Did a great job installing my two sets of double hung windows and cleanup was impeccable. My main problem now (8 days after installation) is that I have been trying for a week to get the installers back to adjust the tops of all 4 windows. When you open them they all creep back up / won’t stay down. Window Nation has contacted Vytex but so far I’ve not heard from a soul. We are now having open windows weather and every window in my house is functional except my brand spanking new windows. Very disappointed.
Great windows! My utility bills are lower after having Vytex replacement windows installed and they look real nice.
HORRIBLE customer service. I ordered windows which took 4 months to come in - I completely understand as COVID has caused a lot of issues. When they did call me, they gave me a 4 day window to install, I picked a day and was given a window of 11 -2 for the arrival. One of the rooms which was getting done is my sons who is taking online classes - he asked me to move the schedule up to 12:00 at the earliest as he had a class that the teacher sprung on him. I called to ask this company not to come until 12:00, which was in the scheduling window; they proceeded to tell me that I was going to get a fee (and not a small one) for doing this. I am taking the matter to court, shame on this horrible company !
Crew was professional, and good at what they did.. love the new windows.
Werent very responsive and customer service/communication was almost always delayed. During installation they scratched our floors and broke a window. None of the installers were able to communicate with us and one contractor got injured on the job on our property and our roof was damaged during his injury. Its like pulling teeth to get them out here to complete the job. Its been 10 weeks and still no confirmation on timeline to complete the job and update the contract pricing. This is our home and they dont seem to prioritize finishing the job or fixing any of the damage. I find it shocking that a company would break windows and damage a roof during installation and not prioirtize fixing the issue. Even answer a simple email or follow up with a customer. Just the basics. Its been a really disappointing experience.
Nice place, good deals and professional service
My patio door in the basement leaks and ruined my carpet and molded the wall along the baseboard. They simply added more caulk to repair it. They then came back and put a piece of board along the upper deck against the house to prevent water from going down to the bottom level and into the patio door frame. The windows gaps were covered with aluminum and caulked. The gap shown is where the window ended and the outside brick began. It was covered with aluminum and caulked. I smell mold in that room but they couldnt detect it. How convenient. Now my bay window is coming apart. The came back and added more caulk. The piece sticking out on the bay window is because when they folded the aluminum to go under it was cut to long and pushes itself away from the house. Thats why the separation. They fixed it once but couldnt figure out why it was happening. I did.
A representative stopped by our house uninvited the other day. My husband agreed to an appointment since hes been interested in replacing the windows and it was scheduled for today (2 days later). The representative assured us that the estimator would spend minimal time in the house (COVID, after all). He spent an hour. Not only did he spend an hour, but he wasnt wearing an appropriate mask. it was soft, stretchy, breathable cotton material, and very thin looking. It was more like a cheap gaiter than a mask and I doubt it did anything to protect anyone. Of course the estimator arrived at a time when I was very busy with work. I had to leave my office so he could measure the windows. I tried to get back to my work, but he insisted I had to see the window. I saw the window. It was not, as the original canvasser had told us, the same as the few new windows we do have in the house. I pointed this out. I also noted that I had to get back to work. The estimator/salesman/whatever he was REFUSED to give my husband a quote for window replacement because I didnt have time to listen to his sales pitch. What kind of legitimate company does that? The guy spent an HOUR milling about our home in an inadequate mask, interfered with my work, and then refused to provide an estimate because I needed to get back to work, not watch him show off a miniature model window.
Excellent customer service! Henry and Mike were professional, courteous, on-time and handled the glass with care. Vytex would provide delivery updates to their facility as well as when it would be at our home. They were able to properly size the French door windows for our patio, and we received outstanding service. They also helped clean our shattered glass door. I will use them in the future and recommend them to family, friends and neighbors.
The person answering the phone is very rude and incapable of costumer service hanging a phone several times during conversation and while its ringing, you can tell she is arrogant the way she is answering questions.
We have been in the window & door business for nearly 30 years. We have purchased and installed a fair number of windows from Vytex. They have an excellent product, we would highly recommend their products. However, it stops there. There service is absolutely horrible. Most times when you call in to the company you get voicemail. Getting service from them is VERY difficult. What good is a product when the service behind it is miserably pitiful?? This company would get 1 star for that reason.
Vytex stood behind their warranty after 17 years. Excellent installation technicians and customer service.
Updated reviews, see below after original comment.15 years ago, Ive installed windows and doors that have been guaranteed to last for ever by the dealer, of which I am not sure if it s still in business. Unfortunately a glass pane of the door has broken, few days ago. I completed the online requested form to contact Vytex and Ive also made a phone call. So far, no one from Vytex or from a dealer contacted me to help with a replacement. Of course I expect to pay for it. Meantime Ive contacted numerous companies to get the double pane glass sliding door replaced. So far no one ever heard of Vytex as a manufacturer. AT this time Ive ordered a new patio glass sliding door made by Andersen. I recommend shopping for windows and doorsfrom companies and dealers well known, which offer variety of products at lower prices, companies that will be still in business in 10-15-20 years after you buy their products.Updates. The company was not responsive until I posted the above comment. Anyhow, thanks for the response. Your customer representative confirmed my concerns: if she would have been trained to care, instead of telling me to wait more days to hear back from company, after online submitted request, she shouldve checked the files that the request arrived and awaits consideration.
I had my GC install Vytex windows. I shopped at all the BIG names out there, compared ratings and I could not be happier than supporting a local company. The Vytex installers were super efficient and the craftsmanship was 2nd to none. I had 22 double hung windows with 4 picture windows installed and trimmed in 7 hours. The yard was cleaner than when they started . I wish I could give 10 stars! The product and install crew are outstanding.
They are really nice guys I delivered with big rig get in by 8:00 am and out by 08:45 am. Fast delivery time 👍. Clean restrooms.
As a Vytex dealer we enjoy the quality product made by a large family run business. We look for several things when we offer a product to our customer: beauty, value, performance, and life cycle. We have found them all in Vytex windows.
On time did a great job
All of my windows on the first floor have had the spacer move toward the center of the window since the windows were first installed. I can see the edge of the spacers on all of the windows. I can guarantee you they were not like that when they were installed. I would have never approved them for installation in the present condition.I opened a service request and sent pictures. The request was denied, within 24 hours, because the spacers were within industry standard I ask that a service tech come and take a look and that was done. When setting up the onsite appointment I asked the CSR rep, Erin M, what the industry standard is. Erin explained that if the edge of the seal in not visible the seals are within the standard. I asked Erin, via e-mail, to provide me the name of the standard or a link to it but Erin has not provided or responded since the e-mail was sent 1-31-2020. In the same e-mail I also asked for the name of the specific spacer used in my particular windows, Potomac HP. I have not received that either. In less than 24 hours after the onsite inspection I received a call from another CSR rep stating the claim was denied because it was within the industry standard. I also asked that Vytex customer service representative to send me a link to the standard. I provided my e-mail address and the CSR rep confirmed he had the correct address. As of today I have not received the e-mail that was promised.I have consulted someone who has been in the window business for over 20 years and he is not aware of any such standard or spacers moving once they have been installed. 3 different Window Nation /Vytex CSR reps have stated the spacers are within industry standard No Window Nation/Vytex representative could name the industry standard the claim was denied under but all state that is the reason. Since the standard has not been identified but appears to be the default reason for denial I am beginning to wonder if it is just a business practice standard? My last denial was a call from Mark C, on Friday March 6 2020. Mark stated he is a service and warranty department supervisor or manager in the Pittsburgh region. I dont remember exactly what title he used. He stated that spacers are not under warranty. I asked Mark if the spacers were part of the complete window. He stated they are and I pointed out Window Nations advertisement states Lifetime warranty on the complete window, glass, screen and all moving parts. Mark also stated the spacers are within industry standard.Since I was not making any progress obtaining the promised information I ask Mark to be a point of contact and let him know what I was interested in. 1) Name and link to industry standard the claim has been consistently denied under, 2) manufacture and model of spacer as well as contact information, 3) is there adhesive used when spacers are installed? Mark didnt have the answers to any of these questions and reluctantly agreed to get me the answers. However, as of now Mark has provided absolutely nothing and did not feel it necessary to return the v-mail I left one week after our initial conversation. These spacers are so out of line that they could never passed the 50 point manufacturing inspection that Window Nation claims to perform on each window. These windows should be replaced under warranty and free of charge. I also have to wonder why a company that puts some much money in to advertising their quality would not want to determine where the manufacturing process broke down in this production run.I would like to add I have the exact window, Potomac HP, on my second floor and the spacers have not moved one bit. Both sets of windows were manufactured on different dates. One set is defective and one set is not.Dan S.
I just pent 3 hours completing an application online and I am sure I am the top applicant as I just came from from the largest window and door company in the southwest. However, the site would not accept my information after several tries. Guess I should be glad...after reading the reviews.
I had eleven windows installed about a month ago and paid in full upon installation. Within 72 hours we had 2 windows have condensation throughout. Then within a week I had another window get condensation. I expressed that my wife runs a daycare from home and we cant have a weekday service call. My 1st scheduled appointment was towards the end of September (1st available), but due to conflict with schedule it is now in October. I am being told that is the best they can do. If these windows along with the installation company have a 99.5% rating, how could they have that many service calls that take priority over a customer that just had windows installed and paid for them in full upon installation?🤔Update on 11/22/19.A Vytex service technician came out and showed my wife and I areas of haze on the windows with condensation on them. He recommended that these sashes be replaced. A few weeks later, 3 more windows have condensation on the inside of the windows. The technician came out again and saw evidence of haze whereas he had concern. After waiting 3 days, I never heard from anyone. Once I made contact with them , I was told there was nothing else they could do or willing to do.So here it is after installation:Service call for 3 screens that were deeply scratched.2nd service call for window condensation.3rd service call to replace sashes on windows with condensation.4th service call for 3 more windows with condensation. Being told that although technician had concerns with windows, they werent willing to send anyone out.WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY OR THEIR PRODUCTS!WINDOW NATION USES THEIR WINDOWS , SO BE SURE THAT YOUR NOT GETTING VYTEX WINDOWS !
This company does not stand by their warranty. Two Windows have cracked and all the company wants to do is charge crazy labor rates to just come look and measure Windows. I do not recommend this window company.
The hottest freshest windows around.
Great
I have windows and sliding glass doors that were installed in a house prior to me owning it. The original owner left me the warranty information and I have called and even written an email with NO response. If if the work wasnt under warranty, I still needed service work, but STILL waiting. It would make me even more mad if I would have made the purchase myself!
Had a contractor in NJ replace 17 windows using Vytex Windows in the spring. The windows are very strong and look high end. The new windows definitely helped with the drafts. Our old windows were original from 1987 and our home was freezing in the winter and hot as an oven in the summer. The new vytex windows definitely got rid of the draft issue we had and the difference is very noticable especially in the bedrooms. Next on our list is a new patio door from vytex.
Vytex is a quality Window manufacturer in Maryland - Vytex also offers a Lifetime warranty on their products.
We need to write a nice review on vytex windows. Vytex make a good window and has very good customer service. Had new windows installed about 4 years ago and one of the windows malfunctioned which may have been caused by my son. Called the company/contractor that installed our windows and they contacted vytex since they manufactured the window and have a warranty. Vytex took care of the problem quickly and with no hassle. Vytex honors their warranty and doesnt seem to get caught up in any fine print like so many other companies. Wish more companies would conduct themselves like vytex. Thanks !!
