Went in on 9-9-21. Stood at the window while others came in behind me. I saw two women working at the check in area. Both of which ignored me the entire time. I felt like I must have been invisible. They would come out to the waiting area and go around me to ask others what they needed and offered assistance to them. The folks they bypassed me to help happened to be the same skin tone as their own. I waited until they were finished helping the other folks and to my dismay, they walked back into their desk area without even acknowledging that I was there. I waited few minutes longer before I had to knock on the window glass to get some help and the attitude was as if I was bothering her. I now know what discrimination feels like.

The check-in process was quick and easy. Every employee was kind, professional, and proficient. I accidentally came in before their usually hours for drug screenings but they took me anyways! All around a great experience and I will be back if I need more lab work in the future.

I ordered my bloodwork paperwork online & took it to the Matthews location this morning. Saturday 1/9/2021. I didn’t have an appointment & was in and out in less than an hour. The lady who drew my blood was amazing! I didn’t feel the stick and the vial transfers were smooth as butter. She treated me like a long time friend. The lady at the front desk was really nice too! Keep up the great work ladies! You are appreciated!!

Ive been to this LabCorp about a dozen times over the last six months. Ive always been seen veru quickly. Even when I walked in the day before Thanksgiving without an appointment and with a line in front of me, I still only waited about 20 minutes. Theyve gotten my results to me quickly, and theyre so nice. Theyve remembered me from appointment-to-appointment and been very encouraging throughout my IVF cycles.

Being new to area and used to LabCorp in Greenville, NC I found this location easy to get to. Everyone was very helpful and since I have Spaghetti Veins, it becomes hard for a stick. All 3 times I have been there, the Lab Tech didn’t have a problem.People don’t think just how many patients they see in a day. With the Coronavirus makes things a little different. So those of you who complain about waiting times should understand this. Right now we live in a different world with the Virus.I would highly recommend this location for lab work

I wish I could give zero stars! The absolute worst. I cant comment on the actual inside of the facility bc I could never get anyone to answer the phone!! I called for two weeks straight to schedule getting blood work done for my doctor. No one ever answered the phone, I left multiple voice mails as directed by the phone system but two weeks later and no one has ever bothered to call me back. I even filed a complaint on the LabCorp site and NOTHING! How they are operating in a medical capacity is beyond me.

Terrible staff today 05/15/21. 1st time here and most likely the last.

Went today to get blood work done. I loved the check in kiosk. It was easy to use. I didnt wait long at all.

Located inside the main entrance to the hospital, just to the right through the double doors. Very professional staff, only took about 20 minutes from start to finish, would highly recommend! Do not forget your drivers license, necessary at check in!

Best draw ever by Stephanie!! I have baby veins which needs use of a butterfly needle. I barely felt the stick!! 3 vials but I couldnt feel it. By far hands down the best tech Ive ever had (and Im a frequent flyer)!!

The absolute worst staff I’ve encountered! The lady was very rude when I asked how to check in for lab work. She had me to go to the kiosk. That was fine but then she helped to register two other people that came after me. She then proceeded to call me up and told me the kiosk didn’t read my insurance card. After, handing her my card and then my paperwork she wasn’t even familiar with how to register the specific test I needed. I left without getting what I needed done. I’ll find another place to do my lab work.

I took my daughter in before school this morning to get labs drawn. Ordinarily, she doesnt do well with needles but I think this visit cured her of that. We checked in on the self service kiosk and we were seen within one minute of checking in. The phlebotomist was so kind and gentle with my daughter, she really went out of her way to make her feel comfortable. I dont ever look forward to getting stuck with a needle, but if I have to, theres no place Id rather go than LabCorp inside Matthews Medical Center.

Worth place to do your drug test, usually people are so nice in Charlotte, but this place exception. You will wait for 2 hours then stuff will show you their attitude for no reason, and they are rude.

I’ve been to the Mathews location three times in the last six months. Each time someone one remembered.. The staff is very personable and helpful. I do not remember all their names. A couple that I do remember Renee and Stephanie did an outstanding job helping me.I don’t leave many reviews but I felt the entire staff deserved a great review! ThanksAnthony

Easy to find, even though located in a hospital. Wait time was very short even though the waiting room was full, and the best part: their staff was capable enough to draw blood from my 10 week old baby, painlessly. Sharee and Monica were absolutely fantastic with the little one.

I didn’t have very high expectations coming here because of the reviews BUT it was the closest location to me so I came anyway. I didn’t make an appointment because that’s how I roll.They open at 730am, I arrived at 735ish. Checked in at the kiosk (there are 2 of them) by scanning my drivers license (make sure you bring it). This is the first time I’ve ever had tests where I paid the doctors office in advance & there was an option for that when I checked in on how I wanted to handle the bill. I had to change it from insurance to whatever the appropriate response was. Then I waited around 15 minutes.Shannon took me into the room & she was AMAZING! She had to put the paperwork I had with me into the system & set up the vials before drawing blood. Good convo & very gentle with the needle. She walked me through the instructions for the test I have to do at home too. She didn’t have to do that but she did!Don’t be scurrrrred to come here! They were great!

I needed basic fasting blood work done to prepare for my follow-up appointment with my Primary Care Physician. This LabCorp is very clean and efficient. It is very convenient for me at Matthews Novant Hospital because it is closer than my doctors office. Waiting time is reasonable or minimal. I highly recommend this LabCorp. Ample free parking.

Its worth the drive to a different location, unless you have 2+ hours to spare.

Came here for my employment prescreening drug test. Everything was going smoothly at first, the wait time wasn’t that bad either and the front desk lady seemed polite. That was until I was called to the back to take the actual test. The collector (Monica M.) was rude and made me feel very uncomfortable so much so that If I ever need to get any testing again I’d probably opt to go to another location even though this one is closest too.

Terrible service I’ve already been here an hour and still no service as of yet, the lady at the desk is telling everyone that they are short staff (which in healthcare that’s a no no) a gentleman next to me was here earlier and told to return this afternoon and would be taken back immediately, now she doesn’t remember him! Earlier an older gentleman came in barely able to walk and was told to use kiosk (clearly he didn’t know how) so he left. The level of customer service is terrible! Never again!

Worst of the worst , plainly put i would say horrible experience and above else unprofessional Colored female who was above rude and lied on multiple levels, honestly 0 stars and ill complain to corporate!!!

This is for the black lady who drew my blood , I can’t thank you enough! I hate needles so asked for a butterfly and she had no problem even tho i was getting 9 tubes of blood drawn. She made me very comfortable and I didn’t even fill a thing I was so shocked! THANK YOU for not calling my a baby and actualy caring about my fear of needles you made my day! ♥️ As for the white lady at the desk you were very rude and I waited over an hr just to learn you never checked me in!!

Bloodwork was done well and in good time after I arrived. I had a very difficult time finding the location because they have not updated their location information on Google in the two years since they have moved. This needs to be done NOW!

I called this location to ask a question about scheduling an appointment for a test ordered by a doctor. I am not so sure that this test is routine and wanted to make sure I wouldnt be wasting my time and medication by arriving to be told they cant do the test.The person who answered the phone was rude and nasty to me and basically told me to go online to schedule and didnt seem interested in assisting me at all. What happened to customer service? Why are we sending every call to a website? What makes you think that everyone even has access to a computer to do scheduling? Are you paid to help people get their labs done or what?Thankfully, I am healthy and can deal with snotty attitudes. I hate to think that people who are truly sick with terminal illnesses or other terribly painful diseases have to deal with these same attitudes.Take a minute to consider that the person on the other end of the line is a human being asking for your help.

Came in for a pre employment drug test, the staff was rude and it took forever to get a cup to pee in so I could be on my way. If you need to get anything done quickly or with reasonable service forget it this place sucks

Ive been there couple times. The lady who drew my blood was very nice and friendly. She also did really good job cuz I almost felt nothing when she drew mine. I would give her 5 stars. But the other lady at front desk was very rude and not friendly at all. She probably didnt have social skills to deal with customers either lazy or didnt like her job. I would give her only one star for that. For my blood test next time Ill try to go to another lab. Its called Quest Diagnostics where is in the same building. Let see if they have a better customer service so I dont have to go back there and deal with the grumpy rude lady at the front desk again !!!

Pretty much the standard experience of a lab to have a drug test, get checked in, wait, pee in a cup leave. Staff wasnt rude, but they werent friendly either, if I have to do more labwork ill probably go somewhere else.

Im NOT understanding whats going on with Labcorp. But for some reason Ive seen staff have African Americans redo the pre screenings drug test stating temp is not correct or not enough urine given and Thats funny how its ALWAYS an African American but I have WITNESSED Caucasians come leave a sample and be on their way. Its like Labcorp got aINTERNAL email that said RETEST all blacks. I WILL NOT EVER choose Labcorp. I will choose QUEST. NO BEFORE you GO

They only do drug screening after 1pm. So my wait was over an hour and they staff was not very friendly.

Pre-employement drugscreen.... plan on waiting FOREVER!! ..... It’s like DMV and the ER had a baby...it would be called Labcorp Matthews NC ...Pretty much same thing except your in an even smaller room wanting to punch yourself in the face. ffs

Horrible system for signing in. what is the point of a receptionist if you Have to sign in on an iPad. Waited 20 min behind an older couple that couldnt figure out the kiosk and wouldnt accept help. finally signed in and waited 45 min not a single person called back. what a waste of time.

Liars, skipped my turn, waited over 85min while the rest under 30 min, discrimination all over this staff

Places very slow unfortunately if youre going a pre-screen and coordinate drug test and you have no other options most of your companies choose LabCorp in for what reason I do not know because it takes forever says normal three to five days the last one I did took over 2 weeks is ridiculous I wouldnt go there unless I absolutely had to very disappointed

My appointment was at 1:00pm and I checked in on my phone at 12:40pm. I received a text at 1:15 saying the technician was ready to see me. I didnt provide my information until 1:40 and didnt actually go in for my appointment until 2:30pm.
