This car wash reminds me of my childhood. 50 years ago it’s fun to go there. I’m always happy to go back. They always do a great job.

Adequate only vacuuming. Had to ask to clean some windows again. Nice about my request.

Probably the best that I have ever been to. Price was resealable. The best part was that they will clean and vacuum the inside for you as well!

Did not know they would take our car - not to mention open our doors and stare at us without saying anything, until we got out. $20 for a wash and there was still dirt all over the car. Would not recommend.

Been there once. Hussle free. They do good job. Since my rear seating and my trunk were clean the vacuum cleaners did not touch that but I guess they do for others. Or atleast I would keep them open or tell them upfront. So for the service I had I kinda felt expensive. But again, if I visit more often I can update the review.The washers doesnt clean the bug strains on the bonnet. I agree it is not that easy to clean. Just providing it as an Information not a negative side.I will recommend them and I will visit them few more times. I did not get any picture though.

Has definitely taken a nose dive to the grave. I used to love coming here and will no long go, even with a free wash coupon. They stopped vacuuming most of the interior, bug spots never get washed away, equipment appears outdated, cars leave streaky, and expect to leave with some car damage (chip in windshield for me). Don’t waste your time or money.

The worst car wash I ever had in my life. Only thing cleaned was my windows. And they was half done. Please dont waste your money

I have a BMW m3 coupe with OEM wheels and apparently my wheel and tire combination won’t fit so I was denied service? I find it hard to understand, but that’s ok, I took my car elsewhere. I saw two larger SUVs behind me with seemingly larger tires go in no problem. I think this place needs an investment to have adjustable conveyers. Not to mention they should offer a hand wash package like other similarly large washes. There were 7 guys standing there waiting for customers. That’s just my recommendation. How can a place deny a coupe with 265/35/19 rear tires? That’s not really an aggressive setup.

I come once a week to get my car serviced quite often is hasnt been vacuumed out properly. I end up normally having to rewash and wipe down my own car. They pull up my carpets and never put them back down so Im driving and my carpet is moving up under my feet. Although Ive come here quite often to get a quick wash that does not get totally washed I would not recommend coming here maybe trying one of the other branches.

The crew at Mermaid does a nice job. I like that they hand dry your vehicle. The wait is fast and you end up with a clean and dry vehicle no matter what shape you brought it in. Great job Mermaid!

Car washed many times over the years. Very seldom any complaint. Employees are courteous and efficient.

Vacuums missed alot on floors, inside wipe down spotty, out side wash missed alot of bugs and Poor Birds inside should see a vet.

I was disappointed with my car wash experience at Mermaid today. Why pay for those extras when they are not done or done poorly? There was little or no vacuuming done. I would expect large pieces to be vacuumed. I paid extra to have my front mats cleaned. I dont think anything was done. Again, why pay extra for these services?

I dont understand why they stopped offering detailing.

Great place to go if youre looking to be hit on while getting a car wash. 👌 If youre looking for professional staff Id recommend elsewhere though.

I like coming to see the parrots and the touchless exterior wash is nice. However one six year old kid could clean the inside of my car better than the six adults.

Weve gone to Mermaid Carwash for many years. Enjoy how quick the lines move. Friendly staff and two beautiful birds in main area.

I only went here because I got a coupon for a full service car wash from Don Miller Subaru. My complaint is not with the employees at all. They were friendly, professional, and seemed genuinely happy to be working. My issue is with the actual car wash and management. My car does not look good and its through no fault of the employees. The management should be monitoring the cleaning supplies so that at the end of the day the cloths or cleaning products arent so dirty and old they are leaving streaks on the windows. Literally I am going to have to wipe down my own windows and take my car through another car wash because I can barely see. Super streaky and left tons of residue. Management, do your job and actually monitor the job your employees are doing and youd notice when the cleaning products/cloths arent doing the best job that they should be and figure out a more frequent schedule to change them or change your cleaning products completely. Also, I find it totally bizarre that you have two macaws in your car wash. Do they go somewhere else at night? I mean, what an unnatural, strange thing to keep two wild and intelligent animals from South America inside a car wash as captive entertainment. Definitely would not return for that reason alone. You could have gotten a fish tank or something if you were going with the mermaid theme.

The car wash was excellent. At first I thought it must have been someone elses car, it was so clean and shiny. Much appreciated.

Did a great job cleaning my car inside and out.

Very friendly and prompt service. Was a little worried Id get turned away due to my car being completely caked in mud. Th y checked me in and offered an under carriage wash as well. Cat was sparkly clean when they were done.

This place is average to begin with, but probably one of the better spots in town to get a wash, and not get your car all scratched up (brushless), well or at least I thought. I go almost every Sunday morning to get may car washed first thing. After pulling out of the wash, I go a half block down to the little parking lot near the bike path and wipe all the water from inside the car doors, trunk, mirrors, etc. I am not knocking them for missing these things, they need to push cars through to make money, but I am meticulous about cleaning my car. In fact, I had rinsed the car off Saturday night, because I had taken a country drive and gotten bugs and dust on the car, that I knew would not come all the way off Sunday when I took my car in. Anyways, while drying off my car in the little lot down the street, I noticed some gashes in my rims, that took the paint off. I have factory rims, with lower profile tires (also factory), so it is not anything exotic that the car wash shouldnt have accounted for. I immediately took the car back to show them that their conveyor must have a loose piece, or some sort of other wear, and that they might want to fix it. I was immediately met with an argument that there is no way their conveyor could do that, I caused the damage myself and was trying to blame them, that there is physically no way this could happen, my alignment must be off, .... basically every excuse in the book. Well, the night before, when I had pre-rinsed my car, I had specifically washed the tires, so I knew for sure that the damage was not there before I went to the car wash Sunday. The guy took me inside and showed me a conveyor track that had a plastic bumper on the top, but clearly had rusted, rough, ragged metal right below the plastic bumper that easily could have caused the damage. Furthermore, the damage was straight across the rim/spoke, at the exact height of the conveyor guide. The damage pattern look like it either happened when pulling on/off the conveyor (really low speed), or while the car was running down the conveyor. It is not overly severe, and it probably would not be a huge deal, if they had just admitted that they caused the damage, but no, I was met with illogical arguments about how they never could have caused that, how it was physically impossible, and then blame, that I did the damage myself and was trying to accuse them. Well, I know for sure that I did not drive the car between the time I last looked at the rims, and the time that I looked again, other than to the car wash, and a half block to the parking lot where I noticed the damage. I know for sure that I did not hit anything during that short drive, so the only place this damage could have happened was at Mermaid. After being accused of being a liar, being played as an idiot, and the terrible experience, I do expect them to fix the damage. Moral of the story, touch-less can still cause damage, inspect your vehicle before you pull out of the lot, and be ready to be met with a terrible experience from this car wash if you do notice damage. It sucks that they caused the damage, but it really sucks to be played as a fool, and/or a liar.

Smaybe it was just me,, but it felt somewhat of a zombie land. No cheerfulness, greetings from staff & they forgot to wipe dash.

First time doing a car wash this way, didnt expect to get out lol but over all they did a very well job. I liked the fact that they vaccumed and wiped everything down!

I was driving by so I decided to check it out. NOT WORTH THE MONEY! Car wash was fine, but I paid for the top of the line and got nothing. Dashboard was left dusty, carpets dirty, barely vacuumed. Should have done it myself!

The car got cleaned to my exacting standards and there was a bird show waiting for me in the cashiers area.

Just paid $25 for a carwash that was supposed to include cleaning the interior (wiping down interior, vacuuming, cleaning windows). While the car smells slightly different, the interior isnt any more clean. I honestly cant tell if they did anything to the interior? But they did have several employees standing around to hold doors open and stare vacantly. Honestly wish I would have saved $15 at the gas station car wash. Edit: a couple hours later, the car now smells like a wet dog.

They do a really nice job and my car looks and smells great after. Sometimes Ill drive away with some streaks on my windows from the towels they use.

Paid for a pearl package doesnt appear they vacuumed at all.

When I asked them, they told me that their wash fits cars up to 10 feet tall. However, when I drove there with my 7.5 foot tall car, they said it was too big. They need to invest in a measuring tape so that can tell people the correct height of their car wash.

Greatest car wash ever.

I would not come back to this car wash!! They appears to be more focused on speed than completing the services that were paid for on your ticket. When you ask them to go back and do the items that were missed they act like you committed a crime and get really indignant. This has happened more than a couple of times. Clearly just not worth the hassle and the poor service. There are much better places in town that do a great job, but just a bit longer drive. Note: Be careful with the change in your storage bin, the guys in the vacuum area vacuumed up over $14 in toll money. It was a bit hassle with the manager for them to refund it back.

Car was still very dirty after I left. Didnt notice as it was in the back seat. They missed huge spots and didnt even wipe down most surfaces.

It’s been a while since I’ve been to this car wash so I wasn’t exactly familiar with what kinda services they had so I asked for a normal car wash and the guy just immediately got attitude with me saying that’s not a option and was just super rude ... I mean all he had to do was suggest like what a standard service was or what the difference was in the options..... I understand it’s a hot day but there was no reason to treat me like that I was polite asked him how his day was ... he made me feel so uncomfortable I just left ... didn’t want nothing to do with that place after he acted like that and still told him to have a nice day as I left .... time was about 1:40 on the 24th ... I would recommend a more people friendly person who knows how many people just decided to leave instead of getting a wash because of this guys poor attitude

The team does a very good job cleaning inside and out. I really appreciate the care they take in drying the car off.

It’s not worth your money here, majority of the workers just do a half fast job and does not even pay attention to detail and doesn’t know how to do a proper wipe down of a vehicle inside out. They just wipe down the excess water a little and nothing more. It’s better to use a drive through car wash and wipe it down yourself then pay $18 to have them do it and have nothing cleaned on your car. The only good thing is the smell good they put inside your car.

Wish Mermaid would list their prices and services they provide online.They also do not accept any tipping. Well okay. But they did a nice auto car wash and personnel did a great job wiping down truck.They wiped down inside windows very well, but console wipe down was very minimal.No floor mat cleaning at all.

Friendly employees, but the exterior of my car was not clean enough. The interior, vacuuming, and windows were done well. The problem with the exterior was that the employees that dried the car off did not dry every panel and did a partial job on some panels. This left water spots and light salt residue on several panels. My car is newer and was just waxed a month ago, so it should have been easy to get the exterior clean. For the $18+ that I paid, I was expecting more. Just a little more attention to detail on the drying would have been a five star rating.

I went here today and had a great experience! Everyone I spoke with was friendly and my car was nice and clean, inside and out. I would have no issues returning to have them work on my car again.

I have had problems in the past but wanted to give them another chance and was disappointed again. The staff is really friendly however the inside of the car was not cleaned up very much at all. Just dont waste your money.

They did a good job. Service was fast, car was cleaned acceptably well. If I want the car 100% immaculate Ill clean it myself, but I usually dont have the time. Im paying for the convenience. If I go to a fast food restaurant Im not going for the gourmet food. This place (and Octopus for that matter) are fine for what they are, nothing more.

I received a 20 car wash coupon book as a gift a year ago, so Ive got 20 basic washes to gauge my review over the course of a year. Theyve consistently met my basic expectation of cleaning my car, vacuuming it fairly well, & wiping it dry. It seems good practice to stick to the basic wash package because a lot of bad reviews seem to stem from unmet expectations on the more expensive wash options. Parrots have been in the lobby for as long as I can remember, and can say hello and good-bye.

They used to be good. Not anymore. The last three times I had to point several dirty spots. I asked to talk with the manager and never showed up. So, very expensive for the final result. The staff is very respectful and took care of my requirements.

They overcharged me for an inferior detail. Workers couldnt get the back of my Liberty opened and decided to not clean that part without telling me. I had to wait an an additional 30mins after 2hrs for them to do it. They is okay for a basic wash.

So I called over yesterday to ask if they could wash my truck with a ladder rack on it I was told that as long as it was under 7 and there was no ladders on it they could wash it. When I get there Someone named Chuck radios out and says we can not wash that car. So I Go in to ask why they cant wash it and Chuck cant talk to me and sends another employee to come tell me they just cant wash it with no reason why so I spent 2 hours cleaning all the tools out of my truck for no reason thanks Chuck! Drivers side perfect, done by an older gentleman with work ethic! Passenger side not even touched! Windows only, 1/2 is still filthy, other than the outside 😠

One thing that I miss the most about my previous hometown was the amazing variety and quality of car washes and car detail spots. This town lacks that greatly. This location is a place that I have tolerated just because most of the other locations are just as bad or worse. More often than not, they dont throughly clean the interior of the vehicle and even when you pay extra for a specific service, they do half hearted work. If you have the time and energy, do the interior yourself at a gas station vacuum and run it through their washer. It will be way cheaper and you will do a way better job than the crew at this place.

Google should allow 0 stars! I just left and now and going to clean it myself. I paid extra for my mats to be cleaned because there was mud on them from shoes. Completely still muddy! And somehow there is now a ton of dirt on my passenger seat???? !!! I can’t even explain what a horrible job they did.

Hesitantly took my new(er) vehicle to Mermaid. I was nervous the wheel tracks/machine would damage my wheels. Sure enough, wheels were scuffed when the wash was complete. I spoke with the manager and of course, neither of us could prove when exactly the damage was done. However I am very sensitive to the condition of the wheels from prior problems so I am confident they were not damaged when I entered Mermaid.Needless to say no resolution was offered. They are adamant it did not happen at Mermaid and I am adamant it did. There was no damage to my wheels before entering the wash. Their machine made contact with my wheels. Now there is damage. Seems pretty straightforward.No follow-up yet from the company, even after filing a complaint with the BBB. Doesnt seem like customer service is high on their priority list.

My car looked great until I looked at the back near the license plate. There was a layer of dirt still on it next to the license plate about a square foot in size. How do you miss that? Ive been there twice now coming out with a dirty car. Im beginning to think this isnt a coincidence

I was just at the mermaid and was not impressed. I paid $26 and was told my floor mats would be washed. They did not wash my floor mats. I realize I’m not going to get a perfectly clean car but I have a new car and it just had some salty on the mats and some dog hair. The outside of my car wash great but the inside wasn’t. I’m not one to make reviews especially bad ones. But I paid $26 and the inside didn’t turn out decent.

Overall we had a good experience. First we stopped at the one on the east side. The service was pretty good but when we left we noticed that the trunk was still dirty. We called and asked if they could wash it again on the west side and the very friendly person gladly took down our license plate and told us to stop in whenever. When we got to the west side they quickly put us through and washed the car really great. I would have liked it if it would be been washed well the first time but great customer service!

Paid for the complete car package plus extra for the trunk. You cant even tell my car was vacuumed. And it wasnt that dirty to start with.

Mermaid is a great carwash because their employees make the whole experience so enjoyable. Most carwashes can get your car clean, but the staff wont even say hello. Mermaid staff are friendly and very professional.

Good price for a quick wash. I have been there 50 or more times and never clean the inside glass well. Looks good for s day but the next morning streaks. After two years and comments made they havent fixed the glass cleaning issue.

Gone here good amount of times. And I had few different cars. Recently got a new car. It was a bit lowered. And theres guy that takes or order of the type of wash you wants. He will check to see if your car is still high enough to go through. Which he did, and I was good. But came back for the second time. On without even checking he just told me that Im too low. And I had to go. So this review is for lower cars towatch out if they decide to lie to you.

Relatively OK outside wash here (but not good enough to rid you of baked on bugs), but prices are high, and theres a bit of work they should be doing when cleaning the inside of the car thats just not done... Fingerprints and dust on the dash and the like. Though its not as bad as at other local establishments I could mention, if you have a compact car like me, sometimes it can slip the track in the wash. They seem to know about this issue, and leave plenty of space between small cars and the next auto that goes in.

Overall my car was cleaner. However, im giving 1 stars because my car was left with scratches in the clear coat in several areas. If your car clear coat and paint is in good condition, dont bring it here.

I was not impressed with my Pearl package cleaning. My windows inside are smeared, they didnt even touch my center console area where there were some crumbs from eating on a road trip, and now my tires have a weird brownish substance on them. I get a better clean from an automatic car wash.

First time going here. Terrible! Gentleman that checks you in was so rude. Didnt say anything to me. Then the car was itself was terrible. I needed a wash so bad due to salt (outside) and crumbs and dog hair on the inside and my 7 year old could have done a better job.

I get just the regular wash. Around $11.00 and u get a good car was.

Dont waste your time or money - really lousy car wash. They used to be good years ago, but now they just send your car through as fast as possible with no quality or thoroughness. Car was still dirty outside and inside. And its a new car,, so wasnt really that messy to begin with. I paid for extras that werent done. They offer to send you through again, but the wait wasnt worth the trouble.

First visit here. Very poor service. I could have done a better job cleaning my own car. For a full service I just got my car washed, dry, and trash thrown out. The only thing I liked the lady at desk where you pay she was very polite.

I dont go here for all of my car washes, but perhaps 2 to 3 times per year, I go to Mermaid for a great value on interior and exterior cleaning. Ive never had an issue afterwards, and the interior scent on the Pearl Package is a nice touch.

I from out of town and I was looking for a nice car wash, big mistake. I got there $16 wash, plus I got the rim cleaner and tire dressing that came out to $23 + tip. Worst place ever, I have been to cheaper car wash places that do a better job!! Dont bother with there wash, save your money and your time, go some where else. 😣

11 bucks to wash my car, vacuum the 1st two rows and thoroughly clean inside and outside of Windows . Money well spent every time. These washes are a great gift for that slob you know :-)

Cant believe they call this a car wash! They barely vacuumed anything and after there was crap all over the place-rockers, front and back seats, floors; dust on the front of the dash! And they didnt clean the inside of all the windows because there was an empty cardboard box in the back! Oh and they broke the lift gate plastic handle getting something caught in it-but oh no, not their fault!!! And there was a piece of paper that was stuck in the front tray area-they didnt clean out or touch it! They cant touch those areas because some cars have key fobs in there-really??? Then they wanted to re-vacuum and wash to make it better!! Yeah do the same crappy job over the same way-I think not! Had to almost beg to get my money back-at first they refused. Wont fix the plastic either! NEVER going there again! Lucky workers dont have to work very hard there so if you wash cars for a living go there! If you want your car washed in Madison best do it yourself!

I asked how much was the top wash it was approximately $19. I responded ok, would you like the back cleaned, yes which was poor and left my rear seats down. I get to the register I was charged $2.50 which should of been explained. Outside of the vehicle is great, inside service really dont recommend.

Good exterior cleaning, ok vacuum job. The most frustrating thing is the window and dashboard cleaning, the clothes they use are normally dirty, I have to re-clean all of my interior windows when I leave, they dont touch the center console and they dont vacuum the seats. For $20 I guess maybe Im expecting too much.
