Truly hands down the BEST decision we made for our wedding was hiring Wild Light Films. I always knew video was something I wanted for our wedding, but with Covid making such an impact on our plans and so many of our friends and family no longer able to attend, it became that much more important. As a wedding planner, Ive seen a lot of wedding videos, but nothing quite like the work that Steven creates. I knew I wanted something different from the majority of what I had seen before. I didnt want something sappy and slow. I wanted it to feel more like you were watching a movie trailer than a wedding video and he delivered! At the beginning, I was a tiny bit nervous about hiring a vendor I had never worked with and was even in a different state, but from our first conversation, I knew that he was amazing and that our wedding was in good hands! Somehow he was able to do all of this magic on his own. You would have assumed 3 videographers were there! He got every important shot, every beautiful moment all the while never being imposing. Half the time I didnt even notice him around! I constantly watch our wedding videos over and over. He got us all of our videos within weeks of the wedding. I cried happy tears every time I got an email from him because that meant I was about to watch something special.

Having Wildlight film our special day was one of the easiest decisions we made during the course of planning our wedding and definitely one of the details we were most excited about.Just from the portfolio alone, we knew this was someone who clearly was passionate about his work. His taste in music, his appreciation for the small details, his style,even his warmth towards your wedding guests will put you at ease. I can’t tell you how many of my friends asked how I knew him, everyone was blown away by not only his professionalism but his friendly attitude.On that note, we also owe a HUGE personal thank you to Steven just for his kindness alone. Our wedding took place in New Orleans just one day before the city was getting ready to shut down and If you watch our video you would never have known. We were a bit concerned naturally and like a true professional Steven kept us uplifted and always seemed so calm and happy to be there. I can’t tell you how much that meant to us, only that we will never forget that.If I can offer anyone advice it’s to book Wildlight at any event that is important to you. Having these memories captured isn’t enough, it’s the way they are captured, the way they are valued and presented to you that will make you treasure your event so much more. I really feel Wildlight will do this for you better than anyone else. Do not pass this up!

We had a fantastic video re-edit experience with Steven, who rescued our wedding video. We hired a different videographer to shoot our wedding, but then she failed to deliver us an edited video as promised (and paid for!). After a year of waiting, we got our money back, and thankfully were sent by a trusted friend to Steven for help. He couldnt have been more understanding of our situation. He took our raw footage and delivered an amazing video in a very quick turnaround that is everything we ever wanted. His incredible talent is only exceeded by his friendly communication and his passion for great work. If you want an amazing video to remember your big day, dont think twice, hire him immediately. We hired WildLight Films because of their creative, unique, and extremely detailed approach to their wedding films. I have to say, their finished product for us was beyond what we could have imagined. It was utterly clear that literally every single piece of the video was well though out, tailored to the music that was playing, and in the perfect sequence to help us remember our perfect day. Oh. My. Goodness. What a treasure we now have because of Black & Hue Films (and Photography too). To be honest, I almost wasnt going to add on the film element but at the last minute (which I dont advise but thank the Lord, Steven was available for our Sunday wedding) we added it and I honestly would have been in tears without it. He captured the FEELINGS and movement and abundant joy of the day that wouldnt have otherwise been captured. When we watch the video (especially our 3 minute movie) you FEEL the day again. And thats awesome. It was the BEST day and I love that I can re-feel it at any time. Plus, some of our friends from overseas couldnt make it - and they were so overjoyed. They too said that they could feel the day from our video and that made us both happy. The entire B&H crew is just wonderful to work with and were such a joy to have a long for the ride on the day of...especially when a tornado came through just before our wedding. Have no fear...they always had a plan! Honestly, I cannot say enough about Black and Hue - I 100% would choose them again, I 100% recommend them to anyone that wants an amazing, quality wedding video to cherish for always, look awesome in it, and remember the day in a way that only video can, and I 100% give them 5 stars! I can’t say enough amazing things about Steven & Wild Light Films. When planning my wedding, video was always the most important thing to me, and what I was most excited for. The videos Steven created for us are better than we could have ever even imaged. I watched hundreds of wedding films and went through videographers on instagram, facebook, youtube, and vimeo every day looking for the perfect person. There are so many amazing videographers out there, but when I came across Wild Light Films, I was blown away! My wife and I commissioned Wild Light Films to do video for our wedding last October. My husband and I are absolutely in love with our wedding video. Steve did an amazing job capturing every part of the ceremony and the reception! I originally planned on having the entire Black and Hue team as part of my wedding day, but lost out on the photo team due to me dragging my feet on booking. When I found out they added Steven and video to their service about two months before my wedding, I jumped on it, and Im so glad I did! From running around our huge venue like a mad man trying to get all of my requested shots, to dealing with our pretty crappy venue staff with enthusiasm, he made such a difference in the overall feel of our day, just by being there. He has such a talent and an eye for the perfect shot, and you barely know hes there when it comes to being in your face. Ive seen some videographers who were really invasive in the crowd at other weddings and was afraid of that at my own, but Steven made a point to stay out of the way (for lack of a better phrase) without sacrificing great footage. He worked great with my photo team as well, who he had never met or even spoke to before that day. It took a little while (understandable) to get our video back, but it was SO worth the wait! We loved our wedding highlight video, and got so many compliments on it. He took any post editing requests I had in stride and had the re-edited video back to me in no time. The icing on the cake was getting back some raw footage of things that werent included in our highlight video. I totally wasnt expecting that!
