I have been going to Mimi since I was a kid- my entire family has (were short). The quality of service and kindness at Pro Alterations cant be beat. I moved away but still bring clothes home to get altered when I visit because I havent found someone who does as great a job for such a reasonable price. Ive had them alter uniforms, jeans, pants, blazers, formal dresses- all with great results.

I love them. They provide great advice and it doesnt take them long to do the alterations.

I brought a dress in to be shortened on 8/9/19. The lady measured my dress and marked where I wanted it shortened too. I told her I wanted to pick it up on Saturday 8/10/19 and she said that would be fine so I paid for the alterations and the extra charge for express service up front. I go back on Saturday and get my dress and everything looked fine. However, when I tried my dress on today the length was the same as when I brought it to her. They didnt do anything to it! I went back to try and get a refund and they refused. I will definitely not be coming back here.UPDATE: I took my dress to another tailor and it turns out Pro Alterations did shorten it but only on one side then sewed it back together using the wrong stitch.I have since taken my dress to another tailor.

Mimi is so nice and sweet. Her work is amazing and she works quick. I’m not sure why she has 3 stars she deserves all fives. When I walked in the store she was working on a wedding dress and it was a simple dress but by the time she was done with it she made it look beautiful. When I went in I came in 20 minutes before closing and she still helped me and my mom out.I gave her my prom dress on Tuesday for Saturday and she had it done on Friday. She even made some quick changes for me on Friday. If I ever need anything else altered I’m going her she affordable and evidently knows what she talking about. THANK YOU MIMI

CAUTION! No stars! I brought a bridesmaid dress in to be hemmed in time for a wedding. I had dropped it off 2 weeks prior to the date I needed it by. I went to pick it up the day before the wedding and THEY DIDNT EVEN TOUCH THE DRESS. THEY NEVER STARTED ON IT!!! She offered to do it by 7 that night but I could not come back. I was just so shocked. I had them give me the dress back, i had to beg another place to do it for by the next day. THIS IS A WEDDING NIGHTMARE. BEWARE DONT TAKE YOUR DRESSES HERE

Excellent alterations. This will be my 3rd wedding as a mother of the groom/bride alteration I have done with Mimi. My daughter in law had her wedding gown done here too and her dress was perfect on her. Mimi is very good & detail oriented. Prices are reasonable too!

Brides maid dress needed several things done. Mimi said come back in two weeks. Came back and dress not done, told her I will come back in two days. Dress still not done! She took 5 customers before me and said just a minute I just have to fix something. I waited for 1.5 hours with my children because she didnt have my dress done. I gave her two weeks and two days and all she said was she got backed up with so many dresses. She wanted to give me a small discount which was insulting to me for all Id been through. I had to make two extra trips and wait with my children for the work to get done! No phone call was made, owner didnt even tell me the second time that it wasnt done and then I had to wait. Uneceptable!! Dont go to this place, they obviously cant handle the work that they get.

Went to Mimis Pro Alternations. She did an awesome job on my party dress and made it make me look my best.

I havent even gotten my shirt back, and I think the service here is terrible. I dropped it off two weeks ago to get a patch sewn on. The lady told me to come back in a week to pick it up. I came back the day she said, was late to work, because they dont open until 9:30AM, and she said it wasnt done yet to come back another day. I couldnt come back until a week later (today), and I was late to work again to get there at 9:30AM, which is when they open... and I waited until 9:45AM and no one was there and it was locked! I called and left a voicemail. There was another lady outside waiting as well. Im so ticked. I Need my shirt back for this weekend, and that was my only chance to pick it up. I am never using this place again, and I do not recommend anyone else to use it either- terrible service. You cant just not open when you say youre supposed to be open.

I do all my alterations with them including my familys and customers. They do a great job. I recommend them to people all the time.

I ordered a dress and the manufacturer was going to customize my dress so I needed measurements. In most cases at alteration shops this is free. She completed the measurements for free but was nasty the entire time. She attempted to charge me $5 and didnt even want to write the measurements down. Turns out I still need someone to alter the dress but guess who it wont be? She just lost business due to being unprofessional and rude.

SO, I CALLED THE SHOP & ASKED IF I DROPPED THE SHIRT OFF TODAY, WOULD IT BE READY WITHINE ONE DAY, THE ANSWER WAS YESSSSS... SO, I DROPPED THE SHIRT OFF ON FRIDAY EVENING & MIMI PROMISED TO HAVE IT READY THE NEXT DAY AROUND 1PM... MINE YOU, I HAD ABSOLUTELY NOOOOOOOOOO MEASUREMENTS OR ANYTHING.. I EXPLAINED TO HER THAT WE ORDERED THE SHIRT ONLINE & IT WAS JUST TOOO, TOOO BIG & SHE SAID TO ME, ILL TAKE CARE OF IT BY ALTERING DOWN ONE SIZE... UPON MY ARRIVAL THE NEXT DAY, I WAS VERY SURPRISED, THE SHIRT LOOKED AS IF I HAD PURCHASED THE RIGHT SIZE.. MIMI DID AN AMAZING JOB & IM A CUSTOMER FOR LIFEEEE! PLUS, HER PRICES WERE VERY REASONABLE.....THANKS SO MUCH, MY HUSBAND & I WERE VERY PLEASED..... :)

These folks rating the place 5 stars must be friends and family who get special service/rates I guess... I dont see how this place can be rated 5 stars. Recently I took 3 pairs of pricey ($200+) jeans to the closest alternation place I could find on the navigation service, without reading any reviews or doing any research. Why? Because all I needed to do is turn my 31/34 jeans into 31/32. Cut two inches from the bottom and sew it back up as it was. Nothing complicated here. There are brand new, unworn, rigid, unwashed denim - so nothing to worry about the fade/wash/etc. Its a straight up cut and sew job. Guess what, the whole experience, as well as the job they did, is terrible to say the least. Firstly, the man at the counter talked to the women in the back in an Asian language for almost 5-7 minutes while holding my jeans. He wasnt looking at her, or me, just the jeans, and talking to her in the back. If this had gone on for a couple more minutes I was thinking of getting out of there, which I wish I had. But he finally spoke to me and agreed to do the alterations and asked me to come back in a week. Really? Anyway, when I go to pick up the jeans he charges me more than the receipt he gave me, and explains the additional amount as being tax. Then why didnt you add it to the receipt in the first place? Anyway, at the end of this whole ordeal, it turns out that they did not even use the Lock-stitch that is standard on jeans. Even an intern would know that! This place is an utter disappointment and a waste of time, money, and you may end up possibly ruining your pricey garments. Not going back here nor recommend at all.
