I come here quite regularly due to living in the area and I’ve always been somewhat satisfied with the food but as of late the last few times I’ve come here to pick up a pretty typical non complex dish such as butter chicken, it’s not been cooked down enough. The taste is more like tomato soup with that ripe tomato flavor and I’m not a huge fan. It was not always like this but in the last few times I’ve ordered to go the food has been sub par at best. I know you are a small mom and pop operation but I can make better butter chicken at home for a fraction of the cost. So please step it up because there are other “better Indian” joints in town.

It was an absolute delicious experience. We had ordered samosas for appetizers which were hot and crispy served with mint and tamarind chutney. Main course consisted of chicken biryani (extra spicy) with onion curry sauce(add on) and raita. The biryani was amazing, very flavorful just as we like it. The onion curry sauce went really well with the biryani and tasted yummy. We finished with rasmalai which was cold and delicious and we couldnt have enough of it. The staff was friendly, decor was welcoming. Best place to have authentic Indian food. Will be back for more!

Saffron has been the absolute best Indian restaurant when it comes to authentic-tasting food. The service is beyond amazing and the food is full of mouth watering flavors that you cannot find anywhere else in Little Rock. I am beyond ecstatic that the buffet has come back once a week. Do yourself a favor and give Saffron a try if you haven’t already! You won’t be disappointed!

We stopped for lunch at this place on our way to vacation. The food was good. Biryanis tasted great. I didnt taste msg in the food which is great. Lot of Biryani places add msg which is not healthy.

This was my first trying out this Restaurant. Been traveling alot, and in the process have tried a number of Indian restaurants, this was the first time that I genuinely really enjoyed their boneless Chicken Biryani made at a normal (medium) spice level. This wasnt the typical dum biryani, but more closer to the Sindhi Biryani. The rice were perfectly separated, the flavor was perfectly balanced. Spice level was on point as well. And it was delicious!. The serving size was good enough for one person. The price was reasonable as well. Met with the owner, and had a good conversation with him about food and keeping it true to its authenticity. After I was done, I was also made to try their bondhi ka laddu (Indian desert), which was also very good, with a balanced sugar level. To all the people reading this, to all the Biryani loving folks, I would highly recommend this restaurant. I for sure would be coming back !!

Some of the best Indian food we have had in the Little Rock area! The prices were not too bad at all for the amount of food that came out. My husband and I shared the lamb biryani and we both left so full! Super friendly staff. Overall just a wonderful experience. We have found our new go to for Indian cuisine!

We went for the lunch buffet on a Sunday…. We were expecting a little bit more food quality. There was quantity but not quality…. The food was average. The ladoo was so hard and tiny. Not worth it. The noodles were very bad too.

I went to Saffron tonight for the first time and it was pretty darn good. The decor inside was lovely and the restaurant was very clean. My only complaint is that all my food came at separate times. My rice came out as I was finishing up and I was too full to eat but I tried it and it is delicious. I tried the crispy duck appetizer, lamb, samosas and saffron rice. The duck was spicy but loaded with flavor. The lamb was juicy and the samosas were perfectly crispy.If you like Indian food you need to try this place. The waitress and men who delivered my food were nice as well.

It doesn’t deserve even one star for food. They call naan as lacha paratha 😄😂 and when show them their mistake, the chef comes out of kitchen wearing kacha to argue with you! Like he is the only Indian who ate lacha paratha 😂😂😂

Seriously delicious food! Their lunch buffet was absolutely amazing. I loved every single thing I tried. And look at how beautifully colorful my plate was! The staff was so kind and attentive and the price was right. We will be coming back for sure. What a treasure.

When traveling to Little Rock Arkansas I would highly recommend giving this restaurant a try some of the best food that I’ve eaten Everything was delicious perfectly spiced and the customer service was amazing They made you feel right at home as soon as you walked in . I love saffron. This is my go to place. I really enjoy their Sunday buffet. Staff members are really cordial. I could not remember everyone’s name but I would like to give a big shout out to Angela. She is awesome. My favorites are dal makhani, naan, lachha parantha, chicken biryani, manchurian and Hakka noodles. Everyone should try this place.

Worst Indian buffet ever.We are there for indo-chinese special buffet.Except couple none of the the dishes looks appetizing, goat biryani tastes like it mixed with gravy and barely any meat in it.Who puts cheap cupcakes and dried laddu in Indian restaurant.I will never go to this place again, there are no efforts in cooking,Fully depressed.

Pathetic service. I went out with my friends and they brushed us off, saying it’s full. This happened despite calling them earlier in the morning and asking them if we have to RSVP. The guy informed us that we can come in anytime before 2:30 without RSVPing.

Went for the first time on a saturday around 7, was fairly busy. they serve beer and a limited wine selection. we ordered yellow lentils, andhra lamb curry, paneer makhani, and garlic and chili naan. the lentils were really good as a side dish to the lamb and paneer. the lamb was spicy but also very flavorful and sauce/gravy for the paneer makhani was rich and tasty. the rice and naan were OK. Will definitely go back.Update: went back, still really good. This time we shared some of the chaat appetizers, the whole roasted fish, and nargisi aloo. All really good again with very good service. The fish was really good, but not deboned so it was a little extra work.

Went there for weekend buffet. Some of the veg items were good, some were ok. Definitely try the Egg Plant Curry. Desserts were good. Would visit again.

We visited Saffron for the first time on Monday. Oh. My. Goodness!! The veggie samosas were perfection! The mint and tamarind sauces were incredible! We had butter chicken and Tandoori chicken. AMAZING!!!! It was all so good, we went back for lunch today! Well be back at least once more this week!

I love the food and have always considered this my favorite Indian restaurant however, recently the service has not been as good as it was, to the point last time two weeks ago when the server only came once and never asked to refill our drinks and never even came back to bring the check and I had to go to the casher to ask for the check.

Wonderful food with great wait staff. Big warning- the spicy hot food is HOTT! The Tikki Marsala is my favorite and the special nan adds a little sweetness to your meal. I love this place! They have vegetarian or food for carnivores and the sauces are to die for. They do have Indian beer and regular drinks. If you like Indian food, try Saffron!

I was able to get an early look into the much awaited restaurant! The atmosphere is beautiful, and authentic. And the entire menu looks to die for. The official opening is Monday August 20th 2018!!!!

Ordered chicken tikki masala, chicken briyani, chicken tandoori and saffron naan. All were fantastic!!! Especially naan. Would highly recommend. Next time will try speciality drinks and appetizers.

Great place for a different type of cuisine

We ordered Vegetable biriyani and Tandoori Subz on the premises as a go to order. Most of the items in their menu were unavailable( Dosa and some fish items). The biriyani was good. The raita had rotten smell and couldnt eat it. The description of Tandoori Subz mentioned mushrooms and different types of vegetables. But when we opened the box it was paneer, potatoes and some onions. When we called back they said they discontinued preparing the dish as it is described on the menu.They failed to communicate what actually in the dish, and didnt take responsibility by offering any discounts or refunding us. Very disappointing customer service.

Our group of 5 went for lunch today and every single thing we all ordered was absolutely delicious! Our server, Ankit, was super helpful and friendly. I’ll definitely be visiting Saffron again the next time I’m in Little Rock!

We had a wonderful dinner at Saffron. Our baby was with us, so we went earlyish at 5:30. In my opinion, the staff hit the spot with their level of attentiveness but also not being intrusive. The food was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. For sale starter we had the Vegetable Samosa, they were perfectly friend, crisp and flakey without a hint of greasyness. We tried the Tandor mixed grill and Baingan Saraf (eggplant curry) for our main and we were happy with both choices. The meat was all moist and tender but full of flavor and the eggplant had a lot of subtlety nuanced flavor. Two unexpected standouts was a side of house made yogurt and onion kulcha (onion bread). The yogurt was some of the best I have ever had and the soft, chewy, and savory bread was a great complement to the meal.They have a lunch buffet during the week and on Saturday, I will definitely be back to try the variety that they have to offer.

This is me and my husband first time coming here and i must say the experience was very wonderful indeed i always wanting to try indian food and now i had the chance an the food was tasty and a little spicy but i have to be careful next time on what i pick otherwise eveything else was phenomenal 😀

Oh my goodness. I had chicken vindaloo, and all I can say is wow. This was far and away the best Indian food that I have had in my life.

We tried their Manchow vegetable soup and lentil soup with fried rice and chili chicken. The spices were on point and everything tasted great. The portion sizes are small but otherwise food was good

I’m giving poor because they are worst in service. I did just ordered one chicken biryani by phone for pickup. Initially the guy told me it will take 30 mins and I accepted for in and I did reached restaurant in 40 mins and call them again to check whether my order is ready or not and the guy told me another 10 mins and requested him to call me back once the order is ready. I didn’t received any callback and after 15 mins I went inside and asked for the order status and again he said it will take another 5 mins. I just cancelled the order. Literally I spent 1 hour for chicken dum biryani and finally there is no luck.

Just a really delicious meal, service was quick and polite. Food was amazing and very authentic. Great little spot for indian food.

Opening pains. We were quickly sat when we entered. After a few minutes, we were given menus. Several minutes later, we were finally able to place our order. Then, the long wait began. A couple other tables received their orders before us, even though they came in and ordered after us. When the order came out, it was incomplete. We asked for our missing Naan orders but never received them. It took almost 2 hours from entering to get the check so we could leave. Very frustrating. Might give them a second chance once theyve gotten the kinks worked out.

One of the best restaurants that serve authentic Indian food

I took my meal to go. I usually eat at the restaurant. I enjoyed my meal, as usual. The only thing I would like more would be more rice. When I opened the bag at home, the amount of rice is disappointing. I didnt want to take a picture because its an easy fix. But if I have to cook more rice again, Ill go elsewhere.

The guy serving us was really slow and impatient. But when we did finally get the food it was extremely delicious.

Their Chicken 65 & Cheese Chilly Naan is pretty good. Apart from that Onion Pakora, Veg Samosa, Chicken Tikka masala, Paneer Tikka masala, Bhindi Masala, Schezwan Masala Dosa, Spring Dosa, Schezwan Lotus Root, Garlic Naan are quite good too!!. Biryani and Indo-chinese dishes are just average.

Hello everyone...we came from Austin to little rock city for visiting..and tried all food here like Mexican,Chinese and American...but we were keep finding for indian food...then we visit Saffron Indian cuisine...OMG the food was so delicious..Naan well cooked,and Goat Biriyani Mind blowing...food quantity was very good...we love food and service was very pleased..we love the place..Wish we can go there again and again..Five star are not enough for this restaurant.

This is my go to restaurant. I love eating chicken biryani here. Few of my favorites that I would recommend are Black lentil ( Dal Makhni), lachha parantha, veg Manchurian and Veg Hakka noodles. It certainly reminded me of the exact street style Indian chowmin (noodles) flavor that I grew up with. All in all, the flavors were very close to Authentic Indian food. I always have a wonderful time at Saffron. You need to Definitely try their Sundays buffet as well. Last but not the least, out waitress Angela was super nice and sweet spoken. I definitely give this restaurant a bid thumbs up. Definitely try this restaurant guys.

Tried Indian for the first time in Little Rock this week and we won’t go anywhere else but Saffron. We really had no clue what to order so our lovely waitress gave us recommendations and we took them. And everything was delicious! There couldn’t be more flavor in their food and everything was beautiful. I’ll definitely be back and want to come for lunch so I can sample a lot more on the buffet. Would recommend anyone to try this place!

Had a wonderful meal at Saffron on New Years Eve. Food was delish, service prompt and staff all very friendly. Had a lovely chat with with one of the staff (Newton), she kindly gave us s brief education on Indian culture. I would definitely recommend Saffron 😊

Wow! What a great hidden gem. I found this place on Open Table. The food was fabulous. I loved our service. Our waiter was very nice and attentive to our needs. Our appetizer was super delish and the main course was supposed on. There are so many choices to choose from their extensive menu. I definitely recommend this place and I will be back again.

I love Indian food and have tried all the restaurants in town. I was a bit skeptical at first due to some of the reviews, but let me tell you, this place is legit! If you are looking for authentic food with menu items that are unique, this is the place for you. I came for dinner on my own and service was attentive and helpful. The food was excellent, hot, flavorful, fresh and spiced to my liking (I like it hot and asked for it as such and it was superb). I am plant based (aka vegan) and they had selections from the entrees marked as such which was a bonus. I will certainly be back and look forward to trying other dishes!

We ordered pick up and it was AMAZING. We had the Paneer Chilly, garlic naan, mint chutney, Palak Paneer, Dal Makhani, Allepey Prawns, and the Tandoori Mixed Grill--everything was absolutely delicious.

Ive been there a number of times and always enjoyed it. The main menu has some interesting dishes I havent seen at other restaurants. The lunch buffets usually have some good desserts not listed on their regular menu. The service is usually pretty fast.

Good food friendly helpful staff. Soft, pleasing deccore. Was quiet the night we were there.Not everything is in the menu so ask. The heat was dialed in perfectly. Will def return.
