Good VA hospital right next to UAMS medical facilities in Little Rock. Six floors of healthcare including Endocrinology, oncology, bone density, sleep studies, eyes, dental and hearing. A large emergency room that offers decent service for any major illness. Also includes a Full pharmacy and eligibility departments.A local store and VA cafeteria on site.

In the midst of the pandemic, a healthcare worker in the Emergency Room (Nurse Sarah) deemed it necessary to take off her mask. Her nose and mouth were completely uncovered for several minutes with patients near.

VA has taken care of ALL my medical needs since 2000. Cant imagine not having their care. They also take care of my wife. Their food in the cafeteria is too expensive and it is not open on weekends. Now the VA campus has been declared smoke-free. Even money says that was not a vets decision. Bet that person has never seen combat! I dont smoke, but Ive been there. When us vets meet St. Peter, he will say Welcome. When he meets the person responsible for this, he will say You have the right to have a proctologist present. If you cannot afford one...

I had a very positive experience with the VA Pharmacy. After seeing a non-VA physician I was prescribed a reduction in the amount of a arrhythmia controlling drug. This change had to be approved by a VA physician. The only problem was that I was about to depart on a trip in two days. The pharmacist, Brook, stated that she would take care of getting the required approval and asked for my phone number. The next day she called. The requested prescription was ready for pick up. I appreciated her taking charge of the situation, promising and delivering results.

Good VA Hospital. I have always been treated right, fair, and with respect by every one that I have come in contact with at the Little Rock VA Hospital. One thing I may ad is I have seen more disrespectful Vets than anywhere else at this Hospital. I go in with a cheery attitude and have no problems. If you go in with a attitude you tend to get what you project. I did my 20 with the attitude of service to my country. The men that served under and with me always knew where I stood. But never did I give anyone up or down the chain of command an attitude. Go in with a good, if not GREAT attitude an see if your service is not much better. To all my fellow brother and sisters in all of our services; Have a Blessed Day!

Its a whole lot better than many of the other VA facilities that I have been to. The only thing I dont care for is the Mental Health care. It takes forever to see a doctor even if youre in bad shape mentally plus communication with the ppl who answer the phones is terrible.

You would think after serving our country, and risking our lives to keep it safe that we could get decent accommodations at the VA. All veterans are crowded into one room, when we deserve to have private rooms. It is very difficult to have your family visit when you have several people in the room with you. Also, I guess HIPPA laws dont apply to the VA since all thats separating us is a curtain. I guess the curtains are supposed to be sound proof when doctors are discussing our medical conditions. We hear every single word. Maybe in the future, we will get better care and treatment than what we are getting, but I guess someone other than me would have to care first.

Will be honest not the best place to be treated. All I can say is so far Ive put 2 complaints in because of doctors from another country just dont care about my health and well being, just pure neglect. So sad that they dont understand how fought for our country through blood sweat and tears and all we want is to feel better or relieve the pain we do have.

Its sad as a purple heart recipient to get the quality of care that has been given to me. Staff doesnt communicate well at all and is always trying to blame someone else for miscommunication. You are treated like a number at this VA. Everything looks good on paper when giving their reports to higher ups, but where the rubber meets the road (veterans getting healthcare) they are lacking.they said they call me to get in touch and let it ring once and hang up, so they can say they called. Very unprofessional and just wish veterans could get the help they need and deserve for all their sacrifices they have made for our country.

One of our veterans had a serious sugery last Tuesday which was very sucessful, very professionly done,, but his wife waited 5 hours without any updates on the condltion of her husband. When she located him, he was out of recovery in ICU, she was not a very happy camper. Also they only gave him 6 days of medicatiion, which leads me to my review. Five hours in the emergency room, hes in major pain, no respect, under staffed, no courtesy, poor, poor, poor, better care at the dog pound. We feel like Dogs :(

I can relate to how most of you in one way or another, Steven Arkon you are absolutely correct for the part . Im very happy that I have this hospital to tend to my needs for I have been through 3 major surgeries and may need more .sometimes the results dont turn out as expected . I hurt every day .one should be more thankful . Ive had had a few employees/ nurses/doctors that that I would have traded LOL we all have.that being said I do believe they should screen all personal for some do need to work elsewhere and they should allow more then 15 min do visit a doctor has to really care for to stay working .plz allow them the time they need they could use it thanks for having me and god bless the USA and thank u my fellow servicemen & women 🇺🇸

Lack of funds to treat veterans with the same level of care as from other va hospitals or even outsource to a closer location as to having to travel extensivly to the hospital is substandard at best they should shut down the whole facility and start again and fix their anti care for vets policies!
