Pulled into American Drive Shaft Service Monday afternoon, was greeted by the owner, Mr. Richards with a smile and handshake. He asked how he could help, we discussed my issue ( new u-joints and balance the rear drive-shaft on my 1993 YJ). Danny, pulled my Jeep in on the spot, had me out the door in 45 minutes. Ive got a 56 Buick where almost everything is out of production. These guys were great in helping figure out how to the the front universal joint back in shape. We had to put our heads together and re-engineer things and the guys were great!

Kept my car for 3 months! They stole my money and made up a reason why my steering wasn’t working. They over charged and “fixed” or replaced things that weren’t broken on my car!! Caused further damage to my car then wouldn’t do the right thing. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

I bought a HD Tom Woods driveshaft for one of my Land Rovers, and found it vibrated at certain speeds. I took it to American Drive Shaft and they had it balanced in a hour. Excellent work and pricing.

I like to do any work on my car myself and Im sure everyone can agree that mechanics can oftentimes be sketchy, so when I brought my car in to get looked at I was skeptical.I was helped by the mechanic Walt who turned out to be a great trustworthy guy. He was very knowledgeable and was able to diagnose my issue spot on. He didnt try to over charge at all and gave me a fair estimate.I will keep going back to American Drive Shaft as long as Walt is there. Hes a mechanic you can trust.

I need my drivetrain repaired or replaced the owner there was honest and gave me sound advice on money saving options and seemed very knowledgeable about is profession. I was able to find the replacement part and the technicians there were able to weld a customizable drivetrain for my van. The price was very reasonable and I will definitely return if I need some repairs done with my drivetrain.

I got my drive shaft repaired here. They know their trade. Cheapest repair yet on my 4Runner plus it drives smoother than it ever has since I owned it. This is my new mechanic. Ignore the people bitching about bathrooms...piss before you get here!

Prices of repairs are ever climbing, mechanic wants to do everything at once rather than keep it within ones budget doing what you can when you can, if you get quoted $ 175.00 youll have to pay $300.00 or more to get it fixed, but they can fix it so if money is no object: by all mean go here.

On May 21, 2012, I went to American Drive Shaft Services because the air in my car went out. I was referred to American Drive Shaft by a coworker at my job. I asked their mechanic to conduct a diagnostic of my 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS. According to Jesse Zoe their mechanic my car had a leak. He showed me the part that needed to be replaced in order for my air to work. I told him to go ahead and replace the part. On May 26, 2012, the air in my car went out. I called Zoe and told him what happened. He told me to bring the car back to the shop so he could determine what is wrong with it. I took the car back to the shop but days later the air went out again. When I called Zoe this time he stated I needed to leave my car with him for a week in order for him to determine what is wrong with it. His solution was completely unacceptable considering this was my only means of transportation. I told the mechanic I would not be able to leave my car with him because it was not feasible. Given, the mechanic only worked after 4pm I asked him if I could bring the car to the shop so that another mechanic could look at it. He stated no because another mechanic will not go behind his work. The mechanic was not flexible at all. I had already taken my car back to the shop and the problem was not resolved. Zoe never gave me a definite answer once he worked on my car as to whether or not he could fix it. When I asked him for a refund he stated he will not give me a refund because he did work on my car. When I began to demand my money for an incomplete job he stated he did not need my business and he began to brag about having a broad clientele. He told me to take the car to any mechanic and they will tell me the same thing. My family and I had been paying $50 every two days to add Freon to my system in order to obtain some relief from the heat. The part that was replaced did not fix the problem and I am highly frustrated, disappointed, and worst of all hot. When the owners were contacted they refused to hear and help. My brother contacted the owner because he too was taking the car to the shop.NEVER TAKE YOUR CAR HERE...unless you have money to throw away.

Horrible service! They had my car for a week couldnt really diagnose the problem and the worse of all when my car was ready for pickup. They failed to let me know they left my car a mess! Blankets in the back seat water bottle in car and RATS!! Had a Field day inside!! I wouldnt recommend this place!😠

Terrible, Terrible, Terrible! The absolute worst service ever and all I had done was an emissions. The guy completely lied about the process. The emissions process was simple but after waiting in line for 45 min with only one person in front of me it was horrible. I asked him would I be done in time and he promised that I would be, but of course I was held way over the time promised because this guy wanted to make small talk and waste time talking and relaxing with a line full of people. I strongly recommend against this establishment unless there is no other alternative in GA. Would Never Go Back even if it were free for life!!!

I got a wrong size tire, but it costed me $50 here for an easy check. And they wanted me pay more than $300 to fix that simple problem. I cant image how it happened. I feel so bad.

Place is a DUMP!!!! And as such is reflective in the quality and level of service. Not quite sure how they are being licensed as the place looks like a fire trap. No waiting room, no restroom and no business from me again!!!! As an owner of a small business myself I do not understand how a place with so many strikes against it in the first place does not offer exemplary customer service. DRIVE RIGHT BY AND GO SOMEWHERE THAT DESERVES YOUR BUSINESS!!!!!!!

Did not get service at the location because the person who answered the phone had me on hold for 10 min. Said they where very busy. Tried to ask how long it would take for the repair and then he hung up me. Very bad customer service. I never got the opportunity to see if the did good work.

They fixed my old dodge 4x4 quickly and had it driving like new for a reasonable price.

Had my Tacoma center driveshaft bearing support replaced by a Toyota dealer and when I got it back yesterday it was essentially undrivable. Had so much vibration above 30mph that I wouldnt think of taking it on an interstate. Dealer said my only sure option was to replace the entire driveshaft for over $1300!!Upon recommendation of a friend I took it to American Driveshaft today and they immediately found the error the dealers mechanic had made. They replaced all three U-joints (two were defective) and dynamically balanced the driveshaft in less than 2 hours. The truck is now perfect without any vibration all the way up to 80mph (as fast as I ever drive)!The four mechanics at American Driveshaft were all competent and thoroughly explained/showed me all details of the needed work. For a total of less than $200 they did a great job and saved me over $1100 to boot! Couldnt be happier with their work and now they have a new customer plus Ive already recommended them to my daughter and a friend. Thanks guys - great job!

I havent even had any work done at this shop, but was trying to call to bring my vehicle in. I called 6 times at all different times and didnt get a single answer. You guys pay for your phones, might as well answer them.

I drove into Atlanta on the evening of July 5th to visit my brother who lives in Atlanta. Along the trip I realized a very distinct shake in my truck at 70+ MPH, and when I was hitting pot holes or bumps in the road it felt like my truck was going to shake apart. Very dangerous and I had to ride roughly 45 MPH for 100+ miles to get to Atlanta.That Saturday morning I took it to G &S auto service in Atlanta. They put it on a rack and said someone did a very shoddy job of installing a u-joint I had replaced a couple months earlier. They did not have the equipment to help me (required some specialized tools for driveshaft repair on my 2006 Chevrolet Avalanche). G&S said I definitely should not drive it home as my driveshaft was almost completely separated from the ujoint and that I would need to take it to a driveshaft specialist.I took a chance and drove it to American Driveshaft despite it being closed that Saturday. Two employees - the owner and another mechanic - were there working on a race car for their own personal use. I explained the situation (out of town and planning on leaving tomorrow) and they agreed to look at my truck.The owner - Dave - seemed genuinely concerned and wanted to get me back on the road instead of having to leave it there all week, fly into Atlanta and drive back the next weekend as I had planned. After they looked at it they found whoever replaced my u-joint (three months earlier - in Louisville where I am from) used the wrong part and basically forced the wrong part to fit my driveshaft. They didnt install the required clips that hold it in place and welded it together even though its not supposed to be welded. Very dangerous and definitely on the verge of breaking loose.The guys at American Driveshaft took my driveshaft out and completely rebuilt and balanced it for me while I waited. This is the best service I have ever experienced at an auto shop. They could have easily continued on with their plans they had already made but instead they got me together and I was able to drive my truck home. The noise / vibration I was feeling is completely gone and in fact my truck is smoother than I ever remember.Overall, this establishment is FANTASTIC and I strongly recommend anyone needing driveshaft work in the Atlanta area to take their vehicle here. Watching Dave rebuild the driveshaft reminded me of watching a blacksmith forge metal. A true master of his profession.This place is wonderful. Atlanta is lucky to have them in town.

Went to them with a drive shaft problems as diagnosed by my mobile mechanic. Turned out they found it was only my rear trailing arms that were worn. Much less costly than the drive shaft. Friendly, professional and they really know their stuff. Thanks, Cody, for the price break.
