Just moved into this building and I the move in process was phenomenal. Shane was my agent and he was legit one of the most helpful people I’ve ever encountered at an apartment complex. I ask a lot of questions, and Shane always had no problem getting back to me very quickly! I’m super excited to get settled in here.

Since living here, I’ve received optimum communication about every aspect of the community. Whenever, a door or elevator is down, I was notified of the process and timeline it’ll take to fixed. Justeen was especially helpful to communicate around all things COVID, from Heath guidelines, to financial distress information. I’m happy to call Eastown home. I love my apartment, the amenities are always available and clean, and most importantly, I feel safe.

I had an excellent experience working with Sabrina Virgillo at Eastown. I asked a lot of questions and needed a lot of support and Sabrina was amazing about answering all of my questions, and providing additional information, and finding me all the videos I asked for. She made me feel welcome and accepted the whole time. Sabrina was responsive and warm on the phone / in person / and also by email: She went above-and-beyond to give me the experience I really needed, during a stressful move and relocation. Sabrina was a godsend, thank you Sabrina and Eastown!

Angel is one of the people who do maintenance here at eastown and he is the sweetest and most helpful person when it come to anything that needs fixing, resolving or even just a friendly face around the property! There was recently a little problem that I had to fix in my apartment and it wasnt your typical fix but Angel figured out a way to get the job done and saved the day! Thank you so much Angel!!!!

Just moved into the Eastown Apartments located right in the middle of the entertainment district in Hollywood.I’ve lived in Hollywood awhile now and these apartments offer more than most. My observations so far; this property is secure, quiet and extremely clean, the residents are happy neighbors and the location provides easy access to all of Los Angeles and the 101 freeway. This property is also extremely walkable and is right near the subway and the flyaway stop for easy transport to LAX.This property boasts many amenities and the staff hosts community functions that everyone seems to be really excited about. I’ve heard more than one resident chatting about upcoming yoga classes or champagne / burrito get togethers. My move in was super easy. Sabrina who was my leasing agent was hugely accommodating and worked with me on changing move in dates and swapping units to add a balcony all before my actual leasing date. Sabrina toured me and was a huge reason I leased here. She is welcoming, extremely knowledgeable and friendly.Five Stars Eastown :-))

So I’m definitely signing to live here. Not only was Kaitlyn amazing in showing us the model and answered all of our questions yesterday. She went a step further and showed us a vacant unit. In fact, her customer service was unparalleled and she tailored our tour to exactly what we wanted to see and nothing else. We were on a time crunch so it was greatly appreciated. Then we had issues with the application process and she walked us through the problem as well. I just recently moved here to Eastown and I can say I am very happy! I spent several months thinking of where I wanted to live, and with so many apartment communities offering great discounts in rent due to COVID I chose Eastown.I got an amazing price on a 1 bedroom that was literally the same price as my studio in West Hollywood! The place is super clean, aesthetically pleasing, great landscaping and once you are inside the building off Hollywood Blvd, its quiet and peaceful.I notice the cleaning staff working every day, making sure our elevators, common areas and hallways are clean and sanitized as well. The building also feels incredibly safe with key fobs required to access different floors and the garage.I would say the best part about this place is the responsiveness of the management! Pure, the assistant general manager, helped so much during the move in process. She showed several apartments until I decided on one, and was very pleasant to work with. I even got follow up check ins to see how I was settling in, super impressed! It seems as if management here actually cares about the tenants and continues to offer support past the leasing process - which is cool.If you are considering a new apartment in LA, I would consider Eastown. Although Hollywood really isnt my vibe, you are honestly centrally located to everything in LA!

Eastown’s team has done an excellent job during the pandemic. They have increased safety requirements and added special equipment to protect all residents. They have provided useful information and updates when needed.Recently they even used some of the down time from the pandemic to refinish the pool area. They made a major upgrade by refinishing the wood areas surrounding the pool and it looks amazing.Their team, especially Justeen and Jameson, go out of their way to help you in any way they can, and they are always professional and courteous. Angel is one of the many workers Ive gotten to know personally. He is quick to respond to any maintenance request and provides fast and efficient results. We’ve lived in this apartment complex for over a year, and this place is over priced, mostly because it’s right on Hollywood Blvd. I understand that, but we moved in right before COVID began and we never got to use any amenities, they never gave us back any credit or discount from the actual rate. We’ve had the garage opened for 3 months now, main cargo elevator also hasn’t been working for 3 months... you’ll need to take stairs, so maintainance is not the best.We always understand that electronics or incidents happen, but it’s ridiculous the time frame to fix an issue, like elevators or random fire alarms sound in a Sunday 5:00 am.Thanks but there is no way to get more than 2 stars. The package guy very professional, cleaning people very nice, management ok.

I had a pleasant move-in experience at Eastown. My leasing agent, Janae, had a warm, inviting presence. She was very patient with me, showing me several units over the span of a few separate visits as I narrowed my preferences down; I never felt rushed.Move-in day went smoothly, the unit was clean, etc. However, my walls were painted incorrectly. Janae worked with maintenance quickly to get the walls repainted. Once it was done, she even personally dropped off a gift card, bottle of champagne and a box of chocolates as a gesture for the inconvenience and as a welcome to the building. So far I am enjoying living at Eastown. The units are refurbished and very new, modern, and sleek. The amenities are great. I was particularly impressed with the fitness center and the pool. The location has the pros and cons youd expect from Hollywood. While there is the expected Hollywood element (presence of homelessness, tourist foot traffic, random sketch, etc.) neighborhood is very walkable with several restaurants right in the building. The 101 is also right around the corner. It all adds up to a net positive for me.Want to thank Janae for helping to make my move to Eastown one of the smoothest and pleasant moves Ive had in LA.

I just moved from Eastown after two years. If it wasnt for being displaced back to the east coast due to the pandemic, I would have stayed. I had a great experience.Hollywood is always going to be Hollywood. However, I always felt totally safe inside the complex. Its very secure, along with Security constantly patrolling the borders and common areas. It felt like a quiet, urban oasis. For the price, you get a ton of services and amenities. It was hard to find something better in the general area.Britney in the management office is fantastic to work with, and always been quick to respond. The grounds are beautiful, and apartments are creatively appointed. My only gripe would be cork flooring. While it looks cool, it was hard to keep clean. I think the building is slowly changing them out to faux wood flooring though. Not that management controls this, but the resident population is generally diverse, fun and communal. It was never hard to meet new people or make friends. There are hosted mixers (gone virtual since pandemic) that made it even easier.Great gym!

When I moved in. I loved all the amenities. In my your living there. At turned horrible. Fire alarms false going off in the middle of the night. Elevators constantly down. And an update as of February 2019. Someone who works in the building let me know. They lower the rent across the street at the of central buildings. As East town is now full of bed bugs, cockroaches and rats. The only thing I really liked about the book was the CVS on the property And location. Except for the homeless that would urinate and leave their feces and from the door. Security allowed them to sleep. Though if a tenant is in the same spot to smoke a cigarette security makes you leave the area. Yes the law is 15 from the door. Security treats the homeless better than tenants. Building 4 Is right on the Hollywood walk of fame. Nobody cared that when you fobed Into the building. Anybody including the violent homeless can grab the door and come in after you. Then you are in the mail Room. Which basically makes it a boxing ring. Never really felt safe going in-and-out to the building. And I lived in Hollywood for 18 years. Never felt so unsafe. Glad I am no longer there I moved out as did everyone in the year I was there every day there was someone moving out and in. The turn over rate was extremely high. And then you have all the people from all over the world including families walking around with their suitcases renting air BN bs. And they get a fob. To get around the property. When a tenant has a roommate they only allow 1. Know people from around the world have access to the building.

So, I would like to add an edit to my review. After my amazing tour, I decided to move to Eastown, and have been here for 1 month, as of yesterday. As most of LA know, there was a major power outage on Hollywood Blv that lasted days earlier this week, and Eastown was one of the properties that were effected by the outage. This was difficult for thousands of residents and businesses, at multiple locations. While a lot of us wanted immediate results, there wasnt anything the property staff could do, as the city was doing all they could to get the power back and running. However, they tried their best. The leasing agent, Janea Grayson, who helped me throughout the leasing process, reached out often to make sure I had the updated information that had been sent out. When I went down to the leasing office, she was there ready to answer any of my questions (although her understanding and knowledge of the situation was limited). The most important thing, was she greeted the residents with professionalism and politeness. She and every other staff member that Id encountered (I wish I knew their names so I could post it) found a way to be helpful and polite during the unfortunate outage. So, I would like to say thank you to the team at Eastown, because it could have been a lot worse.....Ive been apartment shopping for the past few weeks and have yet to walk into a place and feel like this is home. Well, until yesterday! From the initial call to the end of my tour, my experience was pretty amazing. I spoke and toured with Janae Grayson. She was such gem! She answered ALL of my questions! She even answered questions I wasnt even sure I had until they were answered. I loved that she was intentional with the units she showed me. She asked about my price range, my must have list, as well as my lifestyle (respectively). Janae provided information around alternative places/ways to stay active, while the gym is closed during COVID, which made me feel like shes paying attention to things Ive mentioned, such as I workout often. While being safe with COVID regulations, I still felt a warm and inviting vibe from Janae and the other staff that we passed throughout the tour. The buildings were really nice and well maintained. It did not feel like this community of apartments were in the heart of Hollywood. The courtyards are filled with plants and trees; making the community feel like a private oasis. This is a place that feels like home.

I’ve been a resident here for a month. This is a prime central Hollywood location with freeway access, metro across the street, a CVS and restaurants on site. The staff and other tenants are very friendly and there does seem to be a sense of community which is further inspired by the weekly tenant events. The apartment layouts are very bright, modern and surprisingly quiet given the properties location. Overall, there is a good vibe here. We lived in Eastown for only a short while and just moved out. I wanted to hold my review until moving out totally so I could get the full experience. The building common areas are very well kept, the staff are all 100% friendly and awesome and any issues I had with maintenance were handled relatively quickly. We moved out because we were in LA for business and with Covid currently still a thing, we cant do any more business until that blows over which could be a while. We will not be moving back into Eastown however when I return to LA. The homeless issues directly outside the building are the worst theyve been in decades. Since this is an issue Garcetti and Newsom have to get under control, I cant blame Eastown for this since its 100% out of their hands.Pros:Great, friendly staff that gets things done.Very clean common areas and hallways.Trash rooms are always cleaned and well maintained.Huge garage with tons of room, you never feel cramped while parking.Awesome LA views to the west if you have an outward facing unit.Maintenance staff is friendly and amazing every time.Quiet as long as you have a courtyard facing unit.Any maintenance issues with the building are handled immediately.Cons:Homeless issues are ridiculous directly outside the building walls.Unsafe to walk around the neighborhood at night, even for a block. The homeless are constantly yelling at full volume at 3 in the morning.Dog area facing Nederlander is not well thought through, dogs have to pee in the landscaping which constantly smells of piss.Residents continue to smoke on balconies even though its a smoke-free building (cigarettes and weed).Even though Air B&Bs are not allowed, several units still do this anyway which have caused theft in the parking structure and other issues on Nederlander. The bottom line is, Id move back in to Eastown in a second if the mayor and governor stepped up and started to do something, ANYTHING to curb the homeless issues on Hollywood and Argyle and surrounding streets. Until then, Ill go to WeHo where they have this issue way better controlled.

Two years ago we started our journey to become part of the community. To do that, part of the requirement it’s an initial refundable deposit of $100.After not being able to get the unit we wanted, we finally moved to another location and requested our hundred dollar deposit back. According to Eastown, it takes only 21 days to get that deposit. Two months later, we are still struggling to get this company to reimburse us with our money. They are stalling constantly, by not responding and requesting old documents, that are unnecessary, since we all know we were in the system, when we were shown our names and a unit number attached.I tried following their protocol, by calling them, getting in their text message service. Not one call, not one text message was replied by Eastown. The place is great, the units are cool and the amenities are top notch. Unfortunately, their level of honesty and professionalism doesn’t match that.I’m so sorry I have to give them such a low grade, but honesty transparency and Integrity are extremely important, especially when you take other people’s money and private financial information.

The second person told me that this is was something I had to resolve with the tenants above me since the water was coming from their apartment.* The never heat the pool all winter, despite saying that they do. Filed over 30 maintenance requests about this, not one even responded to.* Refused to schedule a move-out inspection despite several requests.* Tried to raise the rent to $500 *MORE* than the prices on the website. When I pointed this out to them, they only offered to bring it down to $350.* To top it off, tried to charge me $2000 in move-out fees on top of the security deposit, which is ILLEGAL since they refused to schedule a move-out inspection. Please contact me for more details. Was very excited to move into what seemed like an awesome, very professionally run building. I moved in in JUNE and still do not have a working set of keys for the secured points of the building (pool, gym, garage) Have tried literally every single week to have this problem resolved and am always told they “reset it and there’s no reason it shouldn’t work” so my boyfriend and I share the one pair of keys that do work. They have a mail room that collects packages and even when I have delivery confirmation from USPS/FEDEX they will still tell me they can’t find it???Beautiful building, but so disappointing.

I am unfortunately moving out of Eastown this week as I am moving to NYC for work. I have been living here for the last 4 years and have had an absolutely amazing experience. Great units, great staff, high quality amenities, always clean and functioning, and convenient location. Have there been annoying moments with elevators or fire alarms. Yes. Is it a large complex with 4 separate 6 story buildings. Yes. These things happen everywhere, especially in large urban buildings. Also, this is Hollywood people. Not West Hollywood or Brentwood. If you like the edge and grit but all the convenience and a quickly changing and upgrading area, you are in the right spot! There is so much happening in the area. Anyone that has actually lived here and been on a lease for at least a year will not be foolish enough to say living here isn’t great. TBH the fact that this apartment is able to create a sense of community with this many units is the best compliment. I recognize and engage with neighbors, enjoy seeing the staff who always remember you and say hi. I can’t recommend this building and their staff enough. Also, to have gone through management changes and still keep this feeling and keep the amenities on point and the whole building sparkling (they are always cleaning!! I love it) is another testament to staff.I lastly want specially shout out Diana B. In the office. During my application to my new building in NYC and my move out she was AMAZING! She went way above and beyond to help coordinate with my new landlord. Thanks again Diana!! When I come back to LA in a few years I will be coming back to eastown or el centro for sure!

I am so excited to be moving into this community! They have one of the best locations in Hollywood directly next to the Pantages theater. They also have several great places to eat just downstairs. I can pick up my coffee in the morning at Dunkin Donuts or have amazing Japanese at Totoyama. Ill be using the metro to commute to DTLA. So glad I found this gem!

Really bad management. I lived in Eastown for 3 years and everything was going great until the new management, Western National Property Management, took over. They keep messing up and the management team is truly unprofessional. They are the reason why I ended moving out. After I moved out, they didnt process my refund check and kept making up excuses for it. So at the end of the day, not only they are unprofessional but they will also withhold your security deposit illegally. They claimed they sent it but it was after the 21-day timeframe they have according to the law.

Do not move to this property. They are dishonest and highly unethical in their business practices. They have a penchant for paying review site to cleanse their reviews because they are hiding the fact that they are incredibly unprofessional. The manager choose favorites among residents and even maintain inappropriate relationships with certain residents while providing them with preferential treatment. Racial slurs are also something that management staff members have no problem using against residents. There are better places to rent in the area that would negate having to deal with difficult management. Btw, who has cork floors in 2019? LEASE ELSEWHERE, you will regret living at Eastown.

I have lived at this complex for about 3 years. Its a very nice, clean building with a great 24-hour gym. They try really hard to have many monthly activities for residents like wine tastings and hiking trips and movie nights and Mimosa Sundays and free pressed juicery days. I dont usually have the time to partake in a lot of these events, but I appreciate them working to bring the community together in this way. Hollywood life can sometimes be a bit hectic and isolating for transplants, such as myself lol, who dont have family in LA. I havent experienced any of the complaints that some of the residents have mentioned in their reviews, which is why I felt I should speak up with my own experience. In my case, my maintenance requests have always been dealt with in a quick and timely manner. I appreciate the underground parking and the high level of security, although it would be great if we could buzz guests up, rather than having to go down and get them. Outside of this, my only frustration has been the management team changing over a couple of times since I have been here, which in my case, has meant lost or misplaced documents that I have had to resend a few times over. Lastly, it would be great if they could implement some free visitor parking spaces. Since they have a massive parking lot, with more than enough empty spaces for visitors.

I’ve been living here for 2.5 years now and ever since the management team has changed, this place has become a NIGHTMARE! This is the first bad review I’m writing (ever!) and that alone shows how frustrated I am with this place.I’ve had my deliveries lost or it took them 3 days to find it, the curtesy patrol (security team) is the worst. They don’t do anything because “they’re not responsible for anything”!Just to give you an example; the key fob reader for building 4 was broken so no one could get back inside the building. They left a note on the door stating that “once you exit the building you won’t be able to get in” and there was a security guard waiting outside the door (his name is Mark). So I asked if he’s going to be there to let people in until the fix the door, and he said no I’m not going to be here, so I asked them how are people supposed to get in which he responded I don’t know ma’m. So again I explained to him that the logical and helpful thing to do was that he stays inside and help people get in, and that it’s unrealistic to expect people not to leave the building. Again he said that it’s not “his responsibility to do that and that he does what his supervisor asks him to do”.I was only going 1 block away to get coffee so I asked him if he could wait there for 5 minutes to let me in. He was hesitant but he said OK. I went to Starbucks and got back exactly after 3 minutes and guess what he wasn’t there! He was casually walking around. long story short, Mark was apparently too busy doing something else (just walking and standing in front of Shake Shack).I went to the leasing office which is in Building 1 and told them about the issue, guess what they didn’t event know the key fob was not working! They said they will get right on it. This was about 12 PM.At 6 PM I was going out and noticed that the note about the fob not working was not on the door anymore so thought they’ve fixed the door. I go out and come back an hour later, and SURPRISE! The key fob was NOT working! Instead of fixing the issue, they decided to ignore it.There have so many of these cases since April and I truly believe that the management can be more helpful. There’s simply no accountability here.Rent here is not cheap so you’d expect they have a good team managing this place, making it worth your money. That’s NOT the case.I know a lot of people have moved out, and I’m going to do the same. And very soon! Also, the elevators are always out! There are a ton of nice buildings in the Hollywood and Downtown area, so explore all your options before considering this place.

Where do I begin. Let’s start with cons.I put in a request to fix my dryer and a month and a half later I had two different guys come in to check on and after putting in the request a third time through phone they have no record of me filing a request to fix the dryer.I just put my 30 days notice to vacate since my lease was coming to an end and I had to call them three times just to confirm that they received the notice which I sent through two different emails. I haven’t received and notice or reply saying they got the notice so I had to call them 5 days later after the notice was sent and low and behold I had to send the email again.Within the 13 months I’ve lived in Eastown, 1 out of the 2 elevator in building three would be out of service. A huge inconvenience especially when you live in the the highest level of the building.Forget having friends and family over cause there’s no parking for them. You will have to resort to paying for parking or try to find parking somewhere in the sketchy neighborhood of Hollywood.I believe sometime recently they had a new owner or company take over and ever since then my online payment has become a hassle.Sketchy Airbnb happening in the apartment complex. Literally my neighbors would change time to time. At one point you got dudes from Atlanta and then Florida etc...One time I met these group of people in the elevator thinking to myself that they were coming home from vacation. In fact they were just starting there vacation and there was a dude that stuck out like a sore thumb that would refuse to make eye contact with me when I would chat up with his “Airbnb Guests”. Turns out that dude that was acting hella awkward was getting them situated into there room and I guess he would get in trouble. I don’t know but for an apartment like this that’s not what I expected. Actually it’s not such a bad idea to set up an Airbnb in Eastown from a business stand point lol. Just don’t do it when I’m burning money into this place. Some random dude got into the building and he ended up in my unit the one night I decided to unlock my door to get my food delivery downstairs.Honestly all of this would’ve been forgivable if I wasn’t paying 2800 a month for a small 650sqft 1bedroom apartment. But I should’ve known better. You’re really paying for the nice facility they have for you, being in Hollywood, having the convenience of a washer and dryer in unit, and a nice small gym and to be quite honest it ain’t worth it.Here are some pros. The apartment is clean and it is being maintained almost everyday.Security is decent at best. They are available 24/7 so eh... I guess it’s a good thing. For the most part people working in Eastown are nice and polite. Just wish they had there stuff together.Literally walking distance to a lot of places. They have little events for you on weekends if you’re into that. The gym is kinda cool and it’s 24hr access.Although you are living in Hollywood you’re apartment is impressively quiet. The view in building 3 looking out into the Hollywood sign and capitol records is awesome. The whole layout of the apartment is confusing at first but after awhile it’s actually pretty well planned. Just wish they did more when it comes to parking. In conclusion my experience here was pretty dissappointing. When I was first looking into the complex it had average score of 3.7 and for Los Angeles that’s pretty good. However I’ve later come to regret the decision when it became one thing and another. It’s pretty evident too since I’ve started to see more vacant units when I stand out on my patio. It’s too late to fix these problems for me but it’s not too late for future tenants. If you’re going to charge these ridiculous prices for an apartment then step up you’re game.

Terrible, unfair treatment by management staff. Fraudulent record keeping, and entirely dishonest business practices. The new management company is just as ineffective as the previous. Beware of complaining to them about issues as you will be retaliated against if you look a certain way. I hope building ownership gets rid of this new company before the problems that they are ignoring and creating; get worse. Do not trust anything said to you by new management as the new manager is entirely devicive, unfair and ill poised. The efforts they are claiming to be improving are untrue. The property is getting worse

The manager Michael Scism runs several AirBnB Properties with his friends. I moved in over one year ago and Michael has asked me on several occasions to keep watch out for his AirBnb properties and has asked me to help his guests check in. He has offered me money and pays me 30 dollars for key delivery. I never met him until once at the common room and figured he was a resident, I didnt know until later that he is the manager managing all these AirBnb units in the building haha. Once he told me I should rent out my unit as well on AirBnB because its a great building/location and its so busy that the management company would never care. However when several of his guests kept calling me for help with their apartments and complaints I got quite annoyed and quit answering their calls. Michael was only paying me for key deliveries and check ins, not for answering guests calls at all hours of the night and asking directions to the pool etc. After that i guess they left bad reviews on Michaels page because he got very angry with me and now is so rude. I signed a lease to live at the complex, not take care of AirBnb customers for the manager.
