This place is a rip off!! I have full coverage on my auto insurance and they charged me $100 for additional insurance because I didnt have my insurance paperwork and only had my insurance card. Plus the people there were so rude and made you feel you were bothering them. The whole experience was terrible! Dont be fool by the price they offer because when your done paying for the car you paid more money than other places.

This place scams people to get them in the middle of no where’s and than turn them away from receiving a vehicle. All this company needed to do is request insurance and deposit info in advance. They want a deposit and you to also pay your deductible up front. Save your time and go to REX Rentals hassle free and he saved my trip honestly. Just do your self the favor and skip this place or you will have serious regrets.

Economy rental car is a low budget rental car business. Their staff are friendly and helpful, but their cars are in bad condition, with prior body damage, dirty interior, and car maintenance is subpar ( tires were wore out, cracked tail light, turn signals on front didn’t work). I do not recommend getting a rental from here. It’s shame that they are not stepping up their game in the rental business with tons of competitors in the area.

This place is garbage! the shuttle to the rental counter is waiting on metro bus to drop you off a remote car rental lot then waiting again for the van to pick you up. took over an hour to get there! then the lady at the counter is rude and does not care. Then you have to wait again for them to find a vehicle and then wait again for someone to get your vehicle. then when you get the car it is dirty and busted and beat up! Never ever again!does not even earn 1 star!

If youre looking to get scammed with the old bait & switch technique, then come here. As mentioned in other reviews, ECONOMY will force you to pay additional mandatory coverage beyond your advertised price even if you provide them with proof of your own liability coverage. Definitely avoid.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Ive never had this many issues renting a car before. We got into an argument over car rental insurance as I pay extra for my car insurance already to cover rentals. I literally had to have my insurance company call this rental place to argue over it. Finally they gave in and let me rent a car. Then getting my dirty POS Nissan and driving around Los Angeles it was ROARING. I just would not recommend this place what so ever

If you like waiting in a random parking lot for over an hour after waiting and getting passed by multiple G-line buses to take you to said lot, this is the place for you. If you like being charged a $400-500 security deposit after prepaying for your rental, this is really the place for you. If you like your rental agreement saying the car was given to you with a full tank but your car is on 3/4 full, man! this is absolutely the place for you. Just pay the extra money and go somewhere FAR FROM HERE

DO NOT RENT THE CAR FROM THIS COMPANYHorrible rental car company,BAD customer service, UNSAFE cars.We booked them trough Priceline plus insurance.We had to wait 55min outside the LAX airport and another 1 hour on the street’s corner for their shuttle to pick us up, but that was just the bigining. When we got there they didn’t accept the insurance which I bought online and they said they have their own and I should purchase that. After we were waiting for another 2 hours they tried to give me the car with the completely bald tires, I complained they brought me another car without wiper blades and finally they gave me the car which I noticed it was damaged and was fixed by the cheap body man, that made me to look further and I saw all of their cars were involved in the major accident and they were repaired unprofessionally, I own the body shop and it was so easy for me to figured that out. Maybe that is the reason they don’t accept the insurance which offered online when you book their car because that insurance don’t pay for the repair if the car carries salvage title, make the story short we were out of the airport at 8:30 and left the rental car office around 1:00 in the afternoon with the salvage rental car.

The absolute worst! The employees try to do their best but management(Arnold) is ATROCIOUS! He has a horrible attitude and doesnt do much to help at all. The wait was over an hour, not including the other hour we had to wait just to get a shuttle to the place. When I finally got the car it was dirty. The pictures only show the outside but the inside was disgusting. I didnt even get in to take pics. This is during COVID so cleanliness is a MUST! This place needs to be shut down or be Under New Management. Youre not getting a better price just worst service.

Theres NOTHING ECONOMY about it. I just got nickeled and dimed to death! I wouldve been better off using one of the larger Rental Car companies. I have my own insurance that covers my Rental Cars, and because my Policy wasnt Full Coverage on my own Vehicles, I was charged extra $17 dollars a day. I will never forget this company, because they will never Receive My Business Again, or any of my Office Associates!

This place is essentially a scam. They quote below market rates when you book. When you arrive they force you to accept their insurance which is $30-$50 per day. At that rate you’re better off with a national chain and you’d probably pay less. On top that they charge a $500 security deposit. I wasted my time coming here.

This is one of those scammy, sketchy, how-is-this-place-allowed-to-be-open type of places. Heed my warning, avoid!I booked a car on Priceline at a good price, checked the confirmation emails and Economy website to make sure everything would go smoothly. Took 2 shuttles from LAX to get there (green line and private shuttle). Gave them my license and credit card, was told I needed insurance, which they can provide at $28/day (thereby being more expensive than all major rental companies like National). No problem, I have auto insurance (and credit card insurance). Then they said they need the insurance card or policy number and that I could call the auto insurance company. Okay, I call them, am on hold, but manage to find screenshots clearly from the auto insurance site my policy number and coverage amounts, which I eagerly share. I am ignored. When I get their attention, I get No. Now they claim that they never asked for the policy number, that they need the full detailed coverage of liability document. Total gaslighting and adding new requirements after every step! I ask them to cancel and refund my reservation, which they agree to—time will tell if I need to dispute this with my CC company. I go to national/enterprise/Alamo and am greeted with kind and friendly reps every step of the way. How I missed interacting with folks who understand customer service

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. Where do I even begin. First getting here from the airport was a nightmare. I had to jump on a bus from another car rental place and walk here. Apparently there’s an airport shuttle that takes you to a random location and then they have a shuttle that picks you up but I waited almost an hour at the airport for this “mystery” shuttle and it didn’t come. They rented me a car that had the worst acceleration and had 65,000 miles on it. I’ve rented many cars in my life and have never seen one with that many miles. Usually they’re retired out. Well a few hours after having the car (mind you, at this point I had driven a total of like 20 miles), it started making a really loud scraping noise whenever I turned or accelerated. It also sounded like the breaks were gonna give out. I was really scared to drive it so I had to come back the next day to exchange out the rental. Which resulted in me having to rearrange my entire next day since they opened at 8am. I get there and want to speak to a manager since I want a refund for the day I couldn’t use the car out of fear I would end up in an accident and THERES NO MANAGER UNTIL A FEW DAYS LATER? What kind of business doesn’t have a manager in for a few days?!I still haven’t spoken to one but this is unacceptable. Not to mention I waited almost 30 mins for their airport shuttle to arrive and it never did so I had to take an Uber back to the airport. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I would literally take transit over renting a car here.

Like anyone reviews. I booked via Priceline and did not pay attention who is the rental company. Wait 2 hrs from LAX to their location ( 2 miles away), Waited another hours to talk with front desk. They want $400 deposit and buy their insurance. This place is scammed. I walked away after 3 hrs of wait. Called Priceline and they refunded. STAY AWAY FROM ECONOMY CAR RENTAL THIEF.

Just avoid. High deposit of 500$ for a debit card and 400$ for a credit card. High collision costs when added on. They don’t accept Priceline’s collision coverage either. If you add it like I did and pay for it through Priceline, they tell you to call Priceline yourself to get it reimbursed. It’s just a big hassle. The lady that helped me was very nice and the experience itself was just fine. Unfortunately, good customer service can’t make up for a bad company. Economy rent-a-car as a whole is not as “economy” as they lead you to believe.

Perhaps the worst rental experience I’ve ever had. First, there is no shuttle to the rental office. You take a the LAX transit shuttle to a random parking lot where someone will meet you in a minivan to drive you to the rental office. Took 30 min of waiting and 45 minutes at the counter to have my online reservation processed. Do not purchase any insurance through your third party booking site because they will not honour it and you’ll have to purchase their insurance. Same goes for credit card insurance. Whatever you thought you saved by going with this company, you are going to pay in their insurance. They also don’t have the ability to extend rentals without you coming in so you’ll have to drive from wherever you are back to the rental office to extend and wait in line again.

The manager and sales associate lack the number one skill which is CUSTOMER SERVICE! Worse rental experience ever. I booked this reservation through Priceline bought the car insurance coverage through Priceline and when I get to the counter the girl tells me that they don’t accept it. She said see it says right here on my window and I said why doesn’t it state that when I booked it? Or course she doesn’t know why. So she proceeds to ask me for to see my auto policy in which she wants to see the declaration page. Of course this is not a document that I carry on me but I happened to have an older copy on my laptop. I showed her the policy and the coverage breakdown on my laptop and I showed her my auto ID card on my phone but she was not satisfied because the documents were not together on the same screen. I clearly pointed out to her that the policy number on both screens are the exact same one and showed her that the policy is in full effect but she would not accept it and I had to go to my hotel walk to my hotel that is to download the most current declaration page. When I get back to the rental place and show her all the information she informs me that my car has been rented out and they don’t have any more cars available.

This was the worst car rental experience I have had in my 20yrs of renting cars. 1st there were no clear cut instructions on how to get to the car rental place. We waited 30 mins before we called the number watching every other rental shuttle pick up there customers. We called the number to find out we had to take a shuttle for airport workers and the public. Then the shuttle dropped us off and we had to wait 20 more minutes with a brunch of people who also lost more than an hour getting to that point. Then another shuttle picked us up and shoved 9 people and bags into one van and dropped us of at a shady establishment. This took about 25 mins and then they gave me a 2018 Hyundai with dents and a horn that didn’t work. It was almost like I was driving my own car. Then the salesman told me that I basically had to purchase their toll pass or I would have to pay $190 fine if I went through a toll. He told me there were no other options other than going to Costco and purchasing a device for $135 and loading it. Then they only had one fan taking customer to the airport. They say it comes every 15 minutes, but we waited 25 to 30 minutes. Just the worst. I will pay the additional $50 for 3 days and go with another rental company. Allied Rental/ Economy Car Rental is definitely a hard pass. Only positives were the drivers. They were great going and coming. Staff was nice other than lying to me about the tolls.

The reason that I rated one star, is because I cannot put an zero star on it.Terrible experience, on top of 400 dollars deposits, every one more day you extend the contract, you need to pay for 190 roughly, per day, for a lousy car.My experience, not a clean car, mean attitude to customers, and these are not the worst.One day after I extended my contract, they texted me and I texted back with an confirmed return day. That’s it. No response from them anymore.The next day I called them, they threatened me that they already sent a police report, indicating that we are on police warrant…You don’t treat your customers like thieves, and do I look like Vin Diesel to you?They charged me nearly 400 dollars, for two extended days. The first two day cost me $115.For your reference, stay away from this rental company, these are literally robbery, no joke.

Please DO NOT EVER RENT FROM THIS PLACE! You make a reservation for one thing when you get there its something else. They want to charge you $500 extra on a Debit card and $400 on a Credit card. And you may not EVER get that extra money back because they can say you did some sort of damage. The place to rent the car from is so small and dingy and unclean. We went to Enterprise who took very good care of us. This was our first time in California and this was not a good look.

This is our terrible experience:1) Despite doing online booking and having only one person in-front of the counter, it took us 2hrs to get the vehicle.2) They are not accepting any travel website insurance or credit card insurance for no reason at all and made us buy their own insurance. So We paid $52 for priceline insurance which they didnt accept and they made us buy the same offering at $200. So whatever saving that you think you were getting is gone after adding up the insurance

If I could put negative stars I would. I feel bad for all the people like myself who got stuck with this reservation via priceline. Cant use your CC insurance, have to bring proof of full coverage via a declaration page . If not pay $12.95. You shouldnt be the company Priceline books with since you have all these stipulations. As well the others who saw the great price too you and up waiting in that line 2 hours! As a heads up dont come late to drop off. I saw people there who must have been out back needing to return their car who must have waited a while before going in and a worker got an attitude with them for coming.

Just spoke to a lady on the phone here is she was very rude to me! She word for word said “our conversation is done”. Is trying to charge us more then she’s suppose to. Don’t book here! They charge you $500 deposit. Very disrespectful and very unhelpful. You shouldn’t be in customer service.

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had. 1) they did not take the insurance that I paid for through Priceline and now I have to jump through hoops just to get a refund on it, 2) the customer service is absolutely horrible and 3) when I tried to call over the phone to extend my rental by two days, I was on hold for TWO HOURS simply to be told that I had to come in person. Although the pricing seems incredible, the experience is not worth the struggle whatsoever. PLEASE do yourself a favor and stay away from this business. I wish I would’ve read the reviews prior renting, but we all learn from our own mistakes and I hope that you listen to the countless amount of horrible reviews this establishment has.

Believe the hype! Soooo bad! We rented through Priceline, and got a good deal. They dont accept car insurance through a credit card, like literally every other car rental company does and Priceline did not disclose this. So we were charged an additional $80 on top of our rental price, that was the cheapest they offered, and it only covered scratches and dents, so we were super stressed about it the whole time. Rude staff, and the place looks like a hot mess. We had to take a bus to a random parking lot, then wait for their shuttle. On the way home, the shuttle took forever to arrive, so we just waited in their back alley by the dumpsters for a half hour, hoping they would come soon. Horrible, horrible, do not book with them, its all a bait and switch to trap you at their office and force you to pay more money, then make you stress the entire vacation that you wont get your deposit back!!

My flight got delayed then I waited 30mins for there shuttle, it leaves us in a empty parking lot and waited over 30mins for there van to take us to the rent a car place. When I get there they say your late and gave away my car!!! Then told me they cant do anything but charge me more money for another car! I asked for the manager and explained that we waited for their shuttle then van and Im not looking for a discount but to kindly honor the price. The manager Robert was so rude and obnoxious, no care at all. I have never written a bad review before but this was mind blowing! I would most definitely not recommend them, I would rather walk then work with them.

This is the worst place I have ever rented a car. They’re so dishonest. First they charged me more than they should’ve, I showed them all my insurance information and they still charged me a collision fee. Then I prepaid for gas because they said my car was full of gas and that I just need to be returned empty, the car had a quarter tank of gas.We had a family emergency and had to fly out from a different city, the airlines were awesome and so accommodating, I called this location and told them our situation and they were nit compassionate what so ever, I asked for the corporate office and they hung up on me. I called back and asked for both names of who I talked to and they told me they didn’t need to give me that information and to call corporate and to figure it out, they had done very thing they could to help me. They told me to leave our car at our hotel and they’d pick it up. They wouldnt give me a price what it would cost me. I have NEVER been treated so poorly by a company. DO NOT USE THEM!! Employees are rude and told me it was my fault I didn’t comprehend. I comprehended clearly and couldn’t believe the mentality of their employees. Lesson learned to never go with this company

PLEASE READ: DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM HERE; FROM THEIR WEBSITE OR A THIRD PARTY!!!A one star rating is too generous for this odious establishment. Their customer service is horrifying. First hand experience: they yelled at me in the lobby for asking a question, telling me it was too bad so sad. They also yelled at the customers that went before me. Even though their website states you can have unlimited mileage for an out of state license, they said if I wanted to leave the Los Angeles Area, I had to pay extra, which was another $200 in fees. Also, their website does not state you cannot leave the state of California, only that you cannot go into Canada or Mexico, but they said leaving the state is a no no. Then they wanted to charge me an extra $41 per day because they did not have the car I rented a week prior, so if I wanted a car, I had to pay extra for a different car, and that was not their problem but my own. The deposit on the car was $400 with a credit card, and $500 if I used a debit card, and no, they do not put a hold on your card. They take the money right then and there. I decided I did not want to rent from there, as everything was extremely unprofessional, but guess what? They would not refund my money, even though they messed up my reservation! When talking with the manager, he stated there was nothing he could because this was not their fault, so I should either pay the extra, or cancel. Either way, I would be losing my money.Save yourself some time, and a headache. Rent from somewhere else, even if it shows cheap prices. They will play you like a fiddle, and swindle money out of you one way or another.

I would not give this car rental agency even 1 star. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. We rented the car via an Express Deal from Priceline, assuming that Priceline would only provide reputable car rental agencies. We had to take a bus, then wait for a van to get to Economy Rental Car from LAX. It was a difficult trip with kids and luggage. When we got there we got what was reserved (though it smelled heavily of cigarette smoke). The real problems began when we returned the car. Our drop off time was 6:00 on Saturday. At pickup, no one told us the office closes at 6:00 on Saturday or that the shuttle back to the airport doesnt run after 5:30 on Saturday. The employees basically pushed us out the door and locked the door behind us. I asked, on the way out, about public transportation back to the airport, and they said they didnt know where to go. So, I paid over $50 for an Uber back to the airport. I called the manager, Arnold, and he was very rude and hung up on me.

Rented a car with them for the first and last time. They tried to up charge 30 per day for insurance even though its provided through my credit card. When I finally get the car its covered in dents and dings, but to make matters worse it shakes like its going through withdrawals and squeaks like theres a family of mice in the car all of this on highway roads. Getting to the facility from LAX, you have to take two shuttles!!! Worst experience Ive had renting a car. I was here for a total of 1.5 hours just to get a car I had already reserved. We waited for over 30 mins to get to the counter. When getting my reservation pulled up there was an issue with their system and they ended up charging me $115 more than my original reservation. We then waited another 30 mins for our car and they showed up with one that wasnt the one I reserved and that wasnt on the contract. I had to request a new contract b/c they were going to let me leave with the inaccurate car listed on the contract. After getting into this car they decided to switch up, it was not cleaned. The dash had make up hand prints on it and the seats were covered with glitter.

Not sure how this company is still in business and why people keep coming here... The worst part of this experience was the wasted time between the airport and the business - we waited 40 mins for a bus at the airport, unloaded, and were expected to wait another 30 mins for ANOTHER shuttle. By the time we got there, our $360 rental car was $575 from hidden fees.Save yourself the hassle, money, and time: just go with a respectable company instead.

The rental process took forever, Ive never had an insurance company deny my personal insurance and I use major companies and rent cars every single week for work. I had to pay an additional $200 just to get my car because of added fees they tacked on at the counter. After FINALLY completing the long drawn out process I had to wait over 30 minutes just for them to bring me the car because there was only 1 guy retrieving them and a ton of people were still waiting ahead of me. The ONLY reason I went through with the rental is because Priceline would NOT allow me to cancel even as an exception considering Ive used Priceline to book my rentals for months and I rent every single week as well as the fact that I had an hour to pick my boss up from the airport and work. The lady that I was talking to on the phone was really rude and hang up on me without even giving me an answer And breakdown of the charges, then I tried calling again just to get an answers about the charges but they didn’t pick up the phone even tho I called several times. The one star is just being nice.The place is GROSS!! They have cardboard boxes taped on the ground like door mats. They don’t advertise any deposits but when you get there they charge a $400-$500 deposit!! They cars aren’t even newer cars. Super hold and didn’t sound like it drove too well. They said the insurance I purchased on Priceline was invalid with them, they forced me to purchase their own insurance ( which cost over 70 per day). Also, they refused to show me the insurance policy, totally scam ! Paid over $200 per day (not the original $60 from Priceline). I made my reservation through priceline for a standard sized suv. When I got to economy rent a car, they pulled up in a subcompact suv. I showed the representative my confirmation email from priceline and her supervisor kept saying the reservation was for a intermediate sized suv. Either way, the suv they tried to give me was not an intermediate size at all. After a few minutes of going back and forth, the rep said they didnt have any standard sized suvs and that the only thing they could do was give me a mini van. Having no choice but to take the minivan i filled out the paperwork and signed for the vehicle. At that time, the supervisor said it will cost me an extra 15 a day because they upgraded my rental. I couldnt believe what was happening. On top of that, they try to hard sell you on purchasing their insurance plan for the vehicle which was another 120. I explained my Amex cc fully coverer rental cars but they kept saying it wouldnt and that if anything were to happen, Id be fully responsible and would lose my 400 deposit. I knew something wasnt right with this rental car agency from the moment i walked into their lobby. It literally took 3 people almost 5 minutes to acknowledge my presence. And to top things off, the vehicle interior was not cleaned and had liquid stain marks on the dashboard with crumbs littered throughtout the cabin. I have never had such an experience renting a car in my whole life. I would strongly recommend avoiding this agency at all cost. It would be better to pay a few more dollars and use a national car rental agency.

If I could give ZERO than I would. I recommend everyone to stay away from this place. Their car smelled of weed and cigarettes. They force you to get insurance from them..even though my VISA and my insurance covers rental car. They took 2 HOURS to pick me up and no one answered call. Top of that shuttle driver had open liquor rolling around by his feet. I DID NOT rent and ended up taking Uber.

My mother rented a car from here for the weekend. The service was fast and friendly though the staff rushed through the explanation of how to operate the vehicle. Id recommend this place simply based on the convenience of being able to reserve a car and pick it up on the same day.

If there was a negative icon I would give this place a negative 10 stars. This was the worst rental car experience that I ever had. From the customer service all the way down to the cars. I rented from the LAX location. I rented through expedia and added the extra insurance. Economy told me they didnt accept that insurance. Then they sent me through hoops. Now when I got the 1st car it was horrible. It was dinged in multiple places. They gave me another car that was worse than the other. it looked like a friend had a car in the garage that they let me borrow. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND NEVER USE THIS PLACE!

Amy was our front desk lady who was super nice and polite. she got our car quickly and explained everything that was expected of us. There was an added charge, that I chose to add on. The car was in good condition and clean and full of gas. Overall it was a good experience.

This place is soooooooShady. You can book with priceline and they will not accept their insurance once you get there. There insurance is 55 a day more than car rental itself. And they want to hold 400 dollars for a deposit. Please stay clear

Never been so upset by a car rental place. The entire thing was sketchy. Initially they wanted a $350 deposit, which is unusual. The car had clearly been in a wreck as the steering was not fully functional, there was damage to the car, and occasionally the RPMs would just drop. The location to rent isnt near the other rental cars. It is in a parking garage. They are now coming for us for damage we did not incur. Do not rent from here.

Said I was to late to get the car I had reservations for so had to upgrade to a full size suv. Fail to tell me they won’t open till 8 am even though he knew I would fly out early. Had to get a lift driver to pic me up. The insurance I bought online through them he said they don’t use them anymore so now I have to try and get my money back somehow on that. Will never recommend this company to anyone.

Had to take the pink shuttle bus, then another shuttle from the bus stop to the rental car company. They actually charge US$200 as deposit instead of holding the amount, like most hotels do. They also added on some unexpected insurance charges which I was not charged when I booked online. Car was good and the $200 was eventually refunded, but they wanted me to leave before I got a receipt for the refund, apparently because the shuttle bus was leaving. I refused and waited for a receipt. Had to then wait a long time for the shuttle bus until a nice employee helped me call the shuttle bus driver. Drop off was straight at my terminal, so that is great.They probably make money charging people extra at the counter when online is cheaper. I dont know if there is some specific law for LA but I would have chosen another company had I known I was going to be charged $89 instead of $53 a day as I booked online.But Im glad the car was good and comfortable and there are a couple of good employees in the company which help to keep it honest.

This place is a scam. They make you purchase their insurance and they basically force you to pay a very high deposit for the car, $500 or $400 dollars. Don’t waste your time. Go elsewhere and they will have lower deposit. They also take your deposit and try to justify why they did it. I had to fight with them to get my deposit back and the car came back in the exact same condition as I rented it!!!!! Save yourself the headache. Go some place else.

Beware of that the actually price of renting a car from here will DOUBLE from your reservation price and there is some sketchy lying stuff going on here. I purchased collision insurance with reservation online but when I got there they told me I HAD TO get liability insurance and collision insurance was not mandatory (??). Girl I came with also got a car and they only made her get collision insurance. She said they didn’t make her buy liability insurance. After she was upset and told them her booking price doubled they gave her a discount and upgraded her for free. What is this???!I called them back to discuss them making me buy liability after girl was told she didn’t need liability and only needed collision (literally opposite of what I was told) and they said they make you get collision and liability. She said what happened with my friend was not true (yeah okay) and I was told wrong (from your own employee?!)But operator couldn’t answer basic question. She kept asking me for my information before answering question of which insurance types do they require? She said “I don’t even know you to answer that question” what kind of professional answer is this?!Will not be renting from them again.

First let’s talk about the ridiculous $500 security deposit. I never even paid that amount for staying in a hotel. On top of that $150 in hidden debt card fees. They should change the name to something other than economy. I wouldn’t recommend this place if saving a few dollars is your goal.

This is the worse rental car experience I have ever had!!! It located at a remote rental lot which is not easy to get to. took them an hour to get me a car without a line. then almost no gas in the car. I requested to have gas added to the car so I can drive it at least then they told me will take another half an hour.

Car was extremely dirty and really the worst car from rental cars I booked last time. When I came there they said me that I must gave 400$ deposit, but before I came there I called and guy said me that in this location is only 300$ deposit. When I returned car I got a receipt that Im okay and manager said me that Im good to go. Next few days I see on my bank that they charged me for 85$. When I called them they said that the missed wheel cap and charged me for that. For next question how that possible if they said me Im good to go - he said that I can dispute transaction and there is nothin to talk about. The worst company ever.

I did not listen to the reviews and we decided to use this rental company from LAX airport website. We only needed to rent the car for a 5hr layover to see a few sites before flying back out. They wanted to charge us a $300+ deposit fee even though we were using a credit card. We explained that we were only needing it for a couple of hours and we have our flight tickets. This was not told to us beforehand. This is not the process in Texas (where we currently live).Also this place looks like we are in the middle of the hood. It is NOT located at the airport. The staff members are very rude. The lady with short blonde hair and faded sides, was the worse. The shuttle driver was rude as well. By the way, the shuttle bus is a black van with Economy taped in the window. The airport shuttle takes you to this warehouse drop off and this black van pulls up to pick you up and take you to this strip of rent car places which looks sketchy.Completely ruined our plans and wasted our time.Please dont disregard the reviews. I truly wish I wouldnt have either. This place needs to be inspected because I know some corners are being cut and maybe even laws broken the way they operate.

Agent at the check in desk did not mention anything about California toll roads, or the “FastTrak” system which they are supposed to offer. After I turned in the car, I called to ask about how to pay the tolls and they agent just said “You should have gotten the FastTrak system”, and that they would just add the fine to my credit card. When I questioned the agent about why the FastTrak was not offered at time of checkin, she hung up on me. Very poor customer service. I would not recommend doing business with them.

The agent told me that could not be done! The agent told me that Economy Rental Car charged a MANDATORY insurance fee that other rental car companies include in their pricing but they do not. After dropping off my vehicle I found out that I could have decline their insurance if I was paying with a major credit card and had my own insurance! — I had both! If I could give this a zero star, I absolutely would. This is the worst customer service I have ever received! Their complete lack of professionalism is appalling! They fully took advantage of a situation and added ridiculous charges. I will never make the mistake of using this company again and will urge others to not get tricked into their scams either! This place is a scam! They rush through puck-up to truck you into fees and costs you don’t agree too. The agent is a ConArtist. The cars smell like a weed-Infested club full of vomit. They are rude and indignant, knowingly lie to the customer. Do not rent from here. They accused me of smoking in the car. To begin I can’t smoke due to medical reasons, I was their on my own for work, and thirdly I didn’t have the time. They will use smoking as a excuse to take your security deposit and a extra fee. It’s okay my lawyers are getting involved.

Like many said they move shady. The first thing they said was local renters only get 150 miles. Of course this was the first thing because on my reservation it clearly said UNLIMITED. I asked how they could clearly present this false advertising and they. Lamed it on Priceline. My question is if you claim they are giving customers the wrong information FIX IT. The price doubled they claimed my full coverage car insurance didn’t coverage enough for them. They also charged more then advertised for the insurance coverage claiming it was because I had a “big” vehicle...WTH . The mini van I was given was FILTHY. And clearly had been in an accident. It was old and didn’t even have connections for me to play music. They hold 400 on your credit card and 500 on a debit. This was the first and absolutely last time I’ll be renting! Bait and switch tactics all day!
