I am absolutely mortified with the experience I am currently having with Lewis And Lewis insurance agency. There is a person there named JORDAN who is highly incompetent. He has poor customer service skills, and in fact, hung up on me. He refused to listen to me and told me I was LYING. I am licensed Clinical social Worker licensed at the level of independent private practice. I have done home assessments for adoptions and foster care, patient evaluations, Was a behavioral health case manager for an INSURANCE company, and have testified in court as an expert witness for residential treatment cases, custody cases, and forensic cases. On Monday, Jim Lewis told me that, We will fight for your case, we will do everything in our power to get your case paid. Jordan has been pretty good at handling these things, I will give it to him. We will do everything we can to be certain this case is taken care of. JORDAN is not good at handling these things. He replied to me initially with the WRONG claim number. He had not read my emails prior to talking to me on the telephone. I am in a situation, where my husband was driving my truck, fully licensed, and was T-boned by a Mexican Police Car. The Qualitas adjuster requested 20,000 pesos to settle the claim - a bribe. My husband did not pay it. So the police issued a ticket for him being an unlicensed driver, at the advice of the adjuster. KNOWING that the claim would not be paid if he was unlicensed. He gave his license at the scene. And JORDAN also has a copy of said license. My truck was towed and impounded. JORDAN never once called me to update me on the progress of our case. He was unable to tell me where my vehicle was. (I still dont know where it is.) He did not forward ALL of the photographic evidence, and emails to the Adjusters manager. Every day he told me a different story and that I would get an email or phone call by the end of the day. Yesterday supposedly I was going to get an email from him as to the assigned lawyer for the case. Never got one. He openly said to me that I LIED. I never once have told him an untruth, but he has told me many. He is highly unmotivated and has the worst customer service skills I have ever experienced. A corrupt police department and a corrupt adjuster colluded to extort my husband of 20,000 pesos and He said I am lying. The same adjuster FORGED the accident report and FORGED (badly) , my husbands signature. I do not know where my truck is (6 days after the claim). I am not a Karen. I am not a liar (How could I give expert court testimonies if I was? Or keep my license with zero ethical violations in 34 years?) I did not yell at him. All he did was talk over the top of me, not believe this horrific experience we are having, call me a liar, and advise us to pay the ticket for being unlicensed ( which would cost us the claim) There is easily 7-9000 dollars worth of damage to my truck. We do not know its where abouts, and we have been called liars by an INSURANCE AGENT. I still owe 12,000 on my vehicle. Jordan is a horrible agent and has very bad customer service skills. I will be finding a different insurance agency. DO NOT USE THESE CHARLATANS.

I requested a proposal for 2 vehicles on Oct. 11, 2019; having used their services several years when I was traveling in the 2000s. Jordan returned by email Certificates of Insurance with former address I had before. I called 4 times and send 3 emails in a try to have those Certificates corrected, and to get some specific information about extra coverage billed for to fit my needs. Unfortunately, none of them (Jordan, James Crane Lewis III) returned my calls or emails, as of Oct. 19th.I understood from James that they were too busy to look at my case!?! Wow! What about if it was for a claim?After looking at reviews on Yelp and Google, I thought they were good, but it was without paying attention to the 76 reviews that are NOT currently recommended on YELP (listed at the end of the current reviews, not considered in the total stars).Be careful, they are among the cheapest Mexican Insurance provider on the market; but as often realized, you pay for what you get ...Thanks Jordan & James to not have replied to my concerns; now I know that I may have been in BIG trouble in case of a claim with you.I definitely NOT recommending Lewis & Lewis Insurance Agency for Mexican Insurance.

Ive followed three claims from beginning to end handled by Lewis & Lewis. At the end all three customers were satisfied and I am duly impressed with the insurers aggressive pursuit of resolving snarls of Mexican Red Tape. It is no fun facing the cops alone. To me, I want the hell out of a Police Station as fast as possible and for legal and financial problems to be resolved as fast as humanly possible. My cranky requirements for aggressive performance of my USA Mexico Car insurance agent pretty much narrows the choice to a single company. And for the cynical reader I do not receive remuneration from anyone. Zero, zip, zilch.

We get our insurance through Lewis and Lewis - Jim Lewis They are very good and will do it in one day with email and a credit card. We had a claim a few years ago and they were okay, other than the bodyshop being pathetically slow. They paid for everything, even work we had done after we got home.

I had Mexican auto insurance through Lewis and Lewis for a number of years and everything seemed fine. That was until last spring when we were hit in Baja Sur by a hit and run driver, then the nightmare of dealing with Qualitas began. I will say that Lewis and Lewis tried to help, but it didnt change things. Although our car was driveable and only sustained minor body damage, Qualitas wanted to total it rather than pay for repairs. Seems they could make more money by reselling it in Mexico. And, we would have to return the car to Mexico, an 1800 mile trip. Right... So they then offered a 50% reduced settlement.Then came the question of the uninsured motorist coverage which should have reduced the deductibles to $0. But no, seems they couldnt PROVE that the motorist who hit us, because they left the scene for the accident, was not uninsured. The other car wasnt driveable and was impounded. There was a police report. The car was illegally licensed. But Qualitas would do nothing more than say, if the driver wasnt present we dont know if they had insurance. What a joke... Jim Lewis tried to help, but Qualitas basically just did what they wanted. They know an American tourist isnt going to take them to court. Bottom Line: Lewis and Lewis may be great people to deal with, but their product (Qualitas Insurance) stinks.After Note: After reading this review, Jim Lewis again asked Qualitas to reconsider changing the settlement. Here is an excerpt from the Qualitas response ... It was informed that the Uninsured Motorist Coverage applies when there is certainty third party is not insured, third party must be present at the site of the accident and unfortunately this was not the case. I have read that ~70% of Mexicans are not insured and must pay for damages out of pocket or face going to jail until they can pay. Whos going to hang around? Uninsured Motorist Coverage is just not what it seems to be.

My message is to inform you that this Friday the second of December I have been in La Paz with the Qualitas lawyer senor Gualbert Ramirez who pick me up in La Ventana this morning. We have been to the minesterio publico and signed all the papers that have been forgotten to be stamps originally in January when i been with the Qualitas adjuster for my stolen motorcycle Immediately the day after the event. Everything should be back to normal now for your administration paper works, hopefully. Señor Gualberto Ramirez did a wonderful job and a very professional way and I collaborate the best I can agreeing to take of my time with you and restored in the good way the papers who wasnt done correctly at first, despite the fact I wasnt responsible for that mistake.

Insured with lewis and lewis for at least 7 or 8 years..NEVER FILED A CLAIM..early this year in 2015 i had a woman vandelize my Rv while in Mexico..i made numerous attempts to meet with adjusters but they never showed up..spent over $100 in phone calls and running around and waiting for an adjuster to show..they never did..they just ignored me..claim was never filed..now i have damage to my RV still...only thing good to come from this was i learned that if this was a serious incident i would have been left high and dry by lewis and lewis insurance agency..so i will be insuring else where next year
