Drove 20 minutes to get here just for them to be closed. There is a written note on the door stating they close early due to being understaffed. Thats okay, but its 4:50 in the afternoon. The note states they close at 7:00.Hey Dollar General start paying your employees better. Start treating your staff better, maybe they will actually be open.

Understaffed to the point where it has been suspiciously shut down for days on end due to illness, when there are typically more than one staff member working on premises at a time. Often cluttered, closed for a day after the Fire Marshal shut them down for having completely blocked off several aisles that were closed for shopping. Prices on the shelves and prices at the counter a more often incorrect upon ringing up than they are correct and a manager has to fix every individual item. If youre not paying attention to prices when you get rung up at the counter, you WILL get ripped off. Under managed. Off site management simply does not care about the store.

Went today on a beautiful Saturday. Sign on door says closed at 5pm due to medical reasons.. it was 4:55pm at the time... Are you joking?

Just opened not too long ago. Nice selection will reasonable prices. If you need basic home and food items this place is a good pick.

Employees are nowhere to be found half the time bathrooms were disgusting outdated food everywhere!! Used to be such a nice store

Pretty certain theyre going out of business, no sign saying they were closed, normal hours still posted at storefront, but the store isnt open. The employees are always screwing around in the office and the store is a mess. Its too bad, because theyre very conveniently located, but its easily the worst Dollars General Ive been to.

The shelves were empty. Downloaded app to use coupons only 1 coupon worked. Cashier knew I was using app for first time. Didnt check to see if I had all coupons. Items in wrong area. $7 brushes on $1.35 slot and they wouldnt honor price. Items in same place after 5 days.Im really disappointed in Dollar General in Merrimack.

Always have what I need and the store is usually pretty well organized. Staff is always pleasant.

None of the employees are wearing masks, but all the customers are. I wouldnt mind as much, but the last time I was here she was coughing in her hand and then handing me the money. We respect them enough to wear masks in there why cant they wear one to protect us? I dont need them walking around with no mass coughing on items we might pick up. They said it is not required. How about doing it to be respectful? So done with this place, they can keep their Chinese Products.

What a fun little store! My visit here was actually my very first visit to any Dollar General in my life. What a pleasant surprise this store is! I was expecting something similar to dollar tree type items but there were many full sized named brand items for less. The best for me was seeing Christmas stuff on clearance for .25 cents or less. Beautiful wreaths, holly decorated glass tea light holders, Christmas bags, lights, boxes of ornaments, yep, .25 cents! So after making my way up to the counter with an unhealthy amount of Christmas overflow, the cashier was pleasant and happy to ring up all the items. The downfall I guess is the store is small and hard to navigate through because they are also putting out stock during the day and receiving orders at the front, like milk. Deliveries and u-boats of product make it very hard to get around things, especially up front by the registers. I think some more training is needed to help ease the clutter as to where things should be in between stocking shelves. I will visit again!

Really nice Dollar General. I have been to several all over the country and I like this store because its like a mini walmart in the sense that you can get a little of everything but most of the time they are poorly managed and gross looking on the inside and outside. Even Brand new constructions that I have seen were gross in a matter of a few months. Not this one though. This one is really nice.

Well stocked new store in a recently relocated strip mall. Which is now very attractive. Store is new version of five and dime store. Has sick-on light switches with LED lights that come when switch is turned on. Sort of a fun gift. But, the settings store is corporate owned.

The store is clean and stocked however it seems like every time I am in there the employees are just screwing around and their duties are laying unattended, such as a giant cart full of cardboard sitting in a main aisle. I continue to patronize this store because its so close to home but management needs to take a close look at how their employees represent their store and dollar general.

Never been to a Dollar general before so this was my first time there I guess its kind of like a super convenience store or a small Walmart they have a little bit of everything so I guess in a pinch you can go there and do a little bit of shopping. They have food they have hardware they have toys they have pet food they have cosmetics and shampoo

Very up set went to the store today for xmas items for 25 cents and asked her to price check a candle warmer and she said it was full price 9.95 and then to my surprise i go to the one in Nashua and its 25 cents there.I hate when the employees lie to keep the good deals for them selfs .Next time im just going to put it up so she can ring it in register so i can see instead of her hand held scanner.😤
