This company was so great. After a huge disaster, a crew was over at 9:30pm Thursday night. Every single person was very nice and courteous. Highly recommend this company.

Had water damage from a toilet issue. The same thing happened to some friends of ours around the same time actually. They used Yellow Van. Their experience went very well. All done within a week and they CLEANED up after their work was done. These guys took 3 weeks to determine if it was dry or not. Week three they started tearing our drywall. I never had the same people in my house. Over the three weeks they had fans owing through my house it was someone different each time doing the inspection. I got three different opinions. After the work was done. They were off the grid. My wife, insurance company, and myself called multiple times for an invoice. I had to call ServiceMasters 1800 number and complain to get my invoice so insurance could finish their end. Getting my invoice took almost 90 days. They never came back to clean the mess and clean off the walls like they said they would. Due to their lack of respect for a homeowners house my walls will need to be redone in a room as well. When I FINALLY got my invoice I had to laugh, Its almost exactly down to the penny of what my deductible is. Coincidence, I think not. Bottom line, I would avoid this company like the plague and go Yellow Van. I have used YV at my buisness for a sewer pipe that broke. They did a fantastic job at cleaning the mess and cleaning THEIR mess afterwards. I only used ServiceMaster because thats who my insurance recommended. To be fair, I dont fault the workers. They were primarily young adults just making a buck. The lack of follow through and communication with Jason, (assumed supervisor) was astounding. Do not use!

1 star only because you cant give a zero.Workmanship was poor.We had a water leak in our kitchen. In the process of drying it out I offered to remove cupboards and a shelving unit to inspect and get better airflow. Their employees told me that it would be alright without doing that.Well it wasnt. We ended up with mold in the cupboards and walls. My sheetrock had to be torn out and the insulation removed for mold remediation.I would not recommend them for water problems!!!!My opinion is that they are quite inept.

The finished portion of our basement flooded last fall and ServiceMaster was our first call. They arrived quickly and tackled all the issues. The project manager Gus was helpful in navigating the whole process and we ended up using ServiceMaster for all the repair work, too. It was a relief knowing that someone experienced was getting all the right people on-site for the needed repair work. Couldnt be happier with the work!

Really wish we had a choice in what company does service for our apartments, long story short its been 3 weeks and many missed appointments on service masters part and nothing has been resolved. Again today was told they would be here this morning and to have our bedroom cleared out and nobody shows up. When we follow up and inquire we are told they shouldve been here. What couldve been done two weeks ago is turning into a month long wait.

I’m not one to usually write reviews, but my experience with ServiceMaster makes me feel obligated to do so.After some powerful rains in Lincoln, my finished basement took on some water at various spots, so I called these guys (along with some others) and made an appointment. The next day two KIDS came out and started to rip up the carpet and diagnosis the problem areas. I had a lot of questions, being this was the first time my house took on water, but they weren’t very helpful in answering them. They seemed pretty tired to honest. When I asked how much it would be ballpark, they said a project manager would give me a call, because they had no clue. When you have wet spots in your basement, there isn’t really anything you can do but say okay.So I waited a day and a half, which the basement was dry by then, and decided to call ServiceMaster back. My message was supposedly emailed to the supervisor that I was supposed to talk to? After another hour, and no response, I realized when the guys came out they called me. So I gave that cell a call back.I told them that it was dry, they could pick up their equipment. He responded they were really busy and that it might sit there until Monday being that it was Saturday. After a few questions for him, he said ‘well we are in the area, so I can we could maybe come pick it up.’ He said he would let me know. Well I was outside when the pulled up, he never did call me, but I was glad they were there.Immediately an older driver gets out of the truck and noticing how defeated he looked, I said something about how the rain must be keeping them busy. His immediate response was “it’s definitely past beer thirty,” as he sluggishly walked up my driveway – his partner thought it was hilarious. Sorry, nothing against drinking, but that’s not something I would say to clients. My buddies…yes, but not clients. I’m actually pretty sure I would have some repercussions for saying it with my company. They came in, got their equipment, tested to make sure the walls were dry, and started to leave. I asked them how much it was going to be. Their response was they didn’t know. They didn’t deal with stuff like that. That their project guy would once again call me. Fast forward about a week now and no call. Just an invoice in the mail today.By the way, that invoice, a lot more than what multiple competitors said over the phone (nearly double). Also a lot more than what my neighbors had to pay when Chem-Dry came out on a Sunday for a basement (multiple days of drying) that was way worse then my few small areas that were dry in about 16 hours.I hope I never have to deal with water in the basement again, but if I do, I won’t be calling ServiceMaster.

If your insurance company isn’t paying, you don’t want to deal with ServiceMaster. We had an unusual situation where our water continued to come into our basement for 5 days (until we got a pump put into the gravel trench that the sewer pipe is laid in.) It was groundwater (thankfully not sewer water) but groundwater means the homeowners insurance came the first day and told us we were on our own. They (American Family) did tell us that we needed to get the carpet out in 48 hours to avoid mold. So, we called a couple of companies and ServiceMaster was the first to respond. They arrived on a Friday evening and worked steadily for several hours – we are very thankful for the hard work these guys did the first night – but the experience really went downhill quickly. That first night, I asked for a ballpark estimate before signing the box on the tablet computer… they said they really couldn’t say until the office opened on Monday and could give us an estimate, but $500-$3000. On Monday, the Project Manager came, took some photos and measurements, and left. He didn’t leave us any information (their website says you get an information package… the local owner has apologized repeatedly about the poor communication we received). We expected an estimate for the job after that visit and when one didn’t arrive we followed up the next day via email. We got a response 2 days later that said ‘at about $6000’ with no details – when we requested details we got no response. When we finally got the bill, it was indecipherable – it didn’t have any line item costs. The total listed was $9800, but the email accompanying it said the owner had discounted the bill by $1000 since it was so excessive. If you find yourself in this kind of disaster, I recommend that you take notes about when crews arrive and what they do as it is happening. We insisted on a line item bill – on which we found $840 of charges for work that had not been done. Those were removed once we pointed them out, and after several discussions the owner they increased the discount offered from $1000 to $1725. The owner said their prices were set by a company that is accepted by insurance companies as the standard rates – so he couldn’t do more. He was aware that our damage was not covered by insurance. Those ‘standard’ charges include renting drying fans from ServiceMaster at a cost of $168/week each (hardware store rental is $88/week) and dehumidifiers at a cost of $707/week each (hardware store rental is $132/week). And a ‘per square foot’ charge for extracting water from the basement that equates to $250/per hour. OUCH!
