I really enjoyed living here until this apartment complex was purchased by 6 Star Properties. Ironically, one the best parts of this apartment was the property management. They treated the residents really well and went above and beyond for them.. But the entire team was replaced without any notifications to the existing residents. 6 Star Properties had a really sloppy transition when they purchased the property and it honestly seems like they completely forgot that residents live here. The lack of management was particularly impactful to me because my apartment became infested with cockroaches while I was out of town. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT LIVE IN APARTMENT 228. After voicemails, texts, work orders, and face to face meetings.. it took management 45 days to address my issue. At one point I had left town on vacation and mgt closed my work order while I was away. I came home from vacation, sat down on my couch, and a cockroach crawled onto my arm. They had closed my work order without actually doing anything. This was an amazing way to return from vacation! The infestation got so bad I went about a month not being able to live in my apartment and had to move in with my significant other. I still only use my apartment for storage because I dont feel comfortable being there and it still has a weird odor from the pesticides. The new manager was incredibly hostile when I asked about getting a portion of my rent refunded. It was a bizarre conversation.. I called expecting at least an apology, but instead he got really heated, didnt take any responsibility, and basically told me to pound sand. He also got super heated when I asked if I could speak to someone above him and wouldnt allow it. He said I could send him and email and hed forward to upper mgt and that was almost 2 weeks ago and havent heard back... Its just disappointing because we had the most amazing property management team here before and now its the polar opposite.Other than the cockroaches and lack of management, the place is moderately priced, the apartment complex community is relatively nice, and i think the walls are pretty thick so you dont really hear your neighbors. The washers are perpetually broken, but these do get fixed quickly. (Theres an angry older gentlemen that lives on the base floor that goes ape S$$$ when the washers are broken so he probably drives mgt to fix them). The area has amazing food! Thats definitely a highlight. But I would not say this area is very walkable at all - especially at night. Its also very difficult to find street parking for when friends come over.I would recommend someone to live here if they dont have a dog they need to walk and are very handy and can do their own maintenance ;) Also someone that works in pest control would be a good fit to live in this apartment complex

I lived her for about a year in 2016 and loved this place. The compound is well kept with clean laundry room, nice pool and sun deck, secure covered parking. My apartment was newly renovated with carpet/wood laminate, two walk in closets, new appliances. Very well organized and very clean. Apartment manager on the grounds and she was very nice, plus two maintenance men. They fixed things immediately and kept the common areas clean. The neighbors were all good - this is a quiet and orderly place. It was the best place I lived at for four years in LA...
