David was friendly and helped me solve my algae problem quickly! I recommend him for your Merced pool needs.

First of all, pool water chemistry is the easy part — the hard part of maintaining a pool is the filter and skimmer and the vacuum robot and all the netting. We needed a full service pool company because our pool had several trees nearby from our yard and our neighbors’ yard and we had been warned away from another company. David Pool Service accepted the job, but was immediately very annoying with constant text messages about every little thing. For one thing, our gate was a little tricky and had to be lifted when opened — this was clearly a problem for David, because he broke it twice and we had to replace the gate. He also tried to convince us to remove all the landscaping near the pool (which would have removed all the privacy and noise dampening) in order to make it easier to clean — that’s the whole reason why we hired a pool service! Then when our pool filter needed to be repaired, he suggested we “upgrade” to a sand filter, clearly because he wanted an easier time maintaining our superior DE filter. I regret all the time and money I wasted with this guy — it was more like having your annoying 15 year-old nephew doing the work for you than hiring a professional.

David showed up at 730am dressed professionally and got right to work, he identified the problem (pool needed a water change), checked the equipment (other pool companies stated we needed all new equipment), our equipment was in good working condition. A simple water change did the trick to get our pool back in good clean health vs 10k in pool equipment. While other companies were trying to make a buck off of us David was HONEST to a tee and saved us a boat load of money. HIGHLY RECOMMEND David to anyone.

Had to empty my pool and refill. The chemicals were way off and another company had to help things back in order. I was there when they tested the water and the levels were too elevated and not safe to swim in. Also, paid him for a year and a half and only once called him back to my property due to an infestation of water bugs which he proceeded to blame on my dog who sometimes swims in it. Told me to keep my dogs out of my pool as though he owned my house. This guy has no people skills and owes me $250 that Im having to pay to empty my pool and refill. The weekly services are too short. They are in and out in 5 minutes. No cleaning going on there. My neighbors had the same complain and got rid of them. Dont waste your money.
