Affordable is NOT just their name it IS what they are plus they gave quality service! We got several estimates to remove 9 large trees some close to the house Affordable ended up removing 14 plus and 8 Stumps for less than the other estimates! (That is Affordable) They went out of their way to protect our lawn and cleaned up after the job was done. They were very friendly & courteous. We will use them again for our house and church. I have used Affordable Tree Service three times over the past three years and I cannot recommend them any more highly. They quickly come out for a free estimate and from there scheduling is also hassle free. They work with you to find the most efficient and cost effective solution for your job and complete the tree work in lightning speed. I have recommended them to all of my neighbors and a couple coworkers and they all had great experiences as well. I cannot recommend them any more highly!!! I hope to use them well into the future for my tree needs.

Im so pleased with this company. Made an estimate appointment about 2 weeks out. Carlos came at the agreed upon time. Informative about their process and expected schedule. Gave me a quote on the spot. Very reasonably priced for 6 large trees some close to my house. Beat the other estimates I got. 5 man team showed on the day agreed upon about 9:00am and went to work. Exceeded my expectations. Did the job in less than a day leaving both my back and side yards clean and disposed of the trees as wanted. When needed again these are my guys.

Great experience. I had a tree that was splitting and rotting. I got a quote on Wednesday and the crew came to do the work on Thursday. They did the job in two hours. Safe, efficient, professional, and effective. The clean up was spectacular as well. Highly recommend and I will be coming back for future service!

Rick, his staff, and his tree removal crew provided excellent customer service from start to completion of the tree removal and clean-up. The quality of work was outstanding, and the cost was much lower than several other estimates I received for the removal of several large overhanging trees in my backyard. The crew was punctual, efficient, friendly, and had every piece of equipment needed for the job! It took about 1 week from consultation to finish. Crew came on time, if not early, and worked fast and effectively. We received an outrageous quote from 1 company and a no-show from another prior to contacting this company. It is apparent the owner and staff of this company are honest hard-working individuals. We cant thank you enough for the seamless service when we were already stressed from other factors. Highly recommended.

We had a great experience with Affordable Tree Services with everything from scheduling to project completion. The overall cost was significantly lower than our previous estimates, but the work was pure quality. The crew showed up in a timely manner and expediently took down three large problem trees, two of which had grown over the house. Despite the challenges there was no damage to any of the property and the cleanup was great. We highly recommend this company for tree service.

It was a maple tree about 40 feet high with three huge branches leaning from my neighbor backyard over the fence. I needed to cut this three branches. Every branch was leaning with about 60 degrees angle from horizon. It looked very complicated to work with. I decided to go with professional company having necessary experience as well as license and insurance. Got few estimates from different companies. Affordable Tree Services gave me a lowest price. They came at the day and time they promised. Once they started the work I could not get my eyes away from them. It was so cool to watch people knowing exactly what they doing. Every piece was cut and moved down accurately without any damage to the fence or shrubs in my backyard. It looked so easy. No minute I had a feeling that that guy on the tree cutting branches was in danger. It was clear he knows his work. All branches were moved and loaded to their truck. Even leaves that fell from branches were removed from grass. All wood I decided to keep for fireplace was accurately cut and put on the place I showed. All this took about two and a half hours. I paid $1200 for this. It is not cheap but keeping in mind the actual quality of their work and piece of mind (insurance, license) I think this is completely justified. Anyway this is still my opinion. Everybody is free to chose what they think is right.Kudos to Affordable Tree Service!

We needed a huge sweet gum tree cut down that was near our house. They came within a couple of days and had it cut down and removed within 4 hours while significantly beating the price of 4 competitors estimates. Ive recommended them to several friends and will use them again when the need arrises.

Took down a big tree in the front yard that was dying. Professional and efficient. They took care to damage the plants in the front yard as little as possible.

Affordable Tree Service cleared out all the dead branches in our English Elm. They arrived on time, wore their face masks, were friendly and professional, and cleaned up the debris. We were very impressed and grateful!

I had called around different tree service companies (P.G. County area) to get estimates on a having a branch cut that was hanging over my roof. When I called Affordable Tree Services, Mr. Rick Johnson, the owner answered the phone. He was very friendly and asked questions that pertained to what I needed done. Mr. Johnson came out the very next day (I was not home), and called and gave me a price that was amazing!!! It beat out the competitor’s prices so much that I added additional branches to be cut. He told me that the job would begin in 2-5 business days. Due to the snow it was pushed back a few days, but they came out within that time frame. When I got home one day, my branches were gone, debris was removed, and my gutter was cleaned. The guys did an excellent job!! They went above and beyond what was expected of them. I was totally impressed and have definitely referred Affordable Tree Services to all my friends. I will be using this company again in a few months. You just can’t beat the price and service!! Five workers from Affordable Tree Service just left our home after 5+ hours of working. They did a fabulous job taking down three very old, very tall, and very dead trees. They were polite, on time, and cleaned up above and beyond what we expected. WARNING: If you have a weak-moms-heart, DO NOT watch the guy in the very top of the tree.EEEEEK !!! Seriously...I strongly recommend there service!

Weve used this company about five times over the years and always got terrific service. They finish the job and leave everything tidy. The best part is that they give us the best price.

Theses his did a great job. Had a tree hit by lightning that fell in my neighbors yard. They came gave an appraisal to my neighbor and myself quickly that afternoon and by the time I got home from work the next day it was gone and all the trees around my house were trimmed up.

We had three huge oak trees that were very close to our house that we have wanted to get taken down since we moved in but it was so expensive we had to wait. I saw Ricks crew across the street from our house taking down a big tree close to the neighbors house so I called Affordable Tree Service and spoke with Rick to get an estimate. Rick came over that day and gave us an estimate that was lower than anyone else and I saw his guys work and knew they knew what they were doing so we had them take down our trees. They were so polite and punctual and they took down our trees without any damage to our house or our deck( the deck was built around two big trees by a previous owner)! I am so impressed by these guys and so happy with their work we will definitely have them back for more work down the road!!

Got the best quote however they had to reschedule due to rain (understandably). Problem is they wouldnt commit to a new appointment, made promise of calling back and never did. We called repeatedly with no luck and finally gave up to go with another company. Cost me more but tree was down 2 days later. Still have not heard back.

Never, ever, use this person. One of the worst experiences with a local business Ive ever had. Called him first thing after a big storm and made an appointment to come look at my tree. He came and looked and gave me an estimate. From then on it was as if I was dead to him. Called me by the wrong name, never seemed to remember who I was. Constantly lied about where he was. We made an appointment to remove the tree on Friday first thing in the morning, we made this appointment almost two weeks in advance. I took off work. He never showed. I called him and he told me he missed my appointment because he had been deep sea fishing. Dont lie. Calls me back a few minutes later and says he will be there in the afternoon. Never showed up. Never called. Worst person ever.

The owner, Rick, came out to give me an estimate in May of 2017. Everything was professional at that point. Waited about 10 months and decided to go ahead with the work. I had to send a copy of the estimate to the guy that answers the phone. Was given the run around and played the waiting game with them for 2 weeks. Finnally, I was able to get an appointment from the owner. Only for me to wait an entire week just for them to try to reschedule the appointment. I cancelled! I wasted 3 weeks going back and forth with these incompetent people! I DO NOT recommend this company! I have already scheduled the appointment with another company! Go anywhere else!

A Tree fell on my car after a storm the folks at affordable tree services were able to cut it down and remove the train wreck the same day! Fast response and at a good price. I hope I never have another tree on my car but if I do I know who to call.Thanks again!

Super fast and Affordable,Got a tree removed for half of what most competitors were asking.Estimator was at my house 2 hrs after I called, Tree was gone within 2 hours of the estimator stopping by!!

It is very difficult for me to write this review, its both good and bad. But I must say something. I used ATS once before, here in Monrovia, they did a great job,, start to finish. No complaints. And a great quote out of 4 I received. So, I had another tree that needed to come down, I naturally called Rick. Andrew (the son) came out gave me a fair price on the additional tree and grinding all the stumps. The CREW arrives the day agreed on for the work, and the “crew foreman” refused to do the work for the agreed on price. Not Rick, the owner, not Andrew who quoted it, but the crew foreman, Carlos, decided he wasnt going to do that tree for that price. He so much as told me I wasnt telling him the truth, about the quote given to me. That ticked me off. Who runs the show at ATS? Perhaps they should call ATS Carlos’sTree Service, because obviously he makes the decisions. I dont know about you, but I know that piece of paper the quote was written on would be used to make sure I paid the correct amount, it evidently doesnt mean anything after that. So, I told Carlos he might as well pack up and go. Then I called Rich. Unfortunately, I still have not heard back from him, after multiple requests and voicemails. So, no, I would not recommend ATS any longer. If you cant do business on a mans word AND a written contract, well, you decide. Now, I have to start the process all over again. Shame on you! I’m so ticked off about this I️ don’t know what to do. This is no way to run a business, and Rick will not even call me back.
