I was honestly skeptical at first, but he really is there. And the business is run on the backside of the house. He told me he does a knife for $4, but if its not that bad Hell lower the price. He got my chefs knife that was in terrible condition razor sharp

Have been a groomer for over 15 years, and Charlie is the only one I trust with sharpening my tools. I dont live in Las Cruces, but dont mind the hour drive to have my shears and blades sharpened by Charlie because he does top quality work. I have taken my shears and blades with local sharpening businesses in El Paso and have not been completely satisfied. Only happy with Charlie because he always does a great job and doesnt over charge. He knows what hes doing and is very nice.

I was ready to go out and buy a new set of kitchen knives as the Henckels Ive had for a while were very dull and when I had tried to get them sharpened before (from someone else) they said they just wouldnt take an edge. I left them with Charlie and when I came back he explained that the steel on these was very different and that the normal methods he uses didnt work that well. He said the steal was much harder and almost had a slick property to it so he had to use some different techniques. The results are amazing, I can take each knife and slice a sheet of paper like a razor! The price for this was a lot less than I thought it would be. He works out of the back of his house so when you get there you have to walk around the side to the back door. Theres a doorbell if he doesnt have the door open. Very interesting fellow to talk to.

This business, is run out of the back of his house; you need to walk through his yard and around to the back door. Good sharpening service; all work done same day, i dropped off items at 10:30 and was able to pick the knives, clipper blades after 4 pm. As of August 2018; he charge me $6 per clipper blade and $4 per kitchen knife blade. Quick sharpening service and very nice guy to deal with; he always answers any questions i have and gives me tech tips about clipper blades, knife use. I had a knife that was partially damaged/cracked, i removed the damaged portion and was able to reshape the tip by hand, to make it usable again. He does not have a special machine to sharpen individual teeth for kitchen knives (like a bread knife) but was able to do a overall grind to sharpen it. If you have particularly high end knives (German, Japanese, etc) and prefer; to not have much metal removed, you might look for a service that does hand sharpening, as he uses a grinding wheel, on many knives.

Had about 7 sub-professional knives I sharpened, its been about a year since Ive done it and some of the tips were even bent. Knives ranged from 10 to 3. Came back a couple of hours later, knives look brand new. Sharper than theyve probably even been, and the bent ones were even fixed too. An amazing job, great craftsmanship, and he charges an insanely low price.Couldnt recommend him more
