Bill is hands down the best and most straightforward jewler in Madison. I went to a few box stores before settling on working with him and nobody else quite explained how everything works like he did. The prices were the best around and the quality was unmatched. I went with my future mother-in-law and this was such a fun experience instead of a stressful situation. He worked with my budget and got it done quicker than quoted. I would highly recommend for any young couples looking to propose.

I am *SO* grateful a friend recommended me to William Thomas. My partner + I knew we wanted to design an engagement ring together that didnt include a diamond. Bill had lots of experience working with other stones and made the process so easy. We went in one evening to talk conceptually and use his showroom to start to get an idea of what we liked and didnt like. Then Bill ordered in stones after understanding what we were after and we got to pick out the perfect stone ourselves! It was truly such a fun experience and I am overjoyed with how well it came out. All around the best jeweler in the area. I came to Bill with an idea to create a large Art Deco opal ring I fell in love with at a gallery. It was a complex project requiring gems to be specially cut and sourcing the right opal, and complex metal work. My wife needed her wedding ring cut off because of swelling due to an infection. She got an appointment for urgent care to treat the infection and urgent care staff recommended that she first have the ring removed by a jeweler. We called William Thomas just before they opened for the day. The owner answered right away and made himself available to remove the ring 20 minutes later, in time to make it to our medical appointment. He did a very fine job removing the ring, and had it repaired in time for us to pick it up after our medical appointment. We were both very pleased and grateful for his prompt and professional service.

I cannot applaud them enough for the courtesy and professionalism they showed me when designing my wedding band. I asked for my wedding band under short notice- my wedding event plans were moved due to COVID-19 but I decided to move forward with getting married within a few weeks. Long story short they were able to get me my dream ring even under such duress. They really helped bring to reality the image of the ring in my mind and their final craftsmanship is beautiful. I am very happy and highly recommend them.

THE only place to go for jewelry. I had a horrible experience elsewhere with my engagement ring. As soon as my daughter and I walked into William Thomas, we were so impressed with how warm and welcomed Jennifer made us feel. When we left, my 11 year old daughter said how very nice Jennifer was and she liked this place so much more than the other jeweler we went to. Bill did a great job recasting my wifes custom ring, the prongs holding the main diamond kept breaking. He remade the whole ring from scratch with much better craftsmanship and it turned out even more stunning than the original. .

A couple years ago I took the marquis diamond out of my 23 year old wedding band that kept breaking. I had a different jeweler design a ring for this diamond from a picture. I never was thrilled with that ring. So I went to Bill and asked him about my ideas to make a new setting for my original diamond. I also had the idea to put a colored stone in that ring I wasnt thrilled with. When Bill removed my original diamond from my redesigned ring he found the tip broke off the diamond. I was truly disappointed to hear this. To resolve my problem, Bill said he could glue the diamond back together. I asked him to put the glued diamond back into the original setting and repair the band once more for me. Then I would wear it for special occasions. That turned out very nice. You cant even tell something is wrong with that diamond. However, I still wanted a low profile wedding band so I had him design one from another picture of a marquis setting. He gave me a good price on a diamond he had in stock and made me a beautiful new ring that has worked perfectly for me in a laboratory setting. So now I have my original setting that I will wear for special occasions and one that I call smashproof for wearing everyday. Bill suggested a pink sapphire in the setting that I was never happy with and now I wear that everyday on my right hand. It is much better with a colored stone. Bill also did some minor repairs on a couple other rings for me that had sentimental value. These turned out very nice as well. I enjoyed working with Bill to come up with a solution to my jewelry design failure and now I have 4 rings that I love instead of regret. Also, I had them in time for my 25th wedding anniversary. Thanks Bill!
