They manipulated us into cashing almost 90k worth of insurance checks. They continued to give us unrealistic timelines and empty promises. Our family has been displaced for over 4 months strictly due to their incompetence, mishandling and flat out lying to our faces. The contractors who have performed (minimal) work have been some of the worst I have ever encountered and I have been working in the trades for 20 years. There are truly no words to explain the destruction and mishandling we have endured in this experience witch unfortunately is nowhere near over. They also damaged, destroyed and/or lost multiple items from our home during the “pack out, cleaning and return” process. The items that were returned were not cleaned at all. We are now have to do the work we paid them to do ourselves and spend money out of our pocket to recoup the litany of losses we have incurred.

I worked with Penelope. She was remarkably responsive and informative throughout. She came within hours of my initial request, was able to have a roofing contractor out promptly to further investigate our roof and gutters and could quickly identify our problem and put in a great cleanup plan. Penelope was always on time and did a great job explaining what happened so we could ensure everything is properly fixed to prevent further damage. THANK YOU!

Around 930 at night i stepped into my laundry room and there was standing water that was flowing into other rooms. I couldnt find a plumber as they were all tied up. must have called 10 places. I called Emergency Fire & Water and they were at my house in 15 min. They immediately went to work and saved more damage from happening. Quick reliable and quality work. I would highly recommend them.

I used the Madison, WI office crew for a small water damage situation.The mediation process provided was quick and thorough. Penelope was a true professional. I would recommend her as an employee to anyone.The rebuild was a horrible process. The so-called general contracting was a complete joke. We had contacted Emergency Fire and Water Restoration in March of 2019 to restore and mitigate Ice dam damage to our home from 2019 brutal winter. My parents lost power at their home during storms this summer, knocking out the sump pump and their basement flooded with 4 of water. 4 is a lot of water! I drove down an hour and a half to see what I could do the next day. They had already gotten power back but the damage was done. Their insurance company pointed them at some big name cleanup service but it was going to be days until they could even come assess the damage. I know Penelope through a charitable group that we belong to and only had to make one call. She picked up the ball from there and ran with it. Im in the trades and know that logistically nothing was easy, especially with all the local flooding that was going on. Pen and her team never dropped the ball. Within 36 hours of taking the call her team was on site in my parents basement doing work, my worries were over. We had a huge unexpected water leak in our second level bathroom that left that bathroom, the adjoining bathroom, my sons room, ceiling to the lower level and lower level living room floor all damaged. Emergency fire and water restoration started work right away. We worked with Shane and cannot day enough good things about him. He always answered my questions right away (and there were a lot) and if he didn’t know the answer he got back to me as soon as he did. He was able to get us the money we deserved and worked with the insurance company to get us that. The work they did was excellent and, although we ran into a few unexpected snags a long the way, we are very happy with our remodel! Thank you guys! Cannot thank you all enough for your hard work!!
