Everyone who came to my house for the water damage had been professional and very nice . I felt very comfortable with them all . Brian Nickels even helped me with my problem of removing tile from the kitchen . He showed me what to do . Gene had helped and answers questions for the rest of the house . And both men made sure my husband and I were safe and using correct tools , for instance , make sure your wearing safety glasses .So appreciated!

We were referred to Copper State after a plumber suspected a broken pipe and possible water damage in our kitchen. This was not our original plumber and we had no trusted relationship with the company. But considering their concerns, Copper State was recommended to us so we could learn if there was any water damage and if so, the extent of it.Ryan D. came to our house on a Friday and talked to my husband after he did some testing. He said the water damage was extensive and that we would need to pull out all of the cabinets and replace all of the tile in our entire home. My husband and I were so freaked out by this. Ryan advised that we needed to move forward with an insurance claim immediately. We have two small children and a teenager and the thought of all of us having lived with mold in our home was terrifying. We had never seen or suspected any water damage in our home.Ryan left some kind of dehumidifier machine plugged into our kitchen outlet with a house sitting in our sink. This machine was supposed to pull moisture out of the area. He also broke out a piece of tile in our kitchen to determine what kind of materials were under the tile.Saturday morning, my husband and I woke up and started talking about how crazy this all was. Our original plumber never suspected a broken pipe. My sister works for a plumbing company and asked us questions regarding whether we ever suspected a broken pipe or saw evidence of water damage. My husband called our original plumber and he was immediately concerned. He did not suspect a broken pipe or water damage at all. He informed us that he believed we were being scammed.Believing this was probably true, my husband and I decided to see if a plumber could confirm there was just a clog. My husband immediately called Copper State and asked them to come remove their machine, which they did shortly after that request. They made my husband sign a waiver of any liability for us not getting the work finished. The following Wednesday, another plumbing company came out and was successfully able to remove the CLOG in our pipe. He was dismayed to learn what Copper State had told us.We saved ourselves THOUSANDS of dollars and months of heartache (having to move out of our home with two small children!) by cancelling the work with Copper State immediately. It is worth noting that despite the amount and extent of damage they claimed, they never once followed up with us to express concern over leaving the damage unrepaired or to see whether we would like to move forward with them. This lack of follow-up deepened our suspicions.I would never recommend this company to anyone I know. We feel so fortunate that we sought a second opinion. And we believe the plumber and Copper State fabricated the damage to score a big job.

The technician came when our condominium flooded, promised to email quote but did not keep his promise. Couple days later he realized that he forgot his moisture meter, texted me to retrieve it, promised the quote again and vanished again. When I called the office, there was no even file with my name and I was told that you have to sign the contract with the company FIRST in order to get a quote. Only verbal quote before will be presented to you before signing the contract.Stay away. I wonder how they are still in business.

They are extremely slow and do not even listen when you talk to them. Didn’t even have a clue that they sent my insurance company a quote to fix it. Please go with someone else you will be happier.

It is a genuine disappointment that a company with such poor business practices is the first lifeline to panicked homeowners handling sudden damage to their homes. Copper States billing was incorrect. After everything was cleared up, Copper State then issued an additional, also incorrect invoice. This is when it was made clear that Copper State was taking advantage of the insurer and customer. Why did Copper State test a home that was built in 2002 for asbestos, citing in writing that it was necessary due to the age of the home? Why did Copper State expect payment for daily readings for the damage that were required for insurance but never actually taken? After working with three different employees (the first two quit), the manager, Paula Rush, called me. Her explanation was a frustration-filled reiteration. Seeing similar concerns expressed in reviews and the Better Business Bureau website makes me wish I did not allow the plumber to call this company because they would respond the fastest. I am appalled and can only hope that Copper State improves their business practices, for our community and their employees sake.

Our plumbers called Copper State to do water damage mitigation. They arrived immediately and had equipment in place to dry things out. Our project manager was Paula and she kept us informed and responded quickly. Ryan worked with our insurance company and explained everything thoroughly. The workers who did the demolition kept things cleaned up and were careful not to damage our cabinet faces and countertop. Each person who came in was polite, friendly, and hard working. We were very pleased with their work.

Absolutely worse company in the world! We hired these people at a time of panic in need in hopes to solve a leak in the wall. The leak was repaired fairly easily and did not require much damage to anything but the back piece of one cabinet under the sink.Through the process of claiming they needed to dry everything up they felt the need to break all the marble countertops and remove the drywall due to almost 2% asbestos being found in the drywall which doesnt add up because they only removed about a 4x8 portion and left all of the rest there which was the exact same type of drywall?! Just a part of the pitch I suppose to charge more for abatement and make more money. Then the marble countertops broken in several places with no regard because they knew the insurance would cover it and they would make more money..After breaking them, they stated that there would be no guarantee that they would match and then they claimed they could not find the material. A simple call to Arizona tile assured me they had no clue what they were talking about because the material was in stock but was just very expensive because it was imported marble. They threw away all our cabinets because they claimed that they were damaged because the water from the garbage disposal dripped on them. But during that process, they failed to remove the battery housing for the $300 faucet we had which deemed the faucet worthless and I had to purchase another one out of pocket because when I called them complaining that they threw it away they tried to act like they didnt. At which point we had no choice but to fire them and hire a reputable company who was able to quickly bring our house back into original condition and installed exact matching marble countertops as if this nightmare never happened. I have several photos to upload later of the damage and experience so I can hope to prevent several others from having to deal with this kind of issue..I called them several times regarding the faucet and was given broken promises each time. I assured them they could come back to the house to confirm it wasnt here and that we were out of a kitchen faucet and they told me that they would get it squared away and they would not leave me hanging. They assured me the owner would contact me with a resolution. To date Ive never heard back from them once. Called them several times frustrated, yelled, pleaded, begged and still no response back from the owner.Absolutely the worst customer service, worst experience, and unfortunately a company that in my opinion has zero ethics, zero accountability, and just overall a poor experience. In my opinion I would love everyone that deals with these people to at least reply or comment in their review stating if their countertop was broken. Id love to see if 100 out of 100 countertops are broken during these service calls.. 🧐🤔

BEWARE! This company works with plumbers to get kick-backs using your insurance company as bait attempting to commit insurance fraud. They claim to waive your deductible to get you to file a claim for damage that is non -existent and told my insurance agent that I had signs of asbestos and needed to rip through the drywall and take Tile out. My insurance company sent their own plumbers and mitigation team and to my surprise, NO WORK was necessary. They abandoned their machines and fans and refused to pick them up now they are charging me $1700. They also want to use a text message as a contract of services and have threatened to send my file to their attorney and put a lien on my home. Most of the reviews state these same exact facts. Customers need to be aware. We are at their mercy already having a plumbing issue and how dare they take advantage of that. I have filed a BBB claim and will file a claim with AZ Registrar because now they are refusing to respond

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.Monique and Robert are incompetent employees, and terrible managers. My entire experience has been entirely unacceptable. If I could give zero stars I would. This is the biggest excuse for a construction company that I have ever seen. I had a hall bathroom that needed a shower installed, and flooring put in. A job that could be completed over a long weekend if you wanted to. This bathroom renovation took FOUR MONTHS to complete. The ironic part: the bathroom was 75% completed by one man in one day, and the project manager did not even organize the worker to come himself. So frustrating that my family was lied to on multiple occasions so the company could drag their feet and make no progress on the renovation. There is just a total lack of management skills and organization here. The project manager, Robert, blamed my familys frustration with the lack of progress on us. He said that we were not communicating to his workers what needed to be done. He never even knew the status of the bathroom himself. In addition to this mess, I was told on multiple occasions that people would be coming to work on the bathroom and then nobody would show up. If someone did show up though they would come for 20 minutes, say they did not know what was going on and leave without having accomplished any work. My family decided to take over the role of project manager and contacted Copper States employee, Victor, ourselves. Victor was a great employee who came and completed the project in a timely manner. The workers are great, they just do not know what is going on because of the lack of management skills in the office. The best part yet, was that the master bathroom had to be done through this company as part of the insurance too. A few days ago the master bathroom was torn apart for the abatement of asbestos. All of its items left in shambles in my room as seen in the photo. I was told the company would be back the next day to install tile so that the project would be completed and the nightmare would be over. I talked to Robert who forwarded me to Monique, an employee in the office. Monique was EXTREMELY disrespectful and demeaning to me during the phone call. She was aggressive, raised her voice and I would even go as far as to say she cursed at me. Monique told me that she did not even know the abatement of asbestos had started, and that it should not have started. She told me the project could not be completed in the near future. Why did she not know the status of what her own workers were doing for the project in my home. Now I am left with a SECOND bathroom left unfinished. Why would Copper State start the abatement, and leave my home in shambles halfway done? They should have not started the project, or had a plan to complete it. This kind of costumer service is unacceptable and their business is ridiculous. These photos are the mess I am stuck to deal with indefinitely.

I rarely leave reviews, but this is probably one of the worst contracting experiences I have ever had. We had a leak in our ceiling that damaged some drywall and Copper State was called out by our plumbers to do the restoration repair. Our initial interaction was positive, but quickly went downhill. The team came, cut out a large portion of our ceiling, installed some equipment to dry the area out, and then scheduled a time to come and collect the equipment several days later. I rearranged my schedule to be home when they were scheduled to come, but they never came. No call or anything to let me know when to expect them. I called the technician who left me his card and after several failed attempts to get in touch, he answered and said that he would have someone there within an hour. Guess what? They didnt show. I called the main office who said the same thing and that they would call me right back. Guess what? They never came AND never called me back. Ive wasted an entire day waiting around for a company that clearly doesnt value its customers time. Avoid them like the plague.

This company was recommended by the plumbers who worked on my 90 year old mothers kitchen sink. At first they were great. Then they would say they would they would be there certain days/times and were not. I am not sure if they over billed her insurance company. From looking at others reviews I wished I had asked to see the itemized bill. One of my problems with this company is that I had told them that they had put an extra panel under my Moms sink. And that took up a lot of her storage space. So I had paid her bill thinking that they were coming out to fix it. They would say so and so would come out. Never happened. I had called multiple times sent emails regarding this matter. No follow up from them. When I called today I was extremely mad about this whole thing. So we will see what happens. How can they do this to a 90year old woman?

The efficiency of their response was outstanding for water damage from my shower. The challenge for me was not having any experience with this type of situation. There was an assumption that they would complete the drying of the area and then the repair. I now know the process when you involve the insurance company, what they cover and what you need are not generally the same. My insurance covered the dry out process but the repair was a whole different story. Bottom line, make sure you have this discussion and are clear about the steps before you let the reps from the company leave so you dont have staples in your door frames and holes from staples in your ceiling.

Our insurance also told us they have a good relationship with Copper State so that made me feel even better.)Riley and Francisco took out the saturated items (vanity, carpet) right away. I found out Saturday that a vent cover was not placed properly on my new gas water heater when the work was done in June. I was told by a current repairman (not Copper State Home Builders) that there is an issue of carbon monoxide poisoning from the improperly installed vent. I sent an email and pictures to Copper State on Saturday. No response. I called on Monday, and was told someone would get back with me that day. No response. I called on Wednesday and was put on hold for 6 minutes. I called back and was told they were looking or my file. When I asked if they didnt have their files computerized. They said my job was long ago, (5 months ago) and they dont keep files from that long ago. The office manager was super patronizing and told me he realized I didnt understand how these things works (really?) and when I interrupted his lengthy, loud, and rude excuses, he told me he could do this the easy way or the hard way. It depended on me, and that I WOULD NOT be talking over him. And this is a service based company. Will not recommend them and will make sure that others know of our experience.UPDATE: About 5 minutes after this review was posted I got a call from said office manager who told me they found my file and the contractor would be calling to replace the vent cover. I will provide an update if that actually happens.

All I can say, is make sure you read that contract before you sign it, this company does not warranty their work. If mold is found after you’re claim is over, this company will not do anything about it. There are plenty of restoration companies in the valley area, all of them are 24hours, and the majority warranty their work. The price for a customer is typically going to be the same just because it is you’re insurance deductible. They promise a 2-4 week process, But this often turns into a 2 month process. Best advice, compare companies before going with the one that you’re plumber refers!

The condo above ours had a bunch of hidden leaks that caused a lot of damage and mold long before anyone knew there was a problem. By the time we saw water and called a plumber, the plumber immediately knew a mitigation team was needed due to the presence of a ton of mold. Copper State was there an hour later and had everything beginning to dry out within a few hours. Over the course of the next few days, the leak was found, patched, and complete drying took place. This was all quick and excellent mitigation work by Jeremy and his fellow crew members. What I didnt know, was that Copper State would be doing work for me for the next 3 months. For the next 3 months David Burbey, our project manager would help me fight tooth and nail with the HOA management company to get this bill paid. The HOA management representative was completely useless, so Dave helped me inform every adjuster, board member, neighbor, etc. on exactly what was going on, so that the board could hold a vote to force the HOA management representative to get with the program and do her 10 minutes of work. Dave spent 85 days working with me to get the bill paid, so that I wouldnt have to pay it out of my pocket because I had done nothing wrong. I just happened to purchase a unit underneath someone who thought it wasnt a big deal to let their water heater leak for years. Dave probably put in a solid 20 hours of work writing emails and talking to people on the phone just to get a bill paid that they had already done the work for.

I had two water damage repairs. One was due to a Water Heater leak and the other was a month or so later when a pipe in the wall leaked. Both damages involved the same two rooms. I do not know what I would have done with out Copper State and their employees. Their staff is out of this world. The Mitigation team was so caring and helpful, they dried out the water damage, assured me that there was no mold. The way they worked in each room you would of thought that it was their property with the care they used. I used them to repair the damage and again their staff treated the house with so much care. Their work was outstanding. Shelby Richards was the person that I worked with at Copper State and she coordinated every step, She followed up and always wanted to know if I was happy, addressed any concerns that I may have had.I recommend Copper State and really am thankful that someone took time to give me their number.

I was pretty distraught when my water heater broke and damaged some of my dry wall. Because this was my first experience with an issue of this nature, I asked around and had a friend recommend Copper State. Im so glad I listened! From the first contact I made with this company, they were patient in helping me understand the process and their work to dry out my garage/house was articulate. I initially worked with Steven and want to specifically recognize him for the way he was able to support me through this process. Because of the excellent customer service Ive received, I decided to hire to do the rebuild. Ive been working with a Project Manager named Mikayla and she has been equally as fantastic in supporting and assisting me. I highly recommend Copper State! As a follow up to my first review, my build out was completed this week and I couldn’t be happier!! A really great contractor named Marco did a phenomenal job getting my garage and kitchen back to a beautiful state; you can’t even tell there was work done! I’m so grateful and will absolutely work with this company again if needed in the future!

Right now I am waiting for a call from Copperstate. As the project manager of a sewer line replacement, they have been out of communication with myself and the contractors coming to make repairs. I am the tenant in this house and frustrated that the right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing in this repair job. If you want a smooth running job that goes quickly with the minimum of fuss and bother, get away from this company and find reviews that are consistently good, or at the least communicative. You will not find it here.

Copper State was referred to me by AM/PM plumbing. When my water heater was discovered leaking and causing mold, I called my home warranty company on Tues. Nov 26th. They had the plumbing company out that afternoon and Copper State out in the evening. Copper State was worked on the secondary damage to the walls. It required drying for 3 or more days. Actual time worked may have been about 10 hours. High quality work and Paula did a fantastic job organizing this.

I experienced a bursted pipe in my kitchen which soaked the kitchen cabinets. This happened a WEEK before I was to host thanksgiving at my house. I worked with my homeowners insurance (USAA) and they recommended Copper State Home Builders. They were at my house within 24 hours to remove the damaged cabinetry. They ripped out only what needed to be removed, and tidied up the area with a zip up plastic cover so I didnt have a gaping hole in my kitchen over Thanksgiving.Lorenzo was brought in to do the rebuild. Long story short, he used real solid wood for the rebuild even though the original toe kickers were particle board. My kitchen looks better than it was before and with BETTER materials.Their front office (Shout out to Laura, ILY) was communicative, worked flawlessly with my insurance, and did a phenomenal job not just building, but matching the stain of the new materials with my existing kitchen cabinetry.Dont use anyone else but Copper State Home Builders!

Oh my word!!! Do NOT use this company! This is the first review I have ever written but felt so compelled to do so because Copper State can NOT be a legitimate company. Long story short. We had a flood in our bathroom and within an hour our plummer came out who in turn called Copper State to look at the damage. They got to our home within two hours. They came back with fans and ripped out our tub exposing nails (very unsafe) as it was a custom tub and left our toilet in the middle of the room along with the dust and dirt. They said they could also do the renovation so we decided to use them thinking they would start in a reasonable amount of time as they told us they do everything in house. An insurance claim was filed and they came back a few days later to pick up the fans and said they would start the job. Our insurance adjuster sent them the claim information and they agreed to do the work for that amount. They even sent me the amount of what I could spend on materials and gave me places I should shop. I went to 3 of them! Week after week after week, and all they did was put us off. They would only communicate with us if I called or emailed them, often never getting a response. Well today, over 1 month later, they called to say the will not be doing the job! Are you kidding me! You couldnt tell us that a month ago! Im 60 years old and I have to say this is a first! Though I liked a couple of the guys who came out, there is something very seriously wrong with this company! If you want to enjoy your renovation, do not use this company!

My home flooded back on December 3rd. After speaking with the companys lead project manager, an emergency team arrived after 15 minutes. Yes, 15 minutes - thats faster than some law enforcement responses. Two technicians began to make assessments of the damage; which was sadly significant. And they went right to work.Later that night I was contacted by the owner, who informed me that he was sending in all of his emergency techs; bringing all hands on deck as I would say. He also informed me that he would be waiving a large portion of my deductible because I had a Purple Heart; which was a huge relief as I was standing in a water drenched home. Furthermore, because it was going to be a late night he also offered to put my wife and I into a hotel, stating he would float the bill until my insurance reimbursed him. I was astonished at such gestures - and it meant more than words can describe. My wife headed to the hotel and I stayed with the 8 technicians that had arrived. Come to find out it had been one of their biggest weeks, some of them already having a 14 hour day prior to coming to my home. Yet, every individual exceeded my standards in terms of professionalism. In fact, at midnight they were hosing down and sweeping the drywall chalk off my neighborhoods asphalt road leaving it cleaner than before they arrived. I even tried to get them to go home and get some sleep stating we had street sweepers and they refused to leave any trace of residue on the road.It has taken almost three months, four insurance adjusters, and many phone calls but my home is more beautiful than before. This company is stellar and understands insurance companies move at a snails pace. I did some research on Copper State and was astonished it was a small business. They deserve to be publicly thanked.

I was really worried when I heard my 85 year old Mother had extensive water damage coming from the master bedroom of her Condo. This company showed at my place without my permission. The plumber I used contact them without my consent. At the beginning they are super friendly and at the end they are VUlTURES!! They had me sign a document who the guy explained will make the process faster, which is a lie. I had to contact Paula the project managers so many times to find out what was the hold up. Not only that, at the end had to bring another company to do the job. I let them know I was doing that, and she finally called stating she was waiting payment from the insurance company, when I explained several times that the payment was sent directly to me. Bottom line, they sent me a final invoice of $1500 for just showing on my house unannounced and placing fans for 3 days. This people now threaten to place a lien on my house because I don’t agree paying for an amount I was never Given an estimate. The free estimate on their website is a lie. Was never provided an estimate. People who are actually removing walls and flooring are getting paid. These company who I was constantly contacting to do the job and who just placed Fans on my house are trying to take my house away. They Put A LIEN on your house. Do not use them!!!!

The slowest of the slowest. They are too friendly at first and will give you assurance that they will make the insurance pay for everything but DO NOT BE DECEIVED by their friendliness and the assurance. They are all LIES...they performed a job in our house and it was all UNACCEPTABLE:1. Told us it will take 3-4 days...almost 2 months past and still the work was not done yet until we have to move to another contractor.2. They will make an appointment with you but will not show up.3. They will not explain to you the whole details or scope of work. Pretty much all lies since they said 3-4 days but everything did not materialize. For you out there please be careful avout calling these guys...NOT RECOMMENDED. If you need some construction done let me know I can recommend you who can do it way faster and the quality at its best....

Copper State was referred by my plumber when I had a leak in my laundry room that spread to the kitchen. Company said that damage was extensive and the tile and kitchen cabinets would all need to be removed. We hired them for the remediation and the rebuild. They immediately remove the cabinets but didnt put in a temporary sink for my tenant. Ten days later, we havent heard anything from them and they have not returned several calls both to the sales guy that I was referred to and the main office of Copper State. Finally I go out the property with my insurance adjuster and all of the equipment is out, everything is dry, but there is obviously no need to remove the tile. Company still does not return phone calls. Finally, we hire another contractor to do the rebuild. A week or more later, Copper State shows up at the house expecting to do the rebuild and seemed surprised that I had hired another contractor to finish the work. Stay away!

She is an excellent asset to any customer she is assigned to for their project. Shelby is an example of what great customer service and support should be like for Copper State. She is an asset to Copper State and the company should be extremely proud to have an employee like her.I would also like to recognize Victor our project supervisor .He exemplified true professionalism in all aspects when dealing with my case.
