The place was so esthetically pleasing and wonderful, everyone was so kind and helpful.... I useda girl by the name of Rose, she was so funny and professional, she made me feel at ease and when we were done she gave me so many praises about how beautiful I was, I felt so good when I was done ... this place deserves more than 5 stars!!!!!

I have been going to RZ for eight years. It is a luxurious experience every time. The towels are hot, the hair washing area is darkened, and all of the stylists are very talented. I have never got a bad haircut their and some of my best haircuts have been there. You can book stylists by level, the level one pricing is pretty reasonable, and the level one stylists are above average. They just havent been with the company long. I 100% recommend RZ to any woman. I dont know how well or often they cut guy hair.

The finest hair products are available at your point of service and for retail purchases. A spa with massage, nails and facial treatments is first class. Book in advance as appointments are in high demand. There are different level stylists with variable service fee levels. The more experienced stylists receive higher fees for services. This is a no tipping salon. That is a great feature for many folks. Free coffee, tea, bottled water also a nice extra. The environment is classy and clean. Service is outstanding. This is the best salon in Madison and one of the top 100 salons in the USA.

Ashley Hebgen has been my stylist for over four years now, and Im so happy with her cuts and color that Ive told her she can never leave RZ! I have very fine hair which other salons have found difficult to work with, plus an unusual strawberry brown hair color - Ashley has nailed it every time. Shes so great about following through on all my style changes, too; she communicates well and always listens to find out what Id like at each session.

I am a style-resistant middle-aged dude with a receding hairline, and I can tell you that the one monthly expense that keeps me feeling like I belong in the professional class is my haircut with Danielle. Arati cut my hair. My hair was outgrown, thick and shapeless. She gave me a really cute cut that looks nice without doing anything to it. I did make another appointment with her for a wave to add a little body to the cute cut. The cut was more expensive than past haircuts at other salons, but this cut was worth it!

Alexia Dalton has been my hairdresser for 10+ years. She is creative and very knowledgeable . Her cuts maintain their shape over a 5 week period and look fabulous. I receive compliments on my color and style. If you like a little sass she will help you with that too.

Get a massage from Erin. I have had a number of masseurs and she is the best. She has prefect pressure (I prefer the firm side but she will adjust to your request). Every time I leave in a pure state of bliss.Oh, and RZ is an overall nice salon. They have separate waiting room for spa services and it is soothing with a beautiful fish tank.

I got my hair cut here and this place is amazing in every regard - quality, staff, atmosphere, and pricing. Since its a spa and a salon, you get some nice spa-like touches while getting your hair done - like a head massage, warm towels, and relaxing ambiance. Abby did an amazing job with my hair and gave me some great advice in answer to all my questions. The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming, and they give you a welcome bag for new customers with little product samples. They dont accept tips so the prices on the website are what you pay, very reasonable for the quality. I was looking for a place I could trust to do my hair before my wedding and can definitely say this is the one.

I have used this salon for the majority of my hair cuts since the 80s. The stylists have always listened carefully to my concerns with my heavy straight hair and have come up with unique ways to accomplish what I want to do with my hair. The dimmed-room hair wash with scalp massage is a regular part of the haircut routine and is something I look forward to- very relaxing.

I used to loved RZ and was willing to pay more for the exceptional service and quality received. Very, very disappointed that many of the stylists that have been at RZ for years are no longer working there. New owner doesnt seem to care that clients are attached to their stylists and thinks you can randomly assign anyone to do peoples hair! If any of you are looking for Crystal, she is now at Artison Hair Salon in Middleton.

I use to work there, right after my cosmetology schooling. In order to work there as a stylist, you have to shadow an employee for a year. The stylist I shadowed was named Judy. She was the most arrogant stylist I have ever seen. She would berate me in front of her clients. And she would wait to yell at me, until other people were around. I do not recommend any new, out of cosmetology school to work there. Hair services were fine, but, not worth the money.

I only wish I could give negative 5 stars. I had the worst experience Ive ever had there with both a simple cut and color. Once the person I initially saw left, color was first underdone, then, on the re-do, resulted in magenta spots! It was supposed to be brown w/highlights. This was from a master level person. It took no less than 5 return visits to correct it, and that could never be fully completed; it was necessary to wait for it to grow out. Then, Ashley Hebgen completely mangled a simple cut, when she was provided detailed instructions for and a picture of the correct cut. When I confronted the store manager about this, her response was to blame me, as the messenger. This was the most unprofessional experience Ive had in 55 years of haircuts. STAY AWAY!!

RZ does not support customers with special needs. Not relating physical service. Yet, with people who have medical disabilities, and if you are unable to make appts due to medical issues and they have your credit card, you can count on being charged for the full service....even tho you did call and cancel the appt and even within 24hrs notice.Great stylists....bad business management for anyone with disabilities.
