I used to count on them for technical help and it has changed in the last year. Just long waits to get connected to an agent. Ends up there is not much remote help. Most agents have such thick accents you cant understand them. . Usually suggest you have to take your equipment to the store...where they just tell you your equipment is outdated...get new. Disappointing. I miss the good service of the past.

Had my operating system crashing consistently to the point I couldnt even start my pc up, after 4 days I come pick it up, and not even hours later Im getting the exact same issues and have to just do a complete factory reset.For all the informative and questions and very polite staff, Im extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with the service.Looking forward to getting my refund, this was not worth more than the 50 or so dollars for the terrabyte backup I got to get my files back.Never using this service again.

I called for the Geek Squad to assist with television wall mountI was put on hold by the geek service rep Andrea and was disconnected . I waited 15 minutes for a call back as Andrea did repeat my telephone number before she put me on hold. I’m going to call back and hope Andrea does not answer

Complete scam! Do not waste your money on their plans! I was first told when being scammed on their protection plan that the first 2 claims would not require a deductible and then after that there would be $150 charge. My phone crapped out about a year into the plan. I went to put a claim on the phone and come to find out the deductible was $215. Combined with the protection plan being just under $200 a total of $400 was spent. I asked the Scam Squad representative how much a brand new Galaxy s7 (mind you s9s are out now) would be and it was $480. So had I not bought the plan and paid the deductible I would only really be out and additional $80 and have a new phone not a used one like they are going to give me. Also in searching for used phones (they call them certified refurbished) on Amazon they were only $230. So stay far away from any plans they offer. They dont save you any money they actually cost you more in the long run and cause a bunch of aggravation. Stay FAR FAR away from these scammers

Very disappointed in the lack of communication from the customer service at the geek squad. They told me my phone would be done in 3-5 days sometimes sooner and it has been 5 days I just called asking for an update and they said the new device has not even been sent to the store yet and they cannot tell me why. I have no received an apology for how long this is taking, or for my 2 hour in-store wait that I had to sit through last week. Just an all around lack of caring about customer satisfaction. Will not be using them again and would rather drive the hour it will take me to get to an Apple store next time I need assistance.

My car was fine until I got the remote start installed. It causes whole bunch of problems such as the battery drained out so quicky, the remote wouldn’t start the car...One more thing, if you want to make an appointment to fix it—wait for one month!

This was the worst customer service experience Ive ever had. I had to wait hours multiple times to get my laptop fixed, but they didnt even fix it all the way. You also couldnt call because their phones werent working and they couldnt figure out how to get them fixed, so you had to go in person and wait hours to hear about a problem that they didnt fix.

Called to see what it would cost to have a repair done. The lady on the phone could and would only tell me it would cost $100 to have a tech come and look at the issue but wouldnt say anything else, even after being told what the exact issue was (I just dont trust myself to fix it). After 30 minutes on the phone with her and being put on hold multiple times she finally told me that she wasnt able to schedule an appointment and that I had to come into the store to set one up. Why do you have a phone number if literally nothing can be done over the phone? Guess who isnt going to be getting my business? Thats right, you guys.

Didnt call me to inform me of further information needed on my laptop. I only found out via email 2 days after my laptop sat there having nothing done to it. Didnt call when my computer was done, once again found out via email. Matt is absolutely awful. The only reason for a second star is because mike made things right. Dont waste your time or money.

When we purchased a new iPhone 8 Plus for my wife from Best Buy I contacted Apple about changing the battery on her iPhone 7 Plus in order to pass the phone down to another family member ( due to the loss of peak efficiency of the battery). Apple informed me that The Geek Squad service at the Best Buy where we purchased her new phone was also the local Apple authorized service provider as well. When I took the phone to get the battery changed the Geek Squad technical support staff was absolutely fabulous to deal with. They explained everything they were about to do in simple plain language and how long it would take and what it would cost. Upon returning to pick up my phone I was told that during the procedure one of the battery hold down tabs had broken. They promptly replaced the entire device at no charge. Now that’s what I call SERVICE !! It’s understandable that from time to time these things happen but to receive such compensation on the spot tells me I was in the right place. I will continue to patronize this establishment knowing that they care about my complete satisfaction.

Had an appt for 1:40p. Sat there are til 2:15p, day not for the guy to tell me I don’t have apple care (I do). I don’t blame him for that, but why have appt times if you can’t even meet with them anywhere close to the appt time and shouldn’t they at least be checking people in when they get there so that if there is an issue, they could tell you that before you waste 35 minutes waiting?

I had always gone with geek squads plans, because their plans are highly recommended through Best Buy mobile. We trusted them and have never had any issues throughout the years we’ve purchased through them (10+), which was great. The one time we have a major issue, and I only found out because my step daughters phone cracked and Apple made me aware it did not have Apple care on the account. I was completely confused and on the phone for 2+ hours. I found out, and tried to fix, that we were needing to provide a new card/payment. I called and Cory thoroughly helped me at Best Buy Mobile (Lincoln, NE), acting like no big issue to get this taken care of through Geeksquad ($24ish). But after calling and speaking to geeksquad, I was told geeksquad ONLY notifies you via email (that was not checked) and them telling me I needed to provide a new card, but it was now too late. Geeksquad representative, Fergy, and her manager, Cecilia, stated that it is my fault because I did not notify them within the 14 days, so her phones Apple Care expired, yet two other plans were being taken out of the same account, which is why it was never caught. It made no sense, nor did they care whatsoever that it was not on purpose, and did not care how I stated I’d be more than willing to pay it and provide the new card. We’ve paid for Apple Care, and multiple other plans for our phones, and have purchased through Best Buy many times, to be told the one time we have an issue that they’re “sorry they can not help but not sorry because it’s your fault”. Very unfortunate and very upsetting. Due to this customer service and no help regardless, I can easily say that I refuse to purchase anything now through Best Buy, period. If I could provide 0 stars, I would. But I have to provide atleast 1 for this review.

Terrible customer service. Not willing to work with me in regards to a billing error. Was on hold for 15 minutes waiting to speak to a manager, hung up, called back, another 5 minute hold only to be told all the managers were in a meeting. Was promised they would call me in 30 minutes after the meeting. Never heard from them. Absolutely worthless. Canceled my phone insurance with them and went back to Verizons plan.
