I miss Duane Beckett. He was the reason I used Beckett Tax for filing my taxes for the last 8 years. This is not the same company. His nephew took it over, now no one answers the phones EVER. Its impersonal and you will not feel like a valued customer. I actually went to the office just so I could make an appointment because no one returns calls. The office was remodeled, tons of young 20 something staff hanging out. So why couldnt they call back or even answer the phone?COVID , the reason for the tax preparer working remotely, but for the amount of money they are charging for the services (which is much more than I used to pay Duane who I got face to face contact from a funny sweet kind man who gave way better customer service). I think Ill forgo this company in the future.

First year using them, blown away by their service, friendliness, and how welcoming their staff is. I felt like I was visiting friends, not doing some type business transaction. Wow! Support local, support a business that actually cares about you, go to Breckett for you tax and accounting needs.

It’s a shame Duane is not still the owner. Tylor was not wearing a mask so obviously he doesn’t care about his clients. I felt this business scammed me and tried to blame it on me. They no showed on me and demanded money from me. So much for helping local business. Tylor threatened me. I should have not had to pay a $60 fee for your no show. I wouldnt return here anyway. Now I have $60 less to pay a bill or eat with while you and your staff are probably driving NEW luxury vehicles and eating at fancy restaurants.

Always Great Service. When I first moved to the US, my wife and I needed some advice on taxes and an ITIN as Im an immigrant. Duane was awesome and helpful and very affordable. Even though Duane is now retired and sold the business, everyone there is super helpful and compared to many places around town, still very affordable.

Bethany is so friendly and always ask if there are changes. They remodeled and has more privacy. Most important fees are really reasonable. HIGHLY recommend.

Duane Beckett and his staff have done my federal and state income tax returns for nearly 10 years. He was referred to me by a business colleague. My wife and I will typically go to his office and over the last few years, he is the one who has been preparing our taxes. Because its done very quick and efficiently. (however I do spend a fair amount of time organizing information so each visit is about an hour) each visit last about an hour.He prepares and files the taxes electronically. Year after year, most of the forms are populated already and he makes any changes necessary. By the time we leave both federal and state income taxes are filed. Over the years we have never had any audit or revision for taxes. Typically if any refund is due, the federal refund arrives within a week and the state within two weeks.Duane and his staff are both efficient and friendly. Theyre very knowledgeable. The fees for filing state and federal taxes are more than reasonable. He is highly recommended.

The reviews for Beckett dont lie. A friend of mine referred me to Duane Beckett for a second opinion on my personal and business taxes after my previous accountant told me that I owed an unbelievable amount of income tax for my second year in business. I thought that maybe I just didnt plan things right, or that there was something else going on. I know how busy accountants can be throughout the year, and so I wasnt expecting to get in so quick. I called, mentioned my situation and the person who referred me, and had an appointment set up with Duane for the next day. Within 5 minutes of speaking with him, I had a hunch that I made the right decision. After going over everything, Duane was able to find one big mistake that my previous accountant made, as well as a couple of deductions that were missed as well. By the time our 90 minute meeting was over, I knew I had found the right fit. Duane is very easy to speak to, and with his 25 years of experience as a CPA, he is extremely knowledgeable and a pro at navigating the tax world. I could tell that he really just wants to help people. And within the past week, I found out that I know about a dozen people who get their taxes done at Beckett. I cant recommend them enough. (Remember though, accountants are very busy and sometimes arent able to take on every person who calls them. Be persistent and hopefully they will be able to take you on as a client) Thank you so much!It gets better: I called today to ask Duane a question but Gary answered. I have been going to Beckett Tax for a couple years now and absolutely love it. I highly recommend for anyone trying to find the perfect place to file their taxes with! They are extremely reasonable with pricing. Amazing hours including weekend hours for people who work a lot during the week. I referred a couple people this last season who didn’t think they’d get anything back and have to pay in because of student loans and they qualified to get a lot of money back! I went to Beckett by chance in regards to a letter from IRS. Thats when i met with Tylor. My interactions have been with Tylor so far, and we are impressed with him. As a new independent contractor (working remotely for a company in Canada), I was a bit overwhelmed in figuring out my quarterly estimated taxes. My second year of getting taxes done here. Used to use Turbo Tax but I found that it always seemed to take a long time. 2-4 hrs. And there were a lot of tax questions I simply didn’t understand. So, I guessed on a few things. Decided last year to try an actual tax professional and am very happy I did. Takes about 30-40 minutes, mostly cause we asked quite a few questions. Much more confident in having an accurate, properly done tax return. Bethany is great, definitely recommend and we will be going back next year.

After 5 years of doing taxes on my own, I no longer had time to do them on my own. I took them to Beckett tax on a Saturday, and I got a call first thing Monday with all my questions answered.Beckett is friendly, local, and very thorough with all of our tax needs and finances. The cost wasn’t very expensive even though I had to file for two different states. Heidi was very helpful even though my situation resulted in me having to file an extension due to mistakes made in 2018 at another tax tax.

They are always doing their best to find all the credits you can get. Very kind, friendly and respectful with me. Its been several years that i get my tax return with them and every year and happy to go back again.

Duane is the man, and his folks RULE. I had some state tax problems because Im tax-stupid. He fought for me, and solved all my problems super simply. I go to him every year now, and partly just to hang out with the guy and trade stories. I used to hate tax time. Duane gets it done, and its fun. Weird but true.

I needed help preparing a decedent estate tax return. I called to inquire about retaining their services. Was told Duane was only person with proper experience to to speak with. Was told later that he was far to busy to speak with me and turned me away. To their credit, they did call back quickly and my rejection was prompt and courteous. This is July which is typically a slow season for tax preparation so possibly doing a bit of cherry picking or felt unsure of ability to do return. Most of the reviews seem to be about pretty simple returns so if you have anything more complicated you may want to consider looking elsewhere.

I really appreciate that we have the same person every year and that our taxes are prepared on the spot with no waiting.

Wow! What a gem of a place. The place that formerly did my taxes charged me $40 more, made me drop off my info, then go back to sign and get my stuff, and would only take checks or cash. Not Beckett: got the taxes done in one visit with a credit card, and I participated, so now I have more information that will help me prepare for the future. I didnt have all my stuff with me, so Katie went on line, figured out how to get it, and patiently waited to get what was needed.
