Ive never been disappointed with Husker SewVacs service. Usually I get my sewing machine back from being serviced or repaired sooner then the estimated time they give me.

This is the best sales and repair shop in Lincoln. I have worked with Brian and his team for many years and have always been extremely happy with the work and service. Brian has gone above and beyond for me and my machines and I couldnt be more pleased. I highly recommend this shop.

We went in with an old Singer, figuring we would be buying. But he fixed it or helped us out with the machine malfunction. Out with our Singer in less than 30 minutes. He make it all look easy.

Talked with someone on the phone about purchasing a Brother business-grade embroidery machine. The employee was not very helpful and seemed annoyed with me. Youd think that a small shop like this would be excited about such an order. I will be ordering through an online dealer instead.Edit: I ordered a new Brother 6-thread embroidery machine through an online dealer— they offer free shipping anywhere in the country! Great service and very accommodating.

I went in clueless and Bryan was very helpful. He took the time to show us the features of 2 different machines. My daughter is very excited to start using her new machine.

I can now see why they have such poor reviews. My machine was taken in to have a spool threader replaced, only the stem from the threader was broke, the rest of the threader was intact. When dropping it off at the counter, the assistant tugged at the piece and broke it off. Unaware, I thought that it needed replaced anyway and wouldnt affect anything else. When I picked up my machine, I noticed the handle wouldnt go down all the way as before. THEY DRILLED A HOLE IN MY NEW MACHINE AND PUT IN A BIG BOLT TO PLUG THE HOLE, preventing the handle from lying down flat. There are visible plastic shavings to be seen inside and something rattling now within. Their claim is, this was the only way to replace the horizontal threader. (That they broke but deny). They never bothered to tell me about it, I discovered it after getting home and planning to sew. This machine is less than a year old and now has permanent, visible damage caused by inept people that do not know how to repair things properly. Not to forget, their rudeness should not go unremarked. Also, although it is a DC2015 model, it was purchased as a new machine a year ago. I would like to see the video they claim to have, as I witnessed the clerk pull on the spindle and break it.

It’s always a mixed bag then shopping there. Have shopped there for years and purchased several sewing machines. The staff know the business and provide quality repairs all the while with a snarky attitude. Patience people, we customers are why you’re in business.

Great place to get your sewing machine fixed. They also have a large selection of machines to buy! One of these days I will have to upgrade and this will be the place that I buy one from.They do a great job and they fixed my sewing machine and it is running better than it did before. This is the only place I will take my sewing machines for repair!!

This place of business is the only location Ill take any sewing machine to be serviced. They have a long history with my family of being honest and doing quality work. My grandmothers 301a Singer was serviced here every year until she recently passed and it continues to work wonderfully. My mother bought a 401a Singer for my use from this shop. Although I live more than an hour away I will only take it to Husker Sew and Vac for servicing. In the past Ive owned 2 vintage sewing machines and worked with other sewing shops with less than desirable results. Both machines were not maintenced well by the other shops. Sometimes a long drive is well worth it. This shop has amazing customer service! I always feel welcome coming to get accessories for my machine when swinging through town. If I have a question and need to call no one has ever been rude to me. My family loves this shop as they have earned our trust over several decades. Thank you.

I took my non working Kenmore sewing machine to Husker and they told me it needed a new pulley, but said a new one could not be bought. I asked if a used one could be bought and installed, even with no guarantee that it would work, nor for how long it would work. I explained I loved my sewing machine and was willing to do whatever it would take to fix it. The technician said he would look for a used one and I said I would do the same online. Some time later, I was called and asked to pick up my machine because it said do not fix on the repair tag. I explained to the gal who called that I wanted it fixed and that the technician was working with me to find a used part. The technician got on the phone and told me there was no room for my machine and to pick it up, unless I wanted them to throw it in their recycle pile. I picked the machine up and took it to another shop. That shop looked it over and told me you dont replace the pulleys, you clean and oil them. They did a major tune up on my machine and now it works perfectly! In Huskers defense, they did not try to sell me a new machine, but they did say they did everything they could for my machine. They also said the other shop must have replaced the pulley and not told me. In the end, Im happy because my beloved sewing machine works, and I know where Im going next time I have an issue with it and its not Husker.

Melissa visited with me by phone about Ricarr vacuums. She was excellent! Very informative and helpful and sweet. I had one years ago and wanted another one. We came in from Grand Island and worked with Mark and Bryan. Wow. We were very impressed. Bryan wasn’t trying to sell us anything, but instead he explained what the models could do and the differences. He took into account the size of our home, the floor coverings involved, and the age and comfort of the user. No pressure whatsoever. He went above and beyond in every way. I’m looking forward to coming back in a year for the free servicing! Highly, highly recommend!

Such a great experience today. I brought in my machine to have the tension worked on and since they knew I was from 2 hours away they said they would look at it right away. While I went to visit a relative they repaired my machine so I didn’t have to drive back. I will recommend this shop to all of my quilting friends!

I have bought approximately 8 sewing/embroidery machines and two vacuums from Husker Sew Vac. They have always been helpful in showing me the machine that I need for what I am wanting to sew/embroider. Whenever I have a problem, they are just a phone call away and willing to help me work through the issue -- even when I was in Arizona for a quilting retreat. I would and have recommended them to my friends when they are looking for a sewing machine or vacuum and superior customer service.

I am very impressed with the knowledge and helpfulness I received when purchasing my Brother Scan and Cut from Husker SewVac. I knew that I wanted to start making a few vinyl items, but did not know what to buy. Melissa walked me through the entire process from the proper machine and all the supplies I would need. She saved me a lot of time and money because I ended up with exactly what I needed for a great price and no waste. She also took the time to tell me quite a few tricks! Thank you so much! Charged me over $300 to NOT fix my multi needle machine. Took it back twice for the same issue, the third time they said sorry send it to the dealer because he wont even look at it again. I asked for a refund and was told that my $340 was for his time and labor, not for a guarantee that he could actually fix the problem. Had to ship my machine into the authorized repair shop, who was able to fix it with no problems. I will definitely be taking my machines somewhere else!!

Professional and very knowledgeable about the products. I would highly recommend. I tried saving a few dollars by taking to another local shop. I wasnt happy with the way it was operating so I took it here just to find out it was never serviced at the competition. It ended up costing me more! Lesson learned....I will continue to use Husker Sew and Vac from here on out!!!!

My vacuum cleaner stopped working and took it in to Husker, fixed and repaired with time to spare. Having two dogs and 3 kids I cannot wait to long to have my vacuum repaired. Thanks for your affordable and friendly service.

I had my older Singer 2662 serviced here. Wow it was done quick and the gentlemen that performed the work was a gem. I have always been treated well and am grateful they carry parts for older machines. Everytime I call they tell me if the part is available or if it needs to be ordered. Plus who has a better price on scissor sharpening??

The customer service was the WORST I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED!!!!!!! There were four people working and no other customers. I walk in with my Dyson vacuum and as I stand at the counter(for 3-5 minutes) where two men stand there talking and looking at me and one man who looks like he may be the repair man sits on a stool smiling at me... finally the lady that was in lobby straightening up the area comes over to ask if I need a repair. As I explain to her the problem and that the Dyson warranty center had sent in all the information they needed one of the men talking says yes we have that information here and then proceeds to ask me questions on how often I use the vacuum. I explain to him that I have seven children at home and use it several times a day. He then tells me the WARRANTY is NULL due to the fact that would be considered commercial use and tells me I will have to pay for it myself and it will be two weeks or longer until its ready. I called the warranty center back and they said this was not true, So I go back in to Husker SewVac and they got angry with me for calling the warranty center and refused me service and also I had my one year old with me and the man was using very foul language as he returned my vacuum. I had to drive all the way to Lavista to Vacuum by Scott to get my vacuum fixed and of course my warranty was honored. They did a great job, They were fast, friendly and efficient. It was worth the drive!

I wouldnt give this shop my business if I owned a sewing machine. And I rather buy a new vacuum then ever deal with the rudeness my family recieved today. The owner/manager of the shop kept calling my home asking for a Darrel and Judith. Well theres a Darrel here but not Judith. Was told this on multiple occasions when calling. Then proceeded to tell my husband and my son the internet doesnt lie! Told my husband to teach our kids to answer the phone properly! Well sir you need to listen as an adult and the first time you are told someone dont live here you should probably accept that answer instead of calling and harassing my home phone multiple times. Im sure the proper owners would love to know youre just going to throw their sewing machine in the trash because you didnt get the proper information when they dropped off said product and you trusted the internet to give it to you! Not my families fault you lack in getting proper information! RUDE! RUDE! RUDE!

I have nothing but praise and thankfulness for Husker SewVac. I have purchased 2 vacuum cleaners, had vacuum cleaners repaired, purchased bags, etc. I think there service is fantastic. They have always been able to solve all my problems that are related to their products and service.

I had taken my machine to another shop in town and it sat there untouched for 3 weeks. Picked it up and took it to Husker. They told me an estimate up front and had it done in 1 week. Works like a charm. Fast and friendly service.

I am not surprised they have been called rude and had multiple ratings of 1 - I would have like to have given a 0 if it would have let me. We were sold an incorrect part to my sewing machine and the person who sold it to us who never makes a mistake (at least that he has admitted to) wrote it down as the part that we had requested on the receipt. So when we tried to return, it obviously did not work, we were told that was not the part that we had bought. WRONG! It was the part we had bought there and he showed exceptionally poor customer service in his taking his I am always right attitude the customer is wrong! When he refused to do anything about it, I stated that it was this was worthless and he threw the piece on the counter and walked away. I recommend avoiding this place like the plague!

Dont want 2 help with replacement parts 4 older machines. Seem more interested in complimenting new machines

Such friendly/helpful service. They came out to my car and carried everything in. And my only problem was a clogged hose! They carried everything back out to my vehicle and for all this....no charge!

We needed a new vacuum for a while now. We just really did not know what direction to go. Our last one was a Dyson it lasted for a long time. and we where really thinking about buying another one. Then Brian showed us the difference between a new Dyson and the Riccar. If you have not seen the in store demo they provide it is worth checking out. The difference in what the two vacuums picked up was night and day. Thank you for taking the time and having the patience to show us the difference and then letting us make up our minds.

Very poor service. Told me I would need the complete model of the vacuum to get a belt. I look up for the model number, and discover there is exactly one of this vacuum made. Also, the markup up for them was over 100%. Belts were $3,29 thru Eureka and $6.99 thru Husker Sew Vac. Will certainly never see my business again.

Very knowledgeable about things, and where able to fix my vacuum when I thought it was beyond repair.

Ive gone here for years. Im not even sure its been the same ownership but Ive always gotten straight answers. Either they can fix it or they cant and they tell you straight out.

The brushes on my hoover carpet scrubber didnt move. I brought it in, the gentleman cleaned a filter I had no idea existed and the brushes took right off. No charge and so very nice. Thank you.
