Terrible customer experience and terible nails.My niece and I made an appointment for acrylic full sets. I showed the nail technician my reference photos and she said no problem. We were about 5 minues late but the 2 attendants finishing up another set of customers as we picked our colors.While she started working on my nails she skiped my cuticles and two more people with appointments arrived. At this point there were 6 customers and 2 people working. When it came time to do my nail art, it turned out she was not capable of the design I showed her. It was clear that my services where rushed and sloppy.

Came here to get mt nails done for my birthday. I showed a picture of the nails I wanted they were matte black with spiders and spider webs. They gave me glossy blue nails instead of matte black and didnt look like the pictures I was unhappy and asked to just get different polish since they couldnt give me what I wanted they wanted to charge me an extra 25 dollars to repaint a solid pini color. I left unhappy and they did nothing to satisfy the situation. I wont be back for the fill!!!!

Have searched for a salon that is top notch and I have found it! I absolutely love the work here. The salon was super busy but the staff dont neglect me. I came on the Saturday afternoon. She did the exact design based off the picture I showed her! And did very careful for me. The atmosphere is inviting. Im super happy that I come here. The products is brand name nail products and they have parking lots. The price is very right. Im satisfied with their job

Love this place!!! All the services were on point. My favorite was the pedicure they took their time and did it the right way. My next favorite service was my eyebrows theyve never looked so good. My acrylic fill was done quickly and flawlessly, as a bonus they had glow in the dark acrylic.

Highly recommend. Julie at KLC has been doing my nails for the last year or so. She is incredibly talented and FAST!! My nails always look amazing--I usually get a pink and white overlay with some kind of different or glittery element.This is also one of the very few places in the area where you can get glitter as an overlay. I love overlay nails because I dont like tips and I like how strong overlays are. Most places in the area do NOT have glitter as an option for overlay. KLC has tons and tons of glitter overlay options.

Was very pleased to come because some reviews have decided to take the opportunity because this is the only place to open late at night. Im glad I took that opportunity. I walked in and was greeted by the owner who took me on foot - no problem. The conversation was great. I quickly got water to drink. I usually get cuts from my manicurist but she didnt cut me once. KLC is incredible! I showed her a picture of what I had in my mind and she did exactly that. My nails are in perfect shape and for the first time I made acrylic pigments and loved it. She was quick and efficient as well as attention to detail. I will never go anywhere else! If you need your manicure there! Great! Will come back from now on!

I have been here for almost 5 years. When I found it, I didnt want to go anywhere else and when I moved to Madison, I tried to go elsewhere for convenience, but as everyone knows: convenience = / = quality. I love the store staff because they are all so sweet and talented. Every time I walked in, I felt like I was sitting with my family. They have manicure for all my special events, weddings, birthdays, parties, business events. I still drive 35 minutes every few weeks to see her and make her work wonders. Highly recommended !!

Personally I made a appointment last min which was totally my fault but they got me in I waited 30 min for a hard wax eyebrow waxing appointment and they told me since I had to wait so long it would be free. Worth the wait! My eyebrows have never looked better I will definitely be returning!!

I came in at 3pm, not one customer there. A lady greeted me and i let her know I would like a full set with dip nails. She had me pick out a color, and went off to get the color while talking to a coworker that had come out of the back. after a few minutes of trying to find my color, she takes me to sit down. A few more minutes go by and the guy asks if I wanted a soda. By this time I notice the lady is on the phone, which i think is no big deal, until she walks over to me and hands me the phone - and says nothing. I say hello, and a guy says so you are here to get a manicure. I tell him yes, that is what i told the lady. he proceed to tells me that he is picking up his kid and would not be able to do my nails until 4pm. I hang up and give the phone to the lady who says ok see you at 4pm Then. I did not go back, nor will I. If the lady that was there was unable to do nails she could have just said that. I dont understand why you would have a customer wait 10+ min when you have no one else there and have THEM talk on your phone. Very unprofessional.

This place really deserves more than 5 stars, but thats all Im allowed to give on here. First off, BEAUTIFUL salon. Hands down most beautiful nail salon Ive ever been to. Brand new, modern, beautiful lighting. Very reasonably priced too! I had a fill with gel coat, pedicure with gel coat, and a wax and it was just $95. My nails and toes look PERFECT. And the wax lady really knew what she was doing. They have this roller thing that the wax comes out of...Ive never seen it before. Its like basically a big ball point pen that wax comes out of and there are different sizes depending on what size area youre waxing. Makes it so you can really easily control where the wax goes. I cant say enough good things about this place. I was very happy with my visit!

The girls are very professional and are really good at sensing my mood. I showed them a photo of what I want and they did it! Very happy with the results of my nails. Arguably the best nail place in Madison. Ask for Kevin! Literally did my nails better than I wanted in the first place, and they were super nice and funny.

Every time I go, they are polite, and friendly. They always help me decide what color would match my skin tone best. I always leave satisfied and happy!! I dont usually have to wait too long because I always make an appointment. And dont get me started on their pedicures!! they soak your feet in this warm wax that makes them really soft.. and they massage your legs its amazing.

I went there last week and got my nails done. Ive been here a few times and loved it but the last time I went there they had new people I havent seen before. They were nice and respectful but the acrylic were uneven and I wanted matte not a shine finish. They didnt cut my cuticles at all and I was in and out with 45 minutes to an hour. For the price. Of 50.00 is high price for the the quality I got from the nails. I mostly do my nails at home just for this reason. Over price with low quality and not what you want.

Just recently started going here. And was glad I did. They were so nice and attentive. They reshaped and made my nails have a more natural look, l love them! Super reasonable price! Its definately worth your time and repeat business! I am thrilled to be writing this review!

Went to KLC Nails and Spa when I wanted to get a pedicure and my usual salon was closed. The owner, Son N and his wife were extremely nice. Son did an excellent job with my pedicure. I love that they used warm paraffin to soften my feet. Great experience. Very relaxing! I will be back again.

After moving into the area and trying to find my go-to with a few spots, this is the most welcoming place. They gave me a bottle of water and the woman who did my gel manicure did a great job. I get compliments on my nails by all my friends and family. Believe me. . . you will not be disappointed.

Sold twice in the last couple of years. The original owner Charlie and his wife were great. Things have downhill since. The last time I asked for something to be done one way and the guys response was “I’m doing the service and this is the way I do it.” Haven’t been back.

Son made me feel so welcomed and took the time to get to know me and my nail preferences during my first visit. He continually checked in to ensure I was happy with his work throughout the process and at the end. The salon is very clean and well kept. Very reasonable prices for the quality work they do. I was pleased. They did exactly what I asked and didnt upsell me. They did really nice job on my nails with a nice massage and lotion. Nope they didnt do the parrafin wax, but then the price was right and I didnt have to wait forever. Owner greets everyone and does tend to work on multiple people, but if you are a business owner yourself you understand that is appropriate, much like a restaurant owner going around the tables and asking how their meals are. I would go again in a heartbeat. BTW, my first time here was a treat from my daughter to me for my birthday.

Honestly sooo in love with this place! I havent been disappointed how fast they work and how they actually measure out all my nails to make sure they are the same length. The price was definitely worth the quality of the nails. I seriously recommend this place to anyone who wants a high quality nail job.

I went here to relax and have fun. The person that did my pedicure cut off a large hunk of the back of my toe and couldn’t get it to stop bleeding. Then kept sticking my foot back in the water making it hurt even worse. This is after I was like, no, no more water please. When he went to check me out and said he’d take $10 off and I questioned him about it saying that I didn’t think I should have to pay anything, he laughed at me! Never offered me a bandaid or antibiotic ointment. Just wanted his money!

I have been to this salon quite a few times in the past few years, and they have done an OK job. Unfortunately, today will be my LAST. The owner of this salon is money hungry, and is not interested in backing up her work. I have been getting my nails done for 20 years and have never once complained about what it costs, I get what I want and I pay for it without question. I just got my nails done under a week ago at this shop, and the shellac polish peeled off of my acrylic nail...literally a 5 minute fix. I drove 30 MINUTES because I live on the east side to have them fix the paint on one nail...ONE NAIL! She told me I had to come back in 4 hours! I offered to wait and get in between clients, and she declined. This has always been the case, and enough is enough! She nickels and dimes people to the point where you won’t come back. Awful service and way to do business. I will NEVER come back to this shop, I would do my nails myself before I ever step foot in their again. Witch!

Loved my full set from Julie. Shes friendly and efficient. I always get exactly what i want and dont have to wait for hours or have to pay an arm and leg for a great service. I drive all the way from the east side for the best nails in Madison.

I drove about an hour to get here only because it had a good google rating. My pedicure went good but when they went to do my nails the lady did not do them the way my picture on my phone showed and when I got home my nail polish on my fake nails started peeling off along with the glitter i had on them. When I called to complain they acted like they never knew me or remembered me when I was there less than 24 hours ago.

This is the only nail salon in Madison that gives me a perfect SNS manicure. I moved to Madison and it was a very difficult time to get a proper foundation. I only do SNS, but the other nail salons I tried here at KLC Nails used cheaper dough system products mixed with SNS powder, and they always gave me a bumpy foundation. If I pay to finish my nails, I want it to look smooth and flawless. I have been very pleased with KLC Nails in two different manicuring technologies and I will only come here from now. I would recommend to all my friends about this place.

Today me, my sister and mom decided to go get are nails done. Someone recommended this new shop to me 🚮🎎KLC Nails & Spa. 🃏🚮So we decided to give it a try today. We went and the lady told us to come back around 12pm. We had no problem with that because we had other rounds to make. She starts are nails and I can see this lady does a step or two for me then goes to my sister and does a couple steps for her and then goes to my mom and does the same thing. My sister and I are getting gel nails while my mom is getting a pedicure.😒🤨But everyone else in the shop who happens to not look like us has one person attending to them until they are all done. She is also rushing us every time she asks a question about what we want there is a lot of attitude in her tone and body language. A Caucasian lady then comes in the shop and while everyone in the shop is busy the lady already going from me my mother and sister gets the lady started with her pedicure. I then ask her so will u be going back and forth the whole time between me and my sisters full set to my mom and the lady’s pedicures. She says “oh honey it’s okay 1pm you will be done okay?” I say no thanks please remove my nails. She raises her voice at me and tells me she will charge me $20 to take it off (below you can see that a soak off is $12) and also grabs my phone and puts it in her armpit while saying “YOU PAY”! 🤬🤯I tell her ma’am please put my property down and take the nails off. She continues to yell at me about paying and goes lock my phone in a draw where she was doing my nails. I then tell her I never told you I will not pay for my nails I need u to take it off first then I will pay and give me back my property. She grabs a bowl filled with what I’m guessing is acetone and puts it in-front of me and says “take off”. This is after her other colleagues where yelling at her to just take my nails off for me. She then slams my phone back ⬇️⬇️on the table and goes to my sister and does her nails. While she is doing her nails she says to my sister “She cost me more time because taking off nails take longer and I don’t like” My sister says so would you want me to not come back and she says “Well I mean yeah, that’s why I don’t like you people in my shop” 🤭😰She finishes everything (very bad job) then my mom was going to pay her nails and I was going to take care of me and my sisters nails. My mom made this very clear and she goes and charges my mom the whole cost. We leave and go so upset and displeased. My mom later says “Where is my card”? We searched the whole car didn’t find the card, so my mom goes ahead and cancels the card. We call the nail shop to just see if maybe it was there. I had a feeling the whole time the lady purposely kept my moms card because how she treated me and made it seem like I wouldn’t pay for the work she did do. We call and sure enough it is there. My mom goes to pick the card up and it was locked in a draw and the guy took it and gave to my mom. 😑😑🙄 As we are getting ready to leave two other beautiful black ladies came to the shop she says “ you two wait 30 minutes” 😤😭 As real as the air I breathe an older white lady came in after the two ladies, this Asian lady said “ pedicure no wait you pick color” 😵😵😵🤐. The black ladies also wanted pedicures why should they wait and have you service the white lady before them?

KLC nails is the best! Charlie and Lee are amazingly talented and some of the nicest people you will meet. They ALWAYS remember your name and what you like. Their new location on Odana is beautiful and clean and BIG. You never have to wait more then 10min on a walk in (of course no wait if you make an apt!) KLC nails is the only place I get my nails done.

I really do NOT like this place. #1 Staff is rushing and terrible customer service ALWAYS nagging you about paying for more services #2 When doing my nails, she literally had me cringing because of how terribly harsh she was on my nails. My cuticles were literally bleeding and hurt. THEY WERE NOT LIKE THAT BEFORE COMING. And I told her before she started that my nails are thinner so do not file them down too much. She had my nails burning and wasnt listening to what I was saying. Paid NO attention to the hurtful expressions on my face. Never been to a more painful salon than this #3 I got gel fill and literally after I left the salon it looks like within a day or two Ill need another fill. Obviously they dont know what theyre doing OR theyre trying to file them down so you can come in sooner and waste more of your money on them! End of story I hate this salon and wont be back. Greedy, selfish owners.

Dont go here! The man who did my mani pedi spent a lot time walking to the desk to check his email while I waited. And waited. He did a fair amount of admiring of himself in the mirror as he danced to the Vietnamese video. (The video was nice, though!) He did the manicure in about 2 minutes today as I was sitting in the pedicure chair, and its already peeling. He made a phone call and left the shop while my nails were drying and never came back.The woman was very apologetic but I wont be back.

The woman who did my nails was quick, friendly and did a nice job. The overall look has kind of gotten a little dowdy since new ownership took over but services are still good.

I went to KLC Nails & Spa for a mani/pedi today. Love, love, love these ladies! The staff were very busy but still very polite. They care about their clients. And also gave me tips on how to keep them healthy. I enjoy going to this salon. I would definitely recommend this place.

I went to get my nails done because I was treating myself. staff is SUPER nice, they offered us drinks and were slow enough that my friend could sit next to me as I got them done. I had asked for black matte acrylic almond shaped gel set. they didnt trim my cuticles or use any lotion or oil and did multiple layers of the gel polish that was not turned matte at all, which is where my issues come into play. He did so many layers and did not let them sit long enough under the light to set properly which made them look super bumpy with pockets under the dry layer of wet gel polish, so what ended up happening later that night when I went to work was the peeling and because the under layers were not dry I had a mess of black polish covering my hands*super embarrassing to have happen during work* as soon as I got home I peeled away the gel polish that was just completely falling off at that point and noticed how bumpy the actual acrylic nails were so I sanded alot of it away before I was happy with the shape. Due to the fact that my cuticles where not trimmed the acrylic was much further away from where the acrylic should have started at the base of the nail and there was a large lump on each nail that looked like a cliff of blobby hard acrylic that made it look very apparent that they were fake nails *maybe thats just me but I like my nails to look like they might be really mine and not like I went to get them done* so I sanded alot of the top off to get them to blend into my actual nails at the base. The shape of the nails where great at the ends, just what I asked for. He was not rough at all. the only thing that hurt was when he used a drill to cut to far into my thumbs cuticle that was in the way in just in the one spot that still really hurts now. after peeling off the messy gel polish and sanding them down for maybe an hour I repainted them with my own black polish, they look much much better. I honestly usually just get press ons at sallys and paint my own but they pop off so easily and I really needed to be pampered and I got that but I also had to fix them. I really should have called and talk to them but my anxiety shot up and I just wanted to fix them myself but I am sure if I went in to get them fixed they would have been more than accommodating because they were so nice.

5 stars got acrylic gell nails so many compliments and they last forever

Been to this shop 3 times, service is great always friendly but my nails break every time. I work in an office typing on a keyboard should not break my nails!!!!!!!!! Last time I left I had a nail break within 30 minutes of just everyday activities, repaired for free now another nail is about to break! I will never go back

Paid $50 for a dip manicure that didn’t include a hand massage or paraffin. My service provider answered 2 personal calls and 1 for the salon while doing my nails. Left me to help a walk in because nobody else was there to do so. The place was unorganized and dirty. My service provider told me stories about past guests who complained about pricing and the way their nails turned out with annoyance. Now I understand why people were unhappy! My nails started to peel and lift after a little over a week. VERY disappointing. Won’t be back, won’t be recommending this place to anyone.

I first came to KLC Nails & Spa because I saw my Coworker’s manicure and knew I wanted to copy it. She said she went to KLC Nails & Spa, and I knew I had to check it out. I called ahead, but they were able to take me on the same day for a shellac manicure. I was lucky enough to have she herself do my shellac manicure and it was absolutely perfect. She is incredibly sweet, adeptly skilled, and her attention to detail impeccable. I’ve continued to go back to KLC Nails & Spa, and I’ve noticed a discrepancy in the quality of manicure I get if salon else does my nails. Ohhh my manicures are very beautiful. I make sure that this place is the best friend on me for the next time.

My first experience here was great! I had Son do my nails and his customer service was great! Tonight’s service was horrible. His wife was rude and I felt rushed, so rushed that I didn’t care if my nails were still wet!! She was constantly stopping in the middle of “my” service to make unnecessary phone calls not once, not twice but three times! Not to mention her child was running around everywhere. He accidentally opened some powder stuff and she smacked him in the hand. I will never return! I will take my money else where!!!!!!

The service was so bad it has forced me to write a review for the first time. The nail technician was rude the entire time. She was rushing me, while checking over her shoulder every 2 second to see if the black women drying her nails was going to leave without paying. She even cut my nails a little shorter then I wanted then told me they would look better longer.. She then pushed me into a pedicure I wasn’t going to get, because of her attitude. Then tried rushing me out while I was drying my nail polish. The guy who did my pedicure had to stop her and told me there’s no rush and I can wait. I had to leave in flip flops, in the snow because I was so uncomfortable. Before leaving I told the man that I would never be coming back, due to how rude she was. He apologized and looked frustrated with her, since that’s taking money from his pocket because he did a good job. I now see why nobody is ever in there when I drive passed on my way from work. I thought maybe it was the time of day and they weren’t busy, but no it’s because of the service. I also had to go to A+ Nails to get my nails fixed. It cost me 25$ extra but it was worth it.

Clean, usual price for pedicure. Lady was in a speed race, nipped my skin, scraped beyond the dermis with the cheese grater. I pulled away no less than 3 times due to her hurting me. Im sure the other folks who work there are not in such a hurry- so go to them. Not relaxing at all.

I have seen several posts on social media regarding the poor service from this place. They received poorly done nails and awful service just because of THE COLOR OF THEIR SKIN. It’s 2018, why is this even up for debate? Terrible service, there are soooo many other places that will do a way better job and treat every customer with the same care.

The ladies who helped me were very sweet! I was here on a trip from out of state and enjoyed coming here to get pampered. They were perfectionists and did a great French pedi and shellac mani, took their time, very very detailed and attentive. Well ventilated and clean place.

Best mani-pedi ever from KLC Nails!I made a reservation and did not have to wait. They made me a fresh cup of coffee and I was very comfy in the new massage chair. Using top line products, My nail techs was friendly, professional and skilled. My feet felt and looked great when he finished. The manicure was also excellent and he really took his time. I learned about a new type of overlay for my natural nails. He helped me out and his was so sweet and helpful. I even got a glass of wine while getting my nails done. Everyone was so helpful. KLC Nails ambience was lovely and relaxing and my visit did the trick of making me feel pampered. I will definitely be back.

I had been here and Charlie started with me, then said he had to leave in the middle of it, for some reason and Lee finished. Lee is fantastic! Set an appoinment with her the next time and Charlie set me up with Linda. I explained I asked for Lee, and Charlie just ignored me. I had Linda do my nails and they were awful. Charlie can be nice, but sometimes arrogant. Not impressed.

This place is terrible, I was going to them for a couple of months and then usually they are rushing have their own kids running around, and the lady forgot to put a top coat on my pedicure, then I got a fill and had 3 nails break within the first week of the fill I went back twice to get them fixed then my nail polish started wearing off I called them and they said come in we fix it but they wouldnt change the nail polish which kept chipping they wanted me to pay $20 to get a color change. and $30 for a fill is a little much! when a new set cost $35 .

Excellent work everytime. My gel manacure has not chipped after three weeks. Small language barrier but its not an issue because the employees know what you need. Heading there today. Out of way really, but worth it. More than fair pricing.

If could give zero stars, I would! They are horrible at doing nails and very rude. Asked to have my nails taken off because they looked so bad and the lady got mad, threw the acetone on the table and told me to take them off myself.

There is really no point in making an appointment as you have to sit for quite a while before getting helped. on 4 of my fingers, they were bleeding from them filing so much near the end of my nail. None of them speak English very well so it was very hard to explain what I wanted. I walked out with acrylic tips, which I did not want. I told them at least 3 times what I wanted and finally just gave up. Friendly people, but I do not think I will be going back

Very unprofessional the lady here is very rude to her customers. I had a yound boy do my pedicure he didnt knoelw what to do. He was lost. I refuse there service n the lady got mad n walk off. I would never go here again.

Their service is the worst!! My sister got her nails done by the lady working there and she was very rude, messed up her design and when my sister confronted her about it she wasn’t trying to fix it!! Wouldn’t recommend anyone going here

I have been to several nail salons at various malls and strip malls and I have to say this is by far the best nail salon Ive ever been to. The place is emaculate and its obvious they take pride in their every day operations. There is absolutely no odor, (like you get when walking past one in the mall), its clean and the most obvious thing I experienced is that they dont share nail tools. Brand new nail files and buffers. I love that! Ive only had the gel acrylic nails twice. My first experience (at the mall) with getting a color change was them using a dremel to remove the old polish. I could see layers of my nails being dremeled away which made my nails sensitive afterwards. Long term that cant be good. Not at KLC! They soak them and gently rub the old stuff away. This place is out of the way for me but I will be a regular here for sure. As far as a language barrier; its not that bad.

Horrible experience ... I will never go there again lol looking at my nails is just pissing me off but anyways Went there with my sister to get pedis and fill ins the water that the lady had us soak our feet in was cold well my sister said hers was too hott it looked as if there were skin floating in the foot tubs eeewwwwww!!!! We didnt even get the pedicures thats how bad it was then when we got our fill in they did my acrylic super thin and the guy cut me and our paint jobs were terrible strait ghetto dont go here yall i usually go to lotus nail salon but i didnt go that day because it was so packed and we made appointments and still have to wait dont nobody got time fa that lol. Even though lotus isnt my favorite place they can do some nails and feet and its a real spa experience ...... theyre pricey but worth it stay away from this place im not just saying it to be a douche either

Good price but it was painful and being the only person in the salon with no music and no talking while being rushed was a little awkward.

This was the worst nail expierence I have ever had. Jenny did mine and another womans nails at the same time! It was rushed, not what I wanted, the tips and sides were not painted, and they are way to short. I will not be returning to this nail salon ever again.
