I was throughly impressed by Alteration Express. I needed last minute alterations done prior to a destination wedding and they got them done same day. I really dont think that I have ever owned such a well fitting suit, all thanks to Alteration Express!

I cannot recommend Alteration Express and Irenas work more! I was in search of a tailor for my wedding dress and was referred to Irena by a close friend. My friend does PR for high fashion designers and told me Id be in excellent hands since she trusts Irenas attention to detail on these very delicate and expensive dresses.I had a bad experience at a previous tailor (made comments about my body) so I was a bit nervous when I tried my dress on for the first time Irena and her team. They immediately made me feel at ease and were SO attentive and great listeners to what I wanted to change and what I wanted to keep.When I went back for the second fitting I almost cried tears of joy. The dress was PERFECT! I felt like a true bride and I was so touched my how personally invested they were in my dress.I also want to share how fairly priced she is! Every other tailor quoted me much more, likely the sentimental tax because they know its a very important dress.If youre looking for a tailor, see Irena and her team!Id post pictures of my dress but I havent gotten to wear it yet since my wedding was postponed due to COVID-19. I first learned of this gem from a friend who told me this business is used by top department stores as well as designers. I have never had clothes transform from “looking good” off the rack to “looks like it was custom made just for me.” Irena’s expert eye and superlative skills continue to delight and amaze every time I pick up another completed piece of clothing. I genuinely cannot recommend Irena and Alterations Express highly enough. If you have a new or favorite article of clothing and wish to see it look as good on you as you had hoped and imagined, THIS is the place. I’ve used many tailors and seamstresses over the years, and no one has come anywhere close to the quality of the work done here. And don’t let Irena fool you with her serious, no-nonsense approach. While those descriptions well-describe her work, she is in fact a lovely person who is easy to smile. I am without a doubt, a customer for life!

BELOW ARE ALL FAKE REVIEWSBy far the worst experience of my life. Let me start off by saying as I entered the store I got my first red flag. The woman there was screaming at a man telling him he was wrong about his alterations. He remained pretty quiet and distraught. She told him to leave more than once, while he stated none of his items were the way he asked her to take them in. I saw him wearing one and his arms were way longer than the sleeves. This is when I should have just left and found another place.I had a $500 dress that I bought two days before that had an amazing long train. I was needing it hemmed due to my height. I told her to leave the train and she pinned the way I wanted. She said that it would take another day than expected because it was more work. Everything seemed fine until I came back for the dress.As soon as I arrived two days later I received my dress and noticed there did not look like there was a train. I told her and she screamed Yes, its right, there is a train. I tried it on and started to tear up. THE ENTIRE TRAIN WAS GONE. I had a one length dress. I was so upset. This dress was a bridesmaids dress for a wedding I was headed to the following day. She then examined the dress and said I oops we messed up but its still fine, theres no problem. You can still wear it. At this point I was losing my mind for the fact that she was able to blow it off like there was no issue. I continued to ask her how this happened and she said I dont know, you must have told us to do this way. I left and called back and hour later and told her I needed the money for my dress. She was responsible for the mess. She told me to get a receipt and she would pay. I went home got the receipt and went back to the store to only get told I was a liar. She not only told me my receipt was fake, but that I bought a used dress!!! What?! I have the receipt with a picture of the same dress. It made no sense. She looked at the picture and the receipt and proceeded to tell me I was lying. Again and again I told her to please pay me since she said she would. Finally she said give me the receipt AND THE DRESS and she would look into it, but it would take about a week. Again WHAT??? Why would I give you the dress and the receipt? So you can sell it yourself and I am not only out $500, but also out a dress? It made no sense at all. She kept screaming and screaming at me. It was the most shocking experience I have ever had.DO NOT GO HERE AT ALL!!! They are crooks and lazy and do not care what happens to your clothing. I am not filing a civil case due to this entire experience. This was my last resort, but she has left me no choice due to the fact that I have tried multiple times to get my money as well as inform her of my next step.RUDE, AWFUL, UNQUALIFIED PEOPLE!!!!

Okay, legit. I needed my pants to get hemmed and I went in there with the suit. She has me try it on and points out that my jacket needs work as well. Very reasonable price, I got my pants hemmed and jacket fitted for $45! Oh, and same freaking day!!!

Great prices, great work! Transformed a sports coat that fit my father-in-law, who is 6 3, into a sport coat that perfectly fits me, and Im 3 inches shorter. Also, they did it for a very reasonable price, and very quickly.

Said they would shorten the bottom of a dress by the next day and would call when it was ready (pretty simple task). When I realized they hadnt called me, I called before they said they closed at 7:00 pm, but no one picked up. I didnt have my dress for a super important work trip. When I picked up my dress later, they played dumb.

Had to leave town in a day and they fixed me up for the next morning no extra charge. Great price, good sewing, friendly people :)

Kind of expensive but they hemmed my pants in like an hour, so not too bad
