I had TDI services for approximately 6 months. The service was decent and I was pleased with the rate they gave me. I called and cancelled my service simply because I was going to continue with my own weed control. At the time of cancelling, I paid my final bill (or so I thought). I even asked the person who took the payments and they confirmed. months later, I just received a debt recovery letter from a third party in reference to me owing a payment. I called the service and they assured me it would not impact my credit and that I could still contact TDI to make the payment. It took me three days of waiting on hold to finally get in contact with them (this was due to the increase of army worms in our area and people calling for service). By the time I finally contacted someone, I was not interested in expressing my frustration, I just wanted to pay my bill. It wasnt until the lady asked after my payment if I wanted to reinstate my service that I said absolutely not and in fact let me tell you why. As I start into my service she proceeded to talk over me and interrupt saying that she only wanted to know if I wanted to restart my service. Ultimately, I figured this may be a better platform to tell others about my experience and let them make their own decision. I had True Green in the past and as far as taking care of the lawn, their chemicals did a better job. The TDI technicians were great and but I am not okay with having an unknown, unpaid bill referred to collections and then being dismissed about it on the phone.

Shout out to TDI Services for their outstanding customer service. I have been using TDI for several years now and they have always done a great job. Recently we were invaded by army worms and when I called, they were at my house within hours. Rumor is most the other yard services werent answering their phones or taking several days to show up and treat. Not TDI, they answered the phone, they were friendly and cared about my needs. In fact, the service was free because I was a current customer. Also, the next day I noticed more active worms and they came back within 24 hours and sprayed again. Thanks TDI Services for being so awesome.

These guys are really great! The routine services are fine, but the cool thing is they they hustle out whenever I notice a crabgrass patch popping up, etc. They just got here in less than an hour after I noticed an army worm assault in progress in my yard. Really happy with this service!

This is probably the most responsive company ( of any type ) that I’ve dealt with in our 4 years in Huntsville. Our lawn expert, Marcus, is simply the best. Knowledgeable, professional, on time, perfect follow up if there’s an issue, and seems like a great all around guy. Always up beat, got a smile, and kind, fun things to say to his customers. The TDI company should be proud that he represents them.

Called and left a message at 4pm on a Saturday about an invasion of army worms, figured there was no way I was going to see them until the following week. 08:30am Sunday morning the TDI truck shows up to spray! Unexpected and wonderful response time. Thank you!

Have been using them 5 months now, and have really seen progress in my yard. Very professional and polite. Responds to messages quickly.

They have restored our yard to golf course quality. Our tech does his job well. Had them out for our army worm....no charge, WOW

Edit:I wasnt able to get a hold of anyone at the office for two weeks which is why the rating was low but I finally got a hold of a wonderful lady and she scheduled someone to come out next day!

Great company to deal with. I dealt with the owner directly. I actually bought some of their old equipment. He was an honest man and very easy to do business with. I would recommend these folks if you are in need of lawn treatments.

Great service, they came out and sprayed my army worms for free.

Requested an estimate for grass and weed treatment. Representative showed up was very nice. Provided estimate and left. Estimate for approximately 29,000 sq./ft. I measured the grass yard myself at around 23,000 later. Texted the rep and told him that and other info. He texted back it will be 21,000 sq./ft. I texted I agree with that and the additional discounts. He texted he will review my estimate once he is back in office. Days later I texted and stated I am wanting yard treated. No reply. Seems a waste of my time.

Used this company for a year with average results. I requested to close my service with them and they quit coming. Two months later i get a random bill for which i refused to pay because I requested them to stop coming and the date was after that day. Hey since turn that bill over to collections which I also explain to them the situation and refused to pay. Now I’m having to get a lawyer to go fight them over less than $200. It’s the principle that matters. Fortunately family members are attorneys and it will not cost me anything but I’m not letting them get away with it.

Cannot be trusted to do what they say they are going to do. When you call them on it, they claim its your fault because youre too picky. I would not give these guys the time of day if you want to be treated like a valued customer.

Our yard always looks great. TDI was very prompt to come out for no charge when army worms appeared.

Bought a house last year and the lawn looked like it was mostly weeds. After 2 treatments they had almost elimated every weed which allowed my Bermuda to take over. I like they are locally owned and headquartered in Madison. Anytime Ive called its been a positive experience. Pricing is competitive compared to 3 other companies I received quotes from.

Ruined my lawn I had worked on for 2 years. Increased the growth of weeds and nutsedge, and in turned offered no remedy. I believe this is all lawn services motto, dont solve problems,continuing business and continued income. Didnt work with me, 3rd lawn service Ive terminated. Take the $500 (annual cost) and buy the sprayer and spreader and material yourself. Better results, done as you need when you need without wait of their so called service call

Weve tried other lawn treatment services in the past with no results. We had given up and were going to do it ourselves until someone highly recommend TDI. TDI has far exceeded our expectations from communication, pricing, services offered and overall results. An absolute fantastic company across the board.

When TDI began treating my lawn it was overgrown with Dallas grass and weeds. The technician taught me how to remove the Dallas grass and made suggestions on what I could do to keep it from coming back. Now I have a beautiful lawn, thanks to TDI!

Never follow through. We had mice. They really did not try to get rid of them. I paid them for the full year. Like pulling teeth to get them here. Problems with outside pest too. Had to hire a new lawn service because they were killing our grass. Do not use this company.

Because I had been paying to have my yard cut, I never saw the number of weeds in it. In looking from afar, you wouldnt notice anything standing up among the Bermuda grass. Then, I took on the mowing myself and found a grocery sack full of weeds after walking my own front yard, after 3 years of service. Pre-emergent, humic-acid/kelp solution, and post emergent weed control does not cost hundreds of dollars per year. A backpack sprayer and a walk-behind spreader doesnt take as long to run as a mower. I cant believe that few years is $1k+ Ill never get back for less than a 6k sq ft space. You can re-sod your yard every 5 years instead of using a service as costly as this, or at least any problem areas. The company has become so big and widdled their cost per yard so low, that theyre not interested in keeping any one yard weed free, they just hafta keep the mass from complaining to keep subscribers. The workers run through in a great big hurry, use as little treatment product as possible, and fly out. They dont take 10 minutes on your yard, no wonder they missed my weeds all over the place. When they flew through spreading granules, they were left all over my porch, the driveway, the sidewalk, and when it rains, you get stains everywhere. Theyre in too big of a hurry to pickup the mess they make, always in a rush. If you have growth issues, you need to get a soil test done by the County Extension Office, send some dirt to Auburn and view the pH, nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium needs for your grass. Places like TDI are a band-aid and try a one-size-fits-all approach like applying lime all year, upping the pH to incorrect levels.

Weve had Turf Doctor for many years now and are pleased with their services and staff.In the beginning, we had several weak/bare and weeded areas in our lawn. After the first season/year with Turf Doctor, we progressively saw improvement and it has become healthier each consecutive year.

Love the way these guys handle our lawn treatment and pest control. going on season 3! and 4 of our neighbors have got on board also.

This was my second year of pre-paying to have Turf Dr. treat my lawn. The lawn still looks terrible, lots of weeds and bare spots. On top of still having a poor looking lawn, they also allowed poison ivy to grow right up under my deck and some in the front lawn next to a tree in the yard. I contacted Turf Dr. and a supervisor told me they only treat the turf, nothing under the deck, even though its within 1 foot of the grass they are treating. My disagreement with them is that if you claim to be certified technicians with excellent customer care would you not at LEAST notify the customer they have lots of poison ivy IN PLAIN SLIGHT. I didnt know what it looked like, but I certainly do now. Turf Dr. is all about quantity not quality, they focus on marketing and customer turn-over, not taking care of the customers they already have. SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY, DONT USE THIS COMPANY!!

I hate to leave a mediocre review but I feel that it is necessary. Ive used them in the past and had no issues, but they did not stand by their weed control this year. I basically threw 80 bucks out the window and my yard has more weeds in it than when I took care of it myself. I guess its back to doing lawn treatment myself.
