Anna is such a delight to work with! She does her best to make you look your best on your special day. My train was wide and lengthy so it needed 12 bustles! However, Anna was kind enough to discount it for me. Additionally, I am very petite, yet she knew exactly what to do to keep my train looking beautiful.On another note, I somehow misplaced my bridesmaids dress 2 weeks before my cousins wedding. I let Anna know about my situation and told her Id understand if it would not be doable. However, she graciously still took on my request which really saved me!I would certainly recommend and will be going again in the future!

I came in with a sample dress that was too big for me by a size, and too long for me by quite a bit! Anna did a lot of bodice reconstruction, including shortening the straps, taking it in, and adding darts and bust cups. She also added custom sleeves onto the dress, including cutting and placing appliques to make the sleeves match with the bodice of the dress. She did such an amazing job, and was a pleasure to work with. She finished my dress earlier than estimated and was continuously ready for the next step in fitting ahead of schedule. I would recommend her to anyone!

First picture is the day I chose my dress. 2nd picture is at the wedding after losing 50 pounds. Anna rebuilt my dress and did an amazing job. I wasn’t sure it was going to be possible but she took it upon herself to completely deconstruct and recreate my dress so I could keep the pockets and the entire train despite taking 6 inches off the bodice. She also made me two different lengths for my bustle, one for photos, and one for dancing. Her attention to detail is unrivaled. Anna will be first on my list for any tailoring needs!

I came in to Anna’s with ideas of what I wanted done to my wedding dress. When I first put it on, Anna took a look and started pinning where she thought it needed to be taken in, what she needed to do in order to do that, and how to make it look best on my body shape. I didn’t even get to telling her what I had in my mind, because everything she thinking should be done checked off my list and even some more that just made the dress perfect for me. Anna was very reasonably priced, as I had a lot of changes but spent wayyyy less than I would have if I had all those same changes made at the same place that I had purchased my dress from. On my wedding day, so many people complimented me and said how the dress looked like it was made for me. I felt so confident and comfortable walking around in my dress because it fit so perfectly after Anna was done with it. She did a three point bustle in the back for me and this was so nice when the reception came, and I could easily walk around and dance and not have to worry about anyone stepping on my long train.

Anna was amazing and very professional! She is very detail oriented and suggested ways to make my wedding dress better with the alterations. I was in great hands with her altering my wedding dress! She paid close attention to even the smallest details of my wedding dress. Overall highly recommend!

I went to her to have my bridesmaid dress hemmed. She was friendly and on time, but the quality of the work performed was extremely poor. She only marked the dress in one spot so the dress was both too long and extremely uneven. I could not wear it as is and had to ask another seamstress to fix the dress before the wedding. The quality of the stitching was also poor, and it was clear that it was a rush job. For the high price paid for the services, this was extremely disappointing.

My wedding was planned pretty quickly, so I only had a couple of months turnaround between getting my gown in and the wedding itself. But Anna was amazing!In addition to standard alterations, the V of my neckline was a few inches deeper than I liked, so she added some lining and chiffon from the fabric cut off while hemming. The addition was perfect - no telling it wasnt part of the original dress. And she recommended the best bustle type for my dress material and made sure my sister was comfortable with the bustling process.Anna was easy to work with, quick to communicate, and did a great job on alterations. We went from first fitting on April 10 to final product on June 3 with no stress, and I still get compliments on my dress when we share our wedding photos.

I needed a bridesmaid dress altered by September 18th for a wedding I’m in. Anna not only responded quickly, but was also quick during the process. I have never had anything altered before, and didn’t really know what to expect. I will definitely be going to her forever from now on! I went to pick up my dress and with the silky type of fabric of my dress, you could see where the cup pads had been sewn. Anna fixed it without me even commenting on it and even stayed late to do so. She is so awesome!!! 100/10 recommend!

I bought a used dress off of StillWhite with (what I thought were) approximately my measurements, but then I could barely get into my dress. Anna came up with a plan to ensure that I could get in and out of the dress with ease, it looked beautiful, and it was comfortable. She moved a zipper from the side to the back and added a column of buttons to the sheer/lace back. She took it out at the waist quite significantly and and hemmed the heaps and heaps of silk skirt. Anna made me feel very comfortable throughout the whole process and her prices were extremely reasonable. She had incredible attention to detail, and even offered to do one more alteration after the final fitting to make everything just perfect, but let me make the final decision on what to do/not do. She was also very responsive via text when I needed to change the date I needed the dress by. I highly recommend using Annas Tailoring Studio for all your creative dress problem-solving needs.

I did what brides are not supposed to do…I bought a dress that was just a LITTLE too small…it was THE ONE…it was the last one, and they didn’t have it in a larger size and it was on sale. Anna did an excellent job hemming and tapering my pants. She also did my bridesmaid’s dress and it came out beautiful!! I hadn’t bought the heels when I dropped off the dress. She had me stand on my tip toes and estimate what size heel I wanted. I had the new heels when I picked up the dress and she had it perfect. She also helped me figure out how to style the dress. It was one of those convertible dresses so it was a struggle for me to figure out how to tie it right. Did I mention she finished it 4 days early?!?!? And her pricing was beyond fair. I’m sold, I will always go to Anna if I need anything tailored. And you shouldn’t hesitate to too.

This place is OVERPRICED!!! I paid $150 for a dress I now have to fix and try to alter myself with my Mom.The straps were shortened WAY too much. After trying it on again at home and wearing it for less than an hour while I pinned areas that still need fixing, the straps left deep imprints and red marks on my shoulders.The dress is NOT comfortable anymore!!! I feel like if I move my arms around too much/high it will likely rip.The dress was slightly big in my around my breast/ribcage and the current pleats needed to be taken in so the fabric doesn’t sag. She refused and instructed me to “pull down my dress in the front when I take pictures” to make it look better. The whole point of getting alterations is so something fits right!!

Great job on my mother-of-the-bride dress! Quite a bit needed to be taken in and tightened up. The dress tended to bunch out in odd places and was a little lopsided. (The dress was bought online.) The result was everything I had hoped for and done in plenty of time for our son’s wedding. Thanks so much Anna!

It had rips/tears, a dirty hemline, a million layers of tulle (much of it ripped), etc. It was a mess.She had to fix rips, shorten sleeves, cover holes, repair layers of the tulle and shorten it to be my height.She fixed EVERYTHING in a reasonable time and for an excellent price! She even went above and beyond and had it cleaned. I honestly cannot thank Anna enough for taking a dress that would have been difficult enough to alter brand new, and turning it into something beautiful!I will recommend her to anyone who is looking for an affordable, skilled seamstress who goes above and beyond in her work. Anna took my size 12, off-the-rack wedding dress and made it fit my size 8 frame like a glove! She is a miracle worker and I could not have asked for better results. I had a horrible first experience with Bridals by Joyce on the east side (brought my wedding dress to her in early March) where she damaged my dress and forced me to go to another seamstress (didnt tell me until early September). With one month left until my wedding, I decided to buy another dress. Was recommended to go see Anna and boy, did she deliver! Went in on Thursday for a fitting, needed cups and a hem, she had me back that Monday for another measure just to be sure of it, and I brought it home finished on Wednesday. Responsive, quick, friendly, accommodating, all of the above! Thank goodness for Anna! Second seamstress, second dress, wish I wouldve gone to her in the beginning. Will take my first dress to Anna to repair and hopefully sell. Anna all the way!

Anna did an amazing job with my many requests for my wedding dress September 2017! My dress was very simple which made it slightly more tricky to work with as to not show the alterations. She took it out some places and took it in other places and you would never have known. She was so kind, very efficient and reasonably priced.

I brought a pair of my Miss Me jeans to Anna that were too long for me. They were also more of a boot cut look, and I wanted them to be more of a skinny jean style. I called Anna because I tried my bridesmaids dress on again for a wedding next weekend!! I absolutely panicked when the straps were too long. She told me to bring the dress in so she could take look. When I got there, Anna greeted me right away and made me feel very comfortable. I tried on the dress for her and it turned out my dress had little loops that you can attach to your bra to keep the dress up. Instead of charging me $45 to shorten the straps (which most other places would do) she saved me by pointing out this VERY simple fix that I was not aware of beforehand. I HIGHLY recommend her for anyone who needs alterations on anything... She is the nicest person and really goes the extra mile for her customers. Thanks again Anna!!!

A hidden jewel on the west side of Madison! We needed last minute alterations to a dress for a wedding. Anna cheerfully fit them in with a days notice and she fixed a run in a pair of mens dress pants (for free!) while the dress was being tried on. And shes hilarious and friendly to boot.

Anna is relaxed and friendly to deal with, but she absolutely knows her stuff.When fitting my wife for a bridesmaids dress she asked all of the right questions and got it marked quickly. She also answered a few questions and provided some useful advice. It was a pleasant and productive experience.So far the results have been perfect. Getting the work done takes a while, but she tells you up front when it will be done and has delivered on that. You get no problems, no surprises, no stress, and very reasonable prices.

I told her the situation and she was able, on top of all her other jobs, to get this jacket done by Friday (I dropped it off on Wednesday)! She fixed it like new for a fantastic price.
