My daughter was very afraid to participate for several months when she first began classes. The instructors were very warm and gave encouragement without pushing or pulling on her. After she has been developing for several years I decided to join up. It is a great place to participate in an incredibly beneficial activity with my 8 year old. The lessons are useful for the real world while participants are taught to be fully developed leaders and individuals with integrity. I highly recommend this place..

I have been training at WI-MAFC for about a year now. The atmosphere is very friendly and helpful. The instructors will work with you on achieving your goals.

Our daughters have been training at this academy for three years. What first won us over was the support, encouragement, and amazing positive energy that flowed out of the instructors - especially Head Instructor Buss. Everyone here - staff, students, and families alike - are a community. My girls have always felt welcomed at the academy and on the mat and have never once been treated differently because they are girls (which is good, because they are STRONG GIRLS!). Not only are the students taught great martial arts skills, WI-MAFC also puts a strong focus on community, responsibility, health, and positive relationships at home and at school.Daughter 1 (age 9): I liked how everyone at each belt rank was treated equally no matter who they were (age or gender). I liked how the instructors always look for the best in us, even if they push us hard.Daughter 2 (age 5): I like jiu jitsu because I like the kids in my class.
