or replace it. After two months of no advancement and countless times of having to call him, I decided to pick up my computer and take it to another place. Frank will never call you to update you about the computer, you will always have to call him to find out what is going on and if he is even working on it. If you don’t call him then your computer is simply never going to get repaired because he is not going to follow up and he is going to forget about it. I decided to write this review because “Real Tec Media” wasted 2 months of my life that I could have used to actually repair my computer somewhere else. Like I said, all I needed was to replace my motherboard but this seemed like an impossible task for Frank. I do not recommend this place for computer repairs, don’t waste your time too.

Franks team came through in a pinch over the weekend. I was setting up a custom gaming PC build for a friend with an MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC motherboard, a Sapphire NITRO+ RX 590 graphics card, and two G.SKILL Ripjaws V series 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200 RAM sticks. Unfortunately the machine wouldnt post or send a video signal, so we were crushed and at a loss. We found Real Tec via Google, and were able to set up a same-day appointment to diagnose and then hopefully fix the issue. Diagnosis was $30 and the fix totaled $125 including the diagnostic fee. After about half-a-days work, they were able to resolve the issue preventing the motherboard from successfully booting. This saved us a lot of time and effort troubleshooting the issue ourselves, and we didnt end up having to return items in working order and trying it all over again next week with new parts. A much better alternative to Geek Squad.

Wife and kid completely killed the home computer - a total loss. Frank quickly and precisely tackled the problem. Had me drop it off the same day and knew by the next day what the issue was: a complete hard drive failure (needed replacing). Got a new 2TB hard drive + diagnostic, replacement, OS upgrade to Windows 10, all hardware drivers installed & tested for about $200. Considering Windows 10 upgrade is $120 by itself, and a new hard drive would have cost me $60 to buy on my own, that was a lot of diagnostic and expert installation labor for the marginal $20. Also, I gave him plenty of chances to upsell me on other stuff, but he wouldnt bite. Just a good-hearted computer and networking mechanic thats really good at what he does and wants to make an honest living from a loyal client base. He can add another repeat customer (and now friend) to his list.
