-Do not use their website to schedule appointments and don’t trust the prices.This place came highly recommend by a trusted friend who had great results and got the same package I got. I thought I finally found my dream salon (I have mixed hair, like my friend, so it’s hard to find salons that can handle it.) I scheduled online and got booked with a guy who wasn’t scheduled to work for several more hours after the appointment time. They promised me they could get me in with someone else sooner so I sat for three hours waiting. (I would have left sooner but I figured it wasn’t the stylists fault and my hair desperately needed a new color.) I told the stylist several times I wanted the $70 package (color + cut, blow dry included). They did a great job until it came time to wash my color out. They started chatting with another stylish about that stylists romantic relationship problems (with another stylist at that salon) and discussing how much each other made over my head. When I checked out, my bill was suddenly $150~. The same stylist who did my hair was the one who checked me out. I was charged for the $70 package I wanted, another package AND a blow dry. When I said something about the huge price difference he dropped $20 off. (“That’s the best I can do.” With no explanation for why the price was so high.) I’m not sure where this other package came from unless cutting my bangs which should have been included in my initial cut is super difficult. (Which I had to remind them to do it at the end following reminders during and they didn’t cut them how I wanted.) My hair feels great and the color looks great so I’m incredibly disappointed with their actions which cost me more than it should and my potential dream salon.

We were helped right away. Jesse took his time and made sure the cut was accurate and that my daughter was happy! She is biracial and I’m always nervous when new people cut her curly hair but Jesse did great and managed to please my picky 11 year old.

Wonderful experience. I walked in during their slow hours, and was able to get a haircut just the way I like it. (Please note I dont know many hair stylist terms, so Im glad it turned out the way it did.) Stylists were nice and helpful.

Had my hair done here 3 times. 2/3 times my haircuts were amazing. Unfortunately seems like they always hire new people and its hard to know who youll get.

Was just walking around the mall waiting to catch a movie and needed a haircut. When I walked up I was looking at the prices posted and couldnt figure out what I wanted. Kenzie came up to me and gave me reassurance about how much it would be. Kenzie was awesome and if I can get away with it, Ill be back again

My boyfriend got a terrible haircut yesterday.. three days before his graduation. It has made him very self-conscious and wanting to shave his whole head. The girl that cut his hair made one side way shorter than the other and left almost a bald spot in the back. We will not be coming back here again. Super disappointed and sad for him.. his whole day is now ruined because this stylist couldn’t even cut men’s hair. If she didn’t know how to do it she shouldn’t of taken him.. and at one point she even asked another stylist for help. Really?

I have always gone to MasterCuts ever since I’ve moved to Lubbock, despite their reviews. However, today I’ve decided not to ever go back to the facility. I walked in and was told that there was a 10-15 minute wait. Knowing the time limit, I decided to go walk around. I came back and checked to see if my name was called... it was. No problem. I waited around... well, customers continued leaving and no one was being called back. With an hour wait behind my belt, and looking at the row of empty chairs, I decided to leave. The customer service was extremely poor today. I would check elsewhere or listen to the reviews before wasting your time.

I always look for Jesse, if your not satisfied he will redo it to your style and satisfaction,but all of them are good. Short or long hair wth a style and color with highlight they are so good.

I asked for very natural highlights and paid extra to get as many as needed. The girl put basically the cheaper price worth of foils and made them completely chunky after I asked multiple times to make sure they were small and natural looking. I will never return! My hair looks horrible and now I will have to pay WAY more money out somewhere else to FIX my hair and then do it the right way. So dissapointing!

AJ is my stylist at MasterCuts. If you want a good haircut, go see her. I have had 3 cuts by her and each one is exactly what I asked for. She is very nice and if your not a stick in the mud you will have a laugh too. Do yourself a favor and go see AJ for your next haircut.

I was searching quite a while for a great stylist when I happened to find Tiffani S. at Mastercuts. She is absolutely amazing at what she does and is always so sweet. Highly recommend her and Mastercuts!

The lady literally ignored me when I told her what I wanted. (An undercut long on top so I could style it backwards or to the side) I told her that I Did NOT want it faded to which she replied, Ill make it look pretty. She faded the whole damn thing...

I have very thick & dry hair. Makes for a tricky combo apparently. It has taken me years and years going from one over priced salon to the next to find a good stylist. I will only allow Brittanee from mastercuts to touch my hair now. She really listens to what I want and gives me exactly what I ask for. Plus she isn’t afraid to use some fun colors!!! Brittanee is amazing❤️

First of all, this is the WORST place to get your hair cut! I have an undercut with about 6-8 inches of hair all around. Asked for my undercut to be at an EVEN 2 and the Lady cut it and then started to FADE IT. I NEVER WANTED A FREAKING FADE! I then asked her to layer and add texture to my hair and she kept on saying that I COULD NOT texturize my hair. 3 different stylists or should I say sorry excuses for cosmetologists, wanted to argue with me when I am not stupid, I cut hair and I dye it on a consistent basis and I know that my hair is texurizable. A different employee started to fix my hair and made it 1000x WORSE. Dont go here, they will anger you and ruin your hairstyle.

Made an appointment, still had to wait 30 minutes in a mile long line! I saw no one get helped in the entire half hour I was there!! Good for me that I had time to pull up google and read the reviews. They are absolutely true, worst place in lubbock for anything hair related. I strongly recommend literally any other place in town. The college kids do better work and are much more customer friendly!! What a sad little hole in the mall tsk tsk tsk

I went in for a haircut and got service immediately. It was busy, but plenty of staff were available and working. I did go in on a Sunday at 4pm if that gives anyone an idea on how busy it can get that day. My hair is thick and difficult to cut because it grows up and out. My hair has been damaged by bleaching and coloring (my fault), so I wanted to start fresh and get the dry damaged hair off. I wanted a faux mohawk with the sides cut off a bit. AJ (Hair Professional), took her time on me to make make sure it was done right. AJ has been the only one that has managed to tame my hair, and when she was done, I fell in love with my haircut! Ive never felt more confident! Ill be looking forward to giving them my business again. I highly recommend trying MasterCuts!

The poor guy that cut my hair had no idea what he was doing, I laughed as I left. Have the freakin guts to say that you dont know how to cut short hair or something, but so it goes with a cheap place and beginners. Will never go back!
