My girlfriend got contacted by the print department and we flew out to LA to meet with them. When we got there, she had an appointment and they were speaking to some older lady they were signing. We ended up waiting for almost an hour after scheduled appointment time, only to have a woman bring my girlfriend in and be very rude and abrupt with her before sending her away. Keep in mind my girlfriend has had contract offers from Wilhelmina, has walked for New York Fashion Week, Milan Fashion Week, and has been contacted by several large companies over in China, Korea, and Japan. She has a large social media following and has booked several principal roles in commercial without an agent. The next day she received an email saying that they would not sign her because there’s too many other girls “that look like her.” What is that even supposed to mean? A racist innuendo? While yes, this is a great agency if you’re looking to sign to the theatrical department, stay far away from the print department unless you’re looking to work for Depends Diapers or a bladder incontinence informercial! They are not looking for actual models.
