Nikole did an amazing job! I don’t think I would’ve gotten the same outcome if it wasn’t for her! She really helped me understand everything and was always quick to respond to my questions. I felt she really cared about the future of my child and I wasn’t just another case. She makes sure you stay on track of what’s really best for the child while still acknowledging your feelings. I believe that Sterling Law Offices is a competent law firm with highly educated individuals. They have the right answers to your questions in the matter of law. But thats not all I was looking for when I sought an attorney. I wanted to hire peace of mind, the knowledge that someone is fighting for me. Thats not what I received. Instead I felt like I was arguing against the attorney I worked with at Sterling (whom I will choose not to name in this review); at this point, I was still ready to leave them a 5-star review if things were rectified. But when I made my opinion known to the owners of the firm, I was swiftly met with opposition via email. Never a phone call or further questions about my interpretation of what happened. This review wouldnt be here if it did; in fact, the 1-star rating is strictly representative of the response I received from ownership. I expected, especially from a law firm, to be heard out, to be allowed the chance to find a reasonable solution to my circumstances, and to be able to move forward with dignity and grace. Instead I was offered 10% of my retainer (over $5,000) for a case that is, at best, 60% complete (thats my personal opinion) and a stipulation to withdraw from the engagement. Those are the facts, Ill let you draw the conclusion about whether to hire them.

My initial consult was very comforting - Kirsten was so friendly and made me feel at ease right from the start. Divorce is a difficult time as it is and then you start talking attorney fees and property division and husband knowledge/concerns and it gets even more over-whelming. She just reminded me to breathe and that they have this, she is with me every step of the way and if for some reason she would need to be away, there is always someone within Sterling to back her up...This was a nice sentiment in February when I first started with the firm. I have since then done three more reviews that dont seem to appear anywhere. There was no back up from Sterling and I am praying that justice will prevail in the end. Ms. Navarrette regarding my case was more interested in obtaining the most fees than the best settlement for me. She had communications with the opposing counsel that was kept from me, she would not communicate updates on my case, what should have been done by June 1, 2018 wasnt even started with regard to discussion of a settlement offer. Document requests went on for months instead of using the discovery process. When I finally requested copies of all the communications between her and the opposing counsel I was let go and now Im working to find justice.
