Staff Is not nice. very rude everytime I go. one woman in particular makes me feel very uncomfortable almost to the point of not wanting to go. I miss out on help because she is so rude and hateful. Im worried how she will treat me when I arrive.

Fantastic food bank for people that need it, however only being able to come once a month for what you receive is a let down especially for expired food. It would be better as a weekly or bi-weekly. Even better is when you have a guy selling his bag for beer outside and you dont confiscate it.

One of THE most integral parts and the anchor of Arkansas Baptist and Central High historic neighborhoods. They provide groceries to an average of 1600+ unique families each month. Their clients are not all what you might imagine. Of course they have the homeless, and mentally ill. We have retired people on a fixed income taking care of grand-babies. You meet people who got injured or lost their job who are just trying to make rent and electricity payments. Helping Hand does everything on a shoe-sting budget. If youd like to donate, I know they always need nice, slightly worn clothing and shoes. If youre looking to get rid of other things, give them a call. I feel like they can sell or use it, theyd be much obliged.

Absolutely amazing! As a volunteer I see the love of Christ through this outreach ministry. Ive always wanted to work full time in the ministry and I thank God and the lovely people at Helping Hand, for sharing this ministry with me. One of the things I like most is that, the money made in the thrift store goes to PURCHASE FOOD! How awesome is that!
