After a tree fell on our house and went through our roof and ceiling during the bad storms, we immediately reached out to a water restoration company we had used in the past. We left multiple messages explaining our emergency situation but never heard back (and still havent, over a week later). So I did a google search and I am so thankful I chose to call Certi-dry! I was immediately impressed with how the receptionist seemed genuinely concerned and sympathetic to our situation and someone was here to assess the damage within a couple of hours of that call. The restoration part is now complete and the work Jim and his team did was great. We are currently waiting to hear from the team that comes out to rebuild everything but I have no doubt that they will do just as good of a job! I hope we never need these types of services again but if we do, I know who to call! I highly recommend Certi-dry!

I do not give five stars because no one is perfect. Certi-Dry done a very good job at salvaging what could be saved and tearing out and cleaning up what could not. They were on the job with in two hours of being called. They were aware we had problems with the insurance company and worked with us until it was resolved. Great work , great workers , friendly company staff. IF we ever need services like theirs again (I HOPE NOT) they will be who we call.

Not only did Certa-dry come and give us a free estimate, they were there exactly when they said they would be, ready to work with all of the correct information from their sales person. Their communication within the company is great and the personable staff that comes to your home to do the actual work was amazing! Weve worked with Certi-Dry in the past. The professionalism, care for our home, and state of mind, is the same as always... Reliable!!!A few weeks ago our upstairs bathroom overflowed. Not a whole lot of water, but enough that some found its way downstairs into the bathroom below. Not sure how bad it was we, called Certi-Dry and they came out quickly the next day. Very professional work. Everything they did was calculated from these well trained technicians. They even called in advance to make sure we were home before they came by.Upon arrival, they quickly assessed the situation, and got to work with the drying process. Our biggest concern was the tile in the upstairs bathroom. They let us know immediately that the tile was salvageable, and they made it a priority.Just a few days of fans, a dehumidifier, a warm home, (a small price to pay) and our walls were as dry as ever. They cleaned up well, leaving no trace on the floor of any work. Tyrone was especially helpful in keeping us updated on the work, and asking for permission on the big work.Ill never go anywhere else, even if I move out of state, for the quality and efficiency these guys have. Eric went up in the attic, and he was able to take pictures, and confirm that there is no mold, moisture etc up there. He followed up with me shortly after that and let me know what they found out, and sent me the link to view the pictures that they took. This is one of those places that you never want to have to call. But when you do, they know how to make everything better. Im only halfway through the process so far, the tearing the house apart to dry it after pipes burst phase, but Certi-dry has been amazing so far. They got in the same day and started drawing things out so there was no long-term damage. Communication has been great so far, And Im looking forward to how they put the place back together. Im so glad I found them, and if The worst happens to you, they are the folks to call.

Certi-Dry is absolutely fantastic and will now always recommend them for any water restoration projects. They made the entire ordeal significantly less stressful and were kind enough to work around my winter holiday schedule/vacation time during the pandemic. We have had such a wonderful experience with Certi-Dry. They were responsive, professional, great communication, and - above all else - patient with us as we figured out what was going on with insurance. We used Certi-Dry both for mitigation of flood damage and rebuild of our finished basement. They sub-contractors that they hired for dry wall, flooring, painting, and electrical were also phenomenal and I appreciated the input of the project managers assigned to our jobs. Great company - would suggest them to anyone and would happily use them again (though really really hoping we never have to!).

We had the main sewer back up into our lower level late on a Thursday night. Certi Dry responded immediately to our call the next morning and were out to assess and start working by mid morning on a Friday. Their crew was responsive to questions, careful, and easy to work with. I definitely recommend them for your mitigation and cleanup needs. Radiant heat leak of 3 hours discovered and stopped at 3 PM. Tyrone was here at 4:30 PM with crew chief James and two colleagues who immediately removed soaked carpet and mat, vacuumed surface water and installed heater, fan and dehumidifier. Water had saturated insulation in floor and was leaking through garage ceiling which was plaster painted with 1953 lead paint. Garage ceiling removed with all lead dust protections. Always kept agreed schedule, worked steadily and completed removal and drying of wooden sub floor in remarkably short time.We could not imagine better work done by James and his crew.

I had rain in my basement from a huge downpour of rain so at 1030pm I called and spoke to Dave. He was so nice and calmed me down and assured me the problem would be taken care of the next day. Recently the Milwaukee area experienced flooding - including my basement! All of the local companies were swamped (pun intended) with work. At least 3 local companies told me they would not be able to come out perhaps for days. In swooped Certi-Dry from Madison like superheroes. Their representative was in my house that evening to make an assessment and their crew was dealing with the damage by 10am the next morning! We had water in our basement from the recent storm and called Certi-dry. James and his team came within 36 hours and did a great job of removing all our carpeting, 2 feet of drywall and tiles in our finished bathroom. They were very professional, neat, polite and efficient. They came back to check on progress. The Dave, the owner and Jennifer came by to see how we were doing and Jennifer communicated promptly and often with updates or when we had questions. We were very satisfied, not only with their service and highly recommend them.

Called Certi-dry in the later afternoon due to a backup in our basement (had backup already taken care of) and they sent someone out right away to check it out. The person who showed up that day was very professional and helpful. We determined that no further damage would occur if we waited to morning to get started on the dry out. A crew showed up first thing in the morning and tore out the walls, carpet and anything that was wet and started the dry out process. Meet with a project manager who was very good and got the new flooring and paint ordered, project went smoothly and the process was great. I would for sure recommend Certi-dry as they took care of everything from the dry out, cleanup process to having the walls fixed, new flooring in our bathroom replaced, new carpet installed, and all the walls painted. They worked with our insurance company to take care of everything and we were very pleased with their work.

We had our basement flood the day before Thanksgiving and Tyrone and his Team were quick to respond. The process began within hours of finding water in the basement and his entire team was respectful, considerate, and worked diligently to get the issue addressed and under control. I am not one who normally leaves reviews, but these guys went above and beyond! I had these 2 guys painting my house outside (they are not professionals, they are morons) and they used the deep sink in my basement and forgot to turn the water off... on full blast... with rags blocking the drain ... for 40 minutes! 95% of the basement was covered in 4 inches of water, and I was freaking out! I remembered Certi-dry from when a restaurant I worked at had a fire and they had come and cleaned up and everything, so I called them and could not have been more satisfied. They had a crew out to my house outside of Madison in under 30 minutes. They were real professional and got straight to work immediately taking pictures for the insurance company than began cleaning up everything and drying the basement out. It took the crew only about an hour to get all this done. They left fans and some other equipment so the basement could continue to dry and prevent mold from growing (something I hadnt considered). They were able to talk me through not only what exactly they did and why, but are proving to be an excellent help with insurance as well. If I ever run into an issue like this one again I wont hesitate to give them a call.

A clogged pipe caused minor flooding and sewage backup in our basement, and as a storage area, the basement was full of our belongings. The Certi-Dry crew was out first thing the next morning and did a thorough job cleaning everything. Almost nothing needed to be thrown away. The best part was the speed with which the crew worked, and their professional manner. Every process was explained, and the materials they used were non-toxic to our pets. Tyrone and his team were amazing! When I had water in my basement along with many others due to extreme rain, Tyrone showed up on short notice well after his work day should have been over. He got his team there promptly, and they did a lot of difficult work professionally and smoothly. Late one night, I found water had flooded half of the finished basement. After being told by several of the national remediation companies that they couldn’t help, I Googled Madison area water damage remediation companies, and I found Certi-Dry. I’m so glad I did.I called at 9:00 PM and spoke to Brian. Brain and his team were on-site by 11:00 PM and started to tear out carpet pad and sucking up the water. They were also able to locate the source of the water and instructed me to turn off the well pump to stop the water from coming in. By 2:30 AM, they had sucked up the standing water, removed the ruined carpet pad and had put floor fans and a dehumidifier in place.Without Brian and his team’s help, the entire basement would have been flooded. Certi-Dry technicians visited every other day to ensure the basement was drying properly.Every Certi-Dry employee that visited, was professional and knowledgeable. If you ever need a remediation company, I highly recommend Certi-Dry.

Amazing service. We had a city-sewer backup that flooded our entire basement. They were there the same day and spend the next four cleaning up the house. They were up front with the work being done and costs. I was able to talk to the job manager daily to review the costs and make sure there wouldnt be any surprises. After the job when the final bill was totaled it ended up being more than the estimates we had discussed and unprompted by me Certi-Dry only billed for the discussed estimate. It isnt often you find a company with such good service and honesty. Especially when dealing with a stressful situation like a flooded basement.

We could not be more frustrated with this company. Our entire neighborhood was flooded due to a watermain break, and sewage water flooded our basement. For several hours, two feet of water stood before we were able to pump it out, and once we did there were two inches of sewage sludge left on everything that had been touched in the flood. I called several remediation companies to get quotes - Certi Dry was not the cheapest, but they were the ones who said they could get our cleanup started the fastest. Only one other house in the neighborhood booked Certi Dry - the rest booked other companies.Well, to start off with, literally every member of the crew and the team communicated different expectations, different timelines, and different cleanliness promises to us. The team lead said the job would take four to five days, the lead tech said two days, and the cleanup crew said one day and another hour. Then, the team lead told me they would clean the floods and spray down any personal belongings that could be saved (mostly plastic bins and metal boxes). However, I have spent the last two days cleaning dried sewage off of every plastic bin, metal shelf, and piece of clean material they left in our basement -- see the photo for just one of many examples.I think the most frustrating part was the ever-changing timeline. Every house on our block had their flood remediation finished in less than three days. Most of our neighbors had companies partially demo their finished basements, so you would think it would be quicker for Certi Dry to clean our unfinished one. But no. First, our team lead told us it would probably be all day Friday and most of Saturday. Friday arrives, and we stay home from work to let them in - no team appears until after noon. The team says they will come back in the morning, though, and get to work. They promise to call when they are en route. Saturday comes... and no team appears. I call at about noon, and the team lead says they arent coming until Monday. I express that the furnace and hot water heater are being replaced on Monday, and ask if this will be a problem. Brian, the team lead, says no - thats actually great! They can clean under the new appliances as they are installed! They should be there around 8.Monday arrives. I wait home from work, again, to check in with everyone. The cleaning crew doesnt come until NOON. And when they arrive, they announce that they CANNOT CLEAN BECAUSE OF THE WORKMEN DOWNSTAIRS. I admit it, I cried. I called Brian, our team lead, for an explanation - only to learn that he had gone on vacation and would not be available anymore. The job would take until Thursday now to be finished, dried, and closed out.More drama happened - with more days of crews not showing up when they were scheduled, and never hearing from them until I called or texted Certi Drys offices, and more contradictions in the original remediation services offered to me (cleaning vs. inventorying, etc.), but by that point I was totally done trusting this company. Im ashamed I spent so much more than my neighbors for much less satisfying service. When I see how much more their remediation companies did in such a short time, I am livid. I also cannot believe that I called them, let them know my concerns, was reassured that things would change - and then had the exact same problems for the rest of the project.DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY until they have sorted these problems out. I certainly did not get my moneys worth.

We discovered we had mold in our ceiling due to a water leak around our stove pipe and called Certi-Dry to remediate. Our house was built in 1914 and the original ceiling was plaster, which was covered then covered by wood paneling. When Certi-Dry took down the part of the ceiling we knew to be damaged, they discovered that the damage kept going through the ceiling. What began as an half-day project turned into a week-long endeavor to take down the entire ceiling, testing for asbestos in insulation that was discovered, and final cleanup. Connor was the lead on-site and he was very professional, very patient with all our questions, and great communicating with us. He made us feel confident in how the work was being done, which was a great relief considering how nerve-racking the situation has been. One day Connor wasnt able to be there and the lead that day, Eric (if Im not remembering wrong), was also really helpful with our questions and letting us know what has happening.

They stayed for three hours pumping out what they could and starting the drying process. Him and his staff were courteous, hard working and prompt. Theres no doubt they saved our house from thousands more in damages.We also used CertiDrys sister company, Crown Flooring, to repair and replace the damaged items in our basement. We worked with Brian from Crown Flooring who drove 45 minutes outside of Madison to meet me on my lunch hour to show me options for flooring. This type of service was common throughout the repair process and within 1.5 months, they had our basement looking better than it originally did.Last but not least, Dave Meyer, the owner of CertiDry personally stepped up when battling with our insurance agency for obtaining the payments. We were in the middle of selling a house and American Family Insurance was stalling out our payment. To speed the process up for the CUSTOMER, Dave conceded to AmFam to make sure we were paid on time. His loyalty to us was very impressive and putting the people over profit is something that should be recognized and rewarded. So, to say the least, I give CertiDry my highest recommendation. We live in Reedsburg and when we came home from work on a Wednesday afternoon we discovered that during the day our sump pump failed.As a result of this we had about 2 inches of water covering our basement floor. We were able to get our pump running again but were left with a mess to clean up.
