I have gotten some wonderful deals at this place just have to remember to pick them up before they are returned to sell.

Apparently this location keeps a schedule like a doctors office. Make sure you are on time to pick up your items so you do not get lectured.Let me preface this review by saying that I have been doing business with the RL Auction chain for many years going back to when they were one location in Sacramento. This review is dealing specifically with the Merced affiliate and not other locations which I generally have a pleasant experience dealing with. Many of the people in the Stockton location know me by name though this was the first time I purchased something in the Merced location.The web page for the Merced location asks that you call an hour ahead of time if you have more than 10 items to pick up. Being that I had 17 items I called first thing in the morning and was told that my items would not be ready until 2:00. I did not realize this was an appointment time but nonetheless I left my house in the Stockton area with enough time that my phone said I should arrive 15 minutes early. There was road work on Highway 99 that delayed me some and I took a wrong turn when I got off of the freeway which added a few more minutes to the delay. I arrived 13 minutes late.When I got there, there was someone in line ahead of me so I had to wait for a few minutes which was no big deal. When I identified myself to the gentleman running the front counter, he immediately lectured me on being on time next time I called for a pre-pull. He said they needed to turn over the shelf space my items were occupying which I found amusing given the fact that there were shelves that appeared to be full of empty boxes and piles of stuff everywhere. I have seen people that show up late to doctors appointments get less attitude. I apologize and told him that I ran into traffic and I took a wrong turn. He said something in reply that I could not understand and proceeded to check me out and get my stuff.He became friendlier and even wished me a happy 4th of July as I was leaving. Maybe he could tell he had irritated me. Maybe it was just early in the morning or maybe there was something distracting him, but whoever I spoke to on the phone was not the most articulate and somewhat difficult to follow. He did not clearly convey this was an appointment time. Perhaps two stars is a bit harsh but given the unprofessionalism, I feel like three stars is too generous.This experience will not affect my doing business with other RL affiliates and quite frankly give I find the right deal to make the hour and a half drive to the Merced affiliate worth it, I will probably still do business with them. Hopefully management will talk to the employees about professional communication with customers. I know I would never allow one of my employees to treat my customers this way.

My husband is in love with this place, I cant get him off this site. The owner here is very cool and allows you to inspect the items before bidding. So far, everything we have bought here has been excellent and new. We have gone to several other locations and this by far is the most organized. Good job BIDRL Merced!

Customer service is extremely lacking. MostOf the items are broken and cannot be salvaged. They do not respect their customers or try to work with those who commute. Pics that are taken do not show damage. Be extremely careful when you bid!

I used to like buying from this place but after 2 purchases that have been completely unusable and owners being unwilling to refund me for a $35 dollar purchase someone who has spent over 35k at bidrl selling something thats outright broken or has wholes in it and conveniently not picturing this seems like fraud to a honest person like me but no worries ill take the loss and yes I know the policy I get it but maybe train your employees better to look for something damaged and take pictures of it not hide it in a box and not take pictures of its damage thats very visible but it starts at the owners integrity i guess. Im not mad its just the principle about it just like their not in business to lose money neither am I on obvious damage to a product, other bidrl locations have in good faith on damaged goods reimbursed me but not BIDRL MERCED, just a buyer beware if they dont take it outta the box or open its probably damaged and thats why they dont wanna take it outta the box or picture it and I live way to far to preview items, just be careful when buying from here doesnt feel good to waste hard earned money on something thats was completely obviously broken or had holes in it...ill still buy from them just not nothing that isnt labeled as new or doesnt have correct pictures out of the box 😤 so I can see that is not messed up.Just a fyi I resell somethimes and if I sell something to someone and it has a whole or damaged beyond use i make it right either by giving money back or giving a like product thats functional, Im just saying...

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY. Avoid like the plague! This is my first time to post a negative about any company. First, they would not accept my debit card as payment and then charged me a resisting fee of 69.00! They lied to me over the phone telling me since they would not accept my card they would resist the item at no charge to me. Then they turned around and charged my card the full amount. I talked with the owner and he talked it circles and denied everything and would not reverse the charge. Worst customer service I have seen in my life!
