Great place! the employees are nice and it just a great family experience.

My daughter went to the Y after school program for years and now the summer camps and she loves it. I have also used the life center and their personal trainer program and the employees are so great and always willing to help with any questions.

The YMCA Mankato offers such a great range of opportunities for families to get/keep fit and have fun together. The staff is friendly and helpful. We have been going here for about 10 years. When the kids were young, it was nice to have childcare while my husband and I exercised and now it is fun to be doing exercise classes together. The pre-school program is also WONDERFUL...allowing kids the chance to learn how to swim and do physical activity in the gym as well as learning curriculum in a fun way. The kids sports classes have a been great as well. We are thankful for this great resource in our community!

I have belonged to the Mankato Y for over 13 years now. Its a huge part of my life. Not only is it a great facility with up-to-date equipment, lots of free classes, friendly and knowledgeable staff, but its also a great place to meet like minded people. A wonderful place full of wonderful people!

I told the girls at the front desk my fiance was going to be late for the workout appointment he made. They said it was okay and they would send him on through. He arrived and they sent him home. HOW RUDE! My fiance and I kept up with our membership payments over the initial lockdown because we felt the kids programs should still be funded and this is how we are treated? Unacceptable. I think he and I are going to be looking at taking our business elsewhere.

The YMCA has changed my life! In the past 18 months I have gone to the Mankato Family YMCA almost daily to attend fitness classes, use the life center, and take my children to various activities. Everything at the YMCA is fantastic from their youth programming to the wide variety of FREE fitness classes. I have not only improved my physical health from being a YMCA member, but my mental health and social well being. Do not hesitate becoming a YMCA member, it will become your home away from home!

Wonderful facility, friendly and well-trained staff and instructors. My kids love childwatch and I love going to group classes! Only gym in town with babysitting and a pool!

We love the Y! My kids look forward to going to child watch, I love the variety of classes I can take, and being able to run the path on a beautiful day! The pool and kids area are both wonderful as well!

Not only does the Y have great classes and friendly staff, they also have a variety of weight rooms and free weights for all to use. I enjoy seeing all members of our community there - especially the smiling children!

This Y is great! Friendly staff...Clean and not overcrowded...

I was extremely excited to be accepted into the Livestrong Program at the YMCA. A program designed to get people with cancer or cancer survivors into a healthy workout routine. It was aimed at finding our thing and thriving with it in hopes to keep us moving. Fortunately, I found my thing, my motivation and began working out with my husband. Unfortunately, the YMCA did not accept this and actually came and pulled me off a treadmill during my workout saying I was sneaking my boyfriend into their gym and its not the purpose of my membership. Ive been married for 16 years, hes certainly not my boyfriend. Meanwhile, the gym was staring at my husband wondering what was going on. I discussed it with the lady and told her I was to have a family membership. After being pulled into her office AGAIN on the way out we decided to go join Fitness for $10 and have enjoyed our membership there without any issues.

AWESOME YMCA!!! A great deal to do as a family. Your children can hang out at the Pepsi Cube (pool, XBOX, TV, wall climbing, etc.) or if they are a teenager, they can exercise with you. The Les Mills BODY PUMP classes are Outstanding for men and women, regardless of what you heard, its not a synchronized aerobics class, its worth it and free. Majority of the children who are here are disciplined and the staff ensure the children are making the right choices. Ive been here for 2 years and its a breath of fresh air. A great biking/running trail right outside of the YMCA. Indoor running trail, 2 gyms, multiple style classrooms for different things (Yoga, Body Pump, HIT, TRX, etc.). The 2 pools are huge and the lap pool is excellent for a quick workout. The other pool has a nice slide and splash pad, with hot tub on the side. If you have a two week old child, dont leave them in the pool unattended, its irresponsible. Saunas and steam rooms are in the bathrooms. Separate bathroom for children under the age of 18. The Director (John Kind) enforces the rules and is very approachable with your concerns, especially if it involves the misconduct of his staff. The YMCA is fitted for all types of people and they assist with financial concerns also. Drop by, get a free day pass, and see what healthy living is all about.

Great place to workout and the group classes are always fun!

I thinks this is a good place to go hangout, play sports, and even workout theres a couple things bad about this place the lifeguards dont seem to care about the kids in the pool and the rims in the red gym are tilted so far forward its not even a joke they need to fix those problems immediately.

My wife recently joined the Livestrong program for cancer patients at the YMCA. The staff at the facility was rude and insulting to her. There are better places to work out in the area.

I stopped going after during a fitness class an older man, unprompted, walked over and threw my equiptment and then adjusted the rest for me. I complained about his behavior and was told they already knew who it was because he has gotten complaints like this before, very well known for this kind of thing. They said they talked to him, but seeing as this sounded like a regular thing he was doing I didnt trust that his behavior would actually stop from another verbal reprimanding. I did not renew my membership due to how staff handled this situation and not wanting to go back and deal with that man throwing my equiptment again. I am no longer comfortable at the Mankato YMCA.

I saw that someone posted that their child almost drowned in kitty pool several months ago and would like to mention that during this same time my daughter also would of drowned in the kitty pool if I wouldnt have gotten to her. I was sitting in an open seat on a bench 15 feet away from her and lifeguard who was 6 feet away and he didnt see her. It was scary. Hopefully, sharing this will help promote positive change within the ymca.

I thought I had a issue with missing money was bought to the security room and watched together no funny business very understanding helpful staff nice clinets love this place.

This is a great place to get in shape and stay active in a non-threatening, motivating way.

Get more parking! Its frustrating arriving for your activity 15 mins early then being 5 minutes late because you couldnt find an open parking spot. Its been an issue for at least several years.

Terrible front desk people.

The girl at the front desk has very poor customer service etiquette and should either be retrained or fired. I have been a member for a while and have taken my kids to swimming lessons weekly. She has always been very cold and ignores customers when they try to speak with her. I believe her name is Mackenzie. Today I called because they are trying to charge me more than was quoted for mini day camps. she started escalating and talking over me. I had to ask her to stop 3 times before she allowed me to speak. I am very disappointed with the employees conduct and the employees misinformation which is costing me an extra $125 because they were unable to give accurate information. I wish I could give 0 stars.

Daughter nearly drowned in the pool during swim class and the ymca director took no accountability for the negligence of their team. Not a safe place for swimming. Beware.
