I almost never write reviews but I am writing to fully recommend Thrifty Fix. It is an incongruous setting - a room in the back of a literal thrift store. But it was the best computer repair service I have had in years. The guy at Thrifty Fix figured out what was wrong with both my computer and portable hard drive in mere minutes. Before that I had paid another established repair place a lot of money to do nothing to help. The guy at Thrifty Fix fixed my old hard drive, then cloned it, really fast. He figured out what was wrong with my computer and fixed it whereas a previous place had misdiagnosed the problem and said it couldnt be fixed. The guy at Thrifty Fix was friendly, smart, fast, and professional. If I ever have another computer problem I am only going to bring it here. I absolutely recommend them.
Took my ipad 4 the screen was cracked, ipad would turn on when I gave it to thrifty fix, after having the ipad for 5 days they could not fix it, I took it to Gadget Guru and first thing they notice was Thrifty Fix had broken the home button, which it was OK when I gave it to Thrifty. after paying $50 for their diagnostic they found the LCD clip on the board had been broken off and missing also, ipad could not be repaired. Have tried to contact Thrifty and never got a call back, went into store 2 times and left phone number and message they never got back. It cost me a new ipad and the $50 to Gadget Guru. Would never leave anything at Thrifty to be fixed. Thrifty Fix does not stand behind their work or mess ups. They owe me a ipad.
