Wonderful retirement dinner and Wonderful staff! Staff was very helpful when I needed to use the restroom.

Our walk in Elysian park and in proximity of the lodge was very relaxing. Nearby, you can see a lovingly maintained garden area. It even offered refreshment for your canine friend.The park is quite expansive. Therefore, social distancing was not too difficult to maintain. Fellow visitors to the park were conscious of COVID-19 and wore a mask on this Saturday afternoon in early March 2021.

This banquet hall is named after a park activist who helped save Elysian Park from commercial development. Her love of open space, insured for the citizens of Los Angeles, that a huge Convention Center, would not be built in the middle of the park. She passed away a couple of decades ago, never knowing that this facility was going to be built in her name. Currently closed for landscape renovation along with irrigation upgrades.

I worked a wedding as a dj at this venue. Decent place. They don’t provide much except the hall, not the fanciest place. But better than many I’ve been at. They do make u shut the music off pretty early. 10:45 this time.

Came here for a friends wedding and it’s a hidden gem. Tucked away just north of dodger stadium, you get the privacy and intimacy of a private event but the geographical awareness of being close to one of the most iconic locations in LA! The pond is beautiful and the lodge/reception room is adequately sized and well maintained.

Elysian park in general has endless areas to hang out and picnic! This particular area had an ice cream truck stationed which was nice but I guess it’s not as quiet as other locations if you wanted a quiet spot to chill (but then again you can walk 2 min in the opposite direction and you would be fine)

Love the location and very reasonable price. Staff can use a little training on customer service BUT some of them are so friendly you forget about it AND their security is amazing.

Wonderful place for an event! Very beautiful! It’s a hidden gem that most completely miss on the way to Dodger Stadium. I highly recommend hiring Lisa Aguilar to transform the plain looking hall and outside patio into an amazing and elegant wonderland!! She will not only take care of everything she also helps above and beyond what she is hired for!! She saved our behinds with our daughter’s Sweet 16!! From recommendations of food and advice to making sure our guests were all taken care of! She even had her amazing crew clean up!! Ask for her at the office, you will not be disappointed with the not only amazing, but very professional service!! We will be hiring for our next daughter’s party as well!!

Great location for a wedding. Outdoor ceremony with the sound to the water feature; indoor reception. Its not a hotel so you have to bring in vendors to supply everything for the lodge. Lovely wood beam and metal ceiling. Great for simple or rustic affairs.

We had scheduled our wedding here for October 24 of this year (after rescheduling it from May 30). We knew that with COVID things would be touch and go, but our wedding planner had told us to hold off until June before we made any decisions to further postpone. We had vendors lined up, had made deposits, etc, and then, today, out of the blue, the Lodge emailed us to let us know that they were canceling all events until April 2021 for a landscaping project. Really unsympathetic and unceremonious way to do it. In addition: you cant play music outdoors. You cant put anything in the pool (floating flowers, etc). Theres a back gate that youre not allowed to open. You cant play games on the lawn. You cant hang anything from the ceiling indoors. Half of the cover for the area where the ceremony was supposed to happen fell down during the spring, and they have made no effort to repair it. There are a few other repairs that need to be made, and havent been made during the months (and MONTHS) we have been visiting the lodge to take specs and make plans on how to decorate the space. Overall, Im so disappointed we wasted all this time, and how unprofessionally the cancelation of events was handled by staff.

The outdoors are great views. Waterfall and fountain just outside the hall.Have options if you want alcohol or.not. great pricing. Alcohol is extra for more security. You bring your own food which is great. You do have to out by the the time you book it.Parking is a walk but ok.

Beautiful area, and a nice place to turn in your voting ballot. I believe Grace Lodge has wedding receptions there as well.

The out side is beautiful with a backyard of sorts perfect for pictures. The actual banquet hall is however not quite as nice. It looks more like an elementary schools auditorium. Its small and bland looking. Otherwise, stunning.

I would like to use this place for a Spring or Fall venue.

Love this place!!, Ive had passed many times before but never had i ventured its grounds. Beyond peaceful to when you walk up to the bottom of the water fountain, once you make it further up to the small bridge its even better. Its a great place to just sit & relax & read a book or chill

I had my daughter Quinceanera party and it was amazing Lisa and her team are awesome they are so professional and on top of everything , the place was so Beautiful and magical , my Family and Friends were thrilled with the place we had so much fun and loved the decorations , I recommend it to everyone, if you want your party to be a success just call Lisa and her team they are just so good at what they do. I will definitely use them again 👍🏻

Booked an event. The decorator they use will be out of town on my event day. I called to receive another referral. The lady that answered the phone was nice. But her boss told her to tell me to find my own decorator. I thought that was so rude and unprofessional, I am not sure if I will have my event her now :(

Recently had my wedding there. Was looking around various venues trying to find the right one. When I came across this one it was just perfect. The staff was of great help to everything I needed. Very friendly and polite. No complains at all about this place. Strongly recommend it. Has a very beautiful outside scenery and very clean inside hall. If your in need of a wedding planner I Higley recommend to ask for Lisa Aguilar to host your wedding or event. I got her services and it was the best. Her decorations where better than expected she was very Profesional and Im more than glad to say I have no regrets on her services. I didnt have to worry about a single thing on that day thanks to Lisa for always giving out that extra work.

This is a nice park, but on some weekends, especially if it is a holiday, parking is almost impossible. There are times when I have parked at an office park a mile away and walked.

Check it out sometime. There arent any rmployees because of cutbacks so they didnt bust our balls. Usually they ( parks & rec) do.

A place for me special for clean and private romantic weddings has its area for ceremony has a place of open air and a room that in my opinion is for 100 people to give space to the dance.

Its really nice clean,they have all you need for a party oh reunion out door.

Beautiful place but, This place has horrible customer Service... No one ever answers the phone. This is very frustrating especially because I booked my wedding here and need to speak to someone and now I want to cancel and have it somewhere else. A waste of a beautiful place.

My wife and I enjoyed taking morning hikes at Elysian Park and we remember listening to a waterfall at a distance. We decided to visit the waterfall and discovered a beautiful bridge surrounded by water; Grace E. Simons Lodge is the venue we found. Four years later, I proposed to my wife and the wedding planning began. We called Grace E. Simons Lodge to schedule a tour; the staff was very professional and helpful. After the tour, a staff member gave us various recommendations, everything from music to a wedding coordinator.We were interested in hiring a wedding coordinator and we were introduced to Lisa Aguilars work. A few days later, we contacted Lisa and booked an appointment. We met with both Lisa and her daughter, Evelyn, who were not only professional, but also provided us with creative ideas for our wedding day. Lisa and her family have experience decorating Grace E. Simons Lodge for weddings and other events. We met with Lisa countless times and she was receptive to our needs.On our wedding day, Lisa and her family took care of every detail, such as, indoor and outdoor decor. She made sure our guests had Mexican sweet bread, cafe con leche, and aguas frescas after the ceremony ended. She also managed to become our wedding host alongside Evelyn and took care of our guests, food, games, music (playlist), and cake cutting. They made sure our day ran smoothly and took care of cleaning up after the event. Another benefit of hiring Lisa is that she knows the venues guidelines and therefore our deposit was refunded.We are very thankful for Lisas work ethic and professionalism and mostly for making our wedding day a dream come true. We highly recommend Lisa as an event coordinator/decorator.
