Every time when I need parts they’re very helpful.

It started out with a helpful rep over the phone who looked for this hard to find part and had it. My handyman went down there to purchase the part. The guys at the counter said it was not in stock but I had spent a bit of time emailing and communicating with Mark a picture of the part and he assured me he had it. So we had to ask for Mark and found out the part was indeed there. When my handyman received the part it was not in any sort of Packaging sealed plastic. Since we were desperate for the part we thought we would try it out. Got the part home got the heater working and within an hour and a half it stopped. I called this morning spoke to Mark again told him that the part is not working and he told me its not returnable. I told him you sold me a part that does not work it should be returnable it was not sealed it was not in any packaging and it does not work. Then he insisted that I bring my handymans license with me in order to return it since I didnt want to pay my handyman to return it. Super not happy! I dont have the time to go meet up with my handyman to get his license I dont want to pay my handyman to go down there and return it and theyre making it impossible and sold me a part that does not work. Bad business and I thought I had found a helpful guy in Mark but he turned around with a sorry cant help you not returnable bad customer service ending.

The absolute worst Customer service experience from so called manager Tony who doesnt even know his inventory or he just plain simple lazy uneducated Asian american. Im pretty sure theyre only open to the trades. I hope this review doesnt get non trades people going there and turned away. It turns out the Johnstones are independently owned this one in the Sun Valley one I think have the same owner and it shows. The best stocked and the most knowledgeable people at any Johnstone are here especially Don Stone the manager.

Love this place.To Respond to all the negative comments: 1) If you call just to ask a question you will wait or you might get lucky. Why? because their FOOT TRAFFIC is HEAVY, and they are attending all in person clientele (Ive witnessed it). 2) please make sure you know what you need (IN DETAIL !!!!!!!!!), they will not sell to you if you dont know what you need, for your equipments safety and your safety.Their are many all over the So Cal area, they are life savers when you are out on the road.

Was put on hold for a bout 20 minutes, then the guy who who finally got back on the line to help me didn’t answer my question and said “better just come over here,best way” and hung up. Ridiculous

Called to check stock on a simple humidifier filter. Was put on hold immediately when I called and left on hold for 14 minutes before calling back and getting the same clown. He answered the phone normally, and told me the part was out of stock. I thanked him for leaving me on hold for 15 minutes and he didnt apologize, nothing. wow.

Theyre very helpful, didnt have the parts i needed but refereed me to a place that did;

Im giving them one because of the fact they use the ignorance of some equipment installers and the customer to sell them equipment not suitable for the function needed. Based on what the installer stated, that he told them what it was used for and the tech is the one who selected the equipment and assured him they will work with no problems, the problem was when i called the manufacturs technical spicialist he advise me that i would have problems with the equipment mentioned they are not suitable for outdoor use and not suitable for the task we need them to preform. When i called them while ur on hold the automated announcment actually mention that if you tell them what the equipment is used for they will find you the proper ones, i guess the installer wss not lying after all. I had the installer follow up on this matter they have advised him that they will be calling me to discuss this matter and now its been a month no one has called.

Customer service is essentially NONEXISTENT at this location. I waited in line with only one counter representative for over 20 minutes until somebody came out from the back to help. There’s a reason why we never purchase from this Johnstone compared to the other locations.It’s obvious to say that the owner and the workers do not care about customers.

I like this store, service attitude is also very good, and very clean, the price was fair, come again!
